HanTing Hotel (Beijing Chaoyang Station Joy City)

A Pleasant Stay at a Brand-New Hanting Hotel in Beijing. I recently stayed at this Hanting Hotel in Beijing during a winter trip in December 2025, and it turned out to be a great budget-friendly choice. As a brand-new property (opened right around this time), everything felt fresh and modern, which made the experience stand out compared to older chain hotels. The staff are friendly and pro-active to help considering my limited chinese. I give them 5 out 5 stars because thats is the same service level i get when i am in 5 star hotel. Location: The hotel is conveniently situated just outside a residential complex, literally a one-minute walk to the main street. It’s quiet yet accessible perfect for avoiding the hustle of central Beijing while still being close to amenities, shops, and transport options. No complaints here; it struck a nice balance between peace and convenience. Facilities and Design: The lobby is cozy and appropriately sized—not too grand, but welcoming. What surprised me pleasantly was how large the hotel actually is once you explore it. The overall design theme is warm and relaxing, with soothing tones and modern touches that create a calming atmosphere throughout. Room Experience: For the price point, the room was impressively spacious. It was sparkling clean (as expected from a new hotel), with a large, comfy bed topped with four plush pillow, perfect for a good night’s rest. There’s a big TV, and the bathroom is a decent size with a spacious shower and toilet. Winter in Beijing can be brutal, but the heater worked wonderfully, keeping the room toasty and comfortable. The real highlight was the smart features: voice commands control everything, lights, curtains, TV, and other appliances. It felt futuristic and super convenient! The One Drawback: The only downside I encountered was a lingering smoke smell in the corridor near the elevators on the second night. Apparently, a guest had smoked while walking to his room, and while the staff responded quickly by spraying air freshener, the ventilation system didn’t fully clear it out. I understand that smoking tolerance can be more lenient in some places in China (even in restaurants), but for a brand-new hotel in the capital, I hoped they’d enforce stricter no-smoking policies to set a better standard. It didn’t ruin the stay, but it was noticeable. Final Thoughts Overall, this Hanting Hotel exceeded my expectations for a budget chain, clean, modern, comfortable, and packed with thoughtful features like voice control and solid service from all the staffs. It’s a solid option for travelers wanting value without sacrificing quality. I’d stay again and recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something new and relaxing in Beijing. Just hope they tighten up on the smoking rules moving forward!

This hotel was very convinient for us. Its directly at a metro Station that connects the city with the airport. Therefore we were quickly there, sadly most of Bejings Metro Station dont have Elevator or escalator so it was a bit of the struggele but still convenienct location. We started a trip with Mubus to Great Wall, meeting point was very close 3 Minute walk. Metro also 3 minutes walk. Hotel room big enough and clean. For non chinese speaker the Air Con at least in our room was a struggel since it was speak activated. The cleaning lady was very helpful and started it for is. We ask the man at the reception to speak us an audio message so that we could stop it. This should be opimised since the hotel welcomes foreigners. Loved the Option to recieve Packages over this hotel since my friend ordered stuff from Taobao for me and send it to the hotel even days before i arived, much appriciated.

I stayed at this hotel twice, once when I landed in Beijing at the beginning of the month, and again when I flew to New York from Beijing at the end of the month. I used their pick-up and drop-off service, which was very easy to book and communicate with. The car was spacious enough to fit multiple large suitcases. The room itself was clean and tidy, with good hot water and air conditioning, and all the facilities were well-maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The only downside was the strong smell of smoke in the hallway. I hope the hotel can enforce stricter regulations against smoking in public areas like the lobby and inside the hotel. All in all, it's a great value-for-money option! Regarding the continuous stay perks: Breakfast: The hotel breakfast wasn't extremely varied, but it was still good and could satisfy most people's needs. Guaranteed late check-out until 3 PM: This was very helpful, and I was also able to store my large luggage at the front desk. The service was excellent.

