This stay far exceeded my expectations! First off, the owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, offering us a free upgrade to a larger room upon check-in, which was a delightful surprise. The guesthouse's decor is very tastefully done in a new Chinese style, making it incredibly elegant. Every corner shows meticulous attention to detail. Most importantly, the room facilities are brand new and spotless. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom's wet and dry separation was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone who values quality and unique charm!

Room is clean, good. The service is very amazing. Snack in room those are very delicious. They give us night tea every night of our stay and its very good. And the fruit too. Will come back to stay here if come to Datong again. Thank you.

*The staff are nice to accomodate us. *The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car). *The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee). *The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area.They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city. *Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees. *The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers,toothbrush, hair dryer,kettle and 2 bottle of water. *Last picture was epic:)

Fantastic Datong Stay! This hotel was a gem! From the start, the experience was warm, kicking off with complimentary noodles and coffee—a lovely welcome treat. The staff is exceptional. Even without speaking Chinese, their warm attention was constant. A huge thank you to Rachel and her colleagues! They were an absolute A-Plus for English speakers and flawlessly handled booking my local bus to the Xuankong Temple and Yungang Grottoes. Truly lifesavers! The location is perfect, being just minutes away and easily walkable to both Datong Old Town and the magnificent City Walls. For convenience, there are plenty of local restaurants and a handy convenience store right nearby. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and refreshingly smoke-free, and the bed was very comfortable. It was great that we could slightly open the window to manage the heat and humidity. (Just a small note: I do prefer a standard showerhead to the rain shower, but that's minor!)

The property offers private parking, which is very convenient, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the heart of the ancient city—an ideal location for exploring Datong. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern style with artistic touches that reflect the owner’s care and refined taste. Each morning, we were treated to a beautifully prepared breakfast, along with complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day. It’s those small, thoughtful details that really elevate the experience. In short, Yunqi Xiangshe is a perfect combination of comfort, style, and heartfelt hospitality. I would gladly recommend it to all my friends and look forward to returning again in the future