Facilities: I personally think they deserve a big thumbs up! This hotel is quite spacious for Beijing, and I was very satisfied that the bathroom, toilet, and sink area are all separated. Plus, the tissue quality is good. Hygiene: It's alright. I'm not super particular, so I didn't inspect it too closely. Environment: It's about 1.1km from the subway station. From there, walking towards Beixinqiao subway station means you can conveniently visit Lama Temple, Guozijian, Shichahai, and Ditan Park along the way (we're big walkers!). There's a large shopping mall about 800m away. Many highly-rated restaurants are also nearby, within 1-1.5km. The hotel is right by a main avenue, so getting a taxi is very convenient. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to get to/from Daxing Airport by subway (with transfers). If you take a taxi, due to the hotel being on what I believe is the Second Ring Road, traffic is horrendous. It took 2 hours to get from Daxing Airport to the hotel by taxi around 3:20 PM. Another time, it took 77 minutes to get back to the hotel from near Ju Bao Yuan in Qianmen (7.8km) by taxi at 2:30 PM. I truly experienced Beijing's notorious traffic jams! Most popular delivery services are available here. Service: Excellent! First, food delivery is handled by robots. The hotel also offers free ice cream, and the tissues are of good quality.

Staying at this hotel was great! They provide complimentary bottled water, and even toothbrushes and toothpaste, which is perfect if you forgot your own disposable ones. They even have little hair ties, which is a really thoughtful touch. You basically just need to bring your clothes and you're good to go. The check-in process was very welcoming; the front desk attendant was happy to give me extra water bottles and even gave me one for the road when I checked out. Their service is truly warm and the hygiene is excellent. **Ambiance:** The environment is also very good. **Hygiene:** Good. **Service:** The service is warm and attentive. They have a customer service contact at the front desk; once you add them on a messaging app, you barely need to go downstairs. During the day, the cleaning lady helped tidy my room. If I needed anything like water, bottled water, or towels, I just messaged the customer service contact, and they brought it right up to me. It's incredibly thoughtful and just fantastic. Checking in and out now is so convenient and fast, and the value for money is also very high. Their deluxe king room is wonderful, yet the price is very affordable compared to other places in the area. It's really good!

This was my first time in Beijing, and I'm so glad I booked this hotel. The room wasn't huge, but it was very clean and reasonably priced. It's super close to Line 2, and it's only about a ten-minute bike ride to Tiananmen Square. The staff were really friendly and patient in answering all my questions. I had a great experience and have already recommended it to my friends!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days in May and we booked a queen size bed room with no window. The first day we saw a huge cockroach in the room, we were highly disappointed. But the receptionist was very kind and offered us a king size bed room with a window with no extra charge! It was awesome! After that they apologized again and even gave us gifts, so I am satisfied now. I have to warn you: the hotel does not have a lobby or a dining room, the ”breakfast” tgat is included in the price looks just like on the first picture. It's just a bun, soy milk and an egg. Other than that, our experience was fine. A solid 4 for this price in Beijing.

I have been staying in this hotel since I came back a few years ago. It is very humane and upgraded me to a standard room on a high floor for free. I asked for a few more pairs of slippers, and they were given to me the day before yesterday. The price-performance ratio is very high. I will stay here again next time.

I had a decent stay but I experienced two major problems with this hotel. The first was right at the start after I arrived at 4.30pm (checkin is from 2pm) and was told the only available room had a plumbing issue and was asked if I wanted to leave my stuff and come back. Obviously after just having arrived in Beijing after a long train ride from another city and a long subway ride, I wanted to check into a room and change first, so I said I could wait until the room was ready. The floor was wet due to a leaking bathroom faucet and afterwards a repairman came to fix it. The second issue was noisy staff who were loud in the mornings and evenings, which impacted me as my room was on the ground floor. This is despite the hotel being small and not particularly busy. On my final morning (I stayed there 4 nights), the staff were really noisy from 7.30am and remained so for at least half an hour. It didn't even sound like there was any problem or argument, they were just being loud and disruptive, which is unprofessional. There's also a minor issue in which the hotel address number on Trip.com and the number on the front door do not match up. I had an issue finding this hotel though I accidentally found it when I walked into it and asked a staff about my hotel address (she looked at it and said ”this is it!”). My room, after the faucet issue was fixed, was decent and comfortable. The location is good, being a few minutes away from Dongsi station and a large Wu-mart supermarket and Longfu Temple mall.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right by the Drum Tower and Shichahai. Getting to Tiananmen Square is a breeze, whether you choose to cycle or take the subway. What's more, Nanluoguxiang and Yandaixiejie are just around the corner, offering a fantastic selection of dining and entertainment options.
