GGuest UserI canât stop raving about this inn. It is a B&B style three stories tall inn located inside the Datong Ancient City. Complimentary shuttle service between the airport or railway station made it really convenient for out of town travelers. The guest room was clean and equipped with modern facilities like automatic toilets, coded entry, projection screens, etc. The inn is located near the north gate of the city amongst other accommodations. Within minutes of walking is access to the top of the city wall where bike rental is available to ride along the wall. The inn is very quiet at night. The inn is family operated and everyone was very hospitable. What sets this inn apart from other accommodations in the area is their dedication to service. The owner knew I was a tourist and new to the area, she offered to pick me up if I got lost wandering the ancient city. The breakfast came with my reservation. When the owner found out I had to depart before breakfast serving hours, she went above and beyond to prepare food and served me 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The food tasted amazing and came with abundant varieties and huge portions. It was definitely not part of the service to drop off at another venue, but the owner took me to my next accommodation 2km away. I truly appreciate everything this inn and its staff has done for me. I am so glad to have chosen to stay this beautiful little inn on my first night in Datong. I will definitely stay here again without a doubt on my next visit.

GGiuliaThis place is absolutely wonderful.
Centrally located, the building is magnificent and our room was a dream (we were also upgraded and our room was on two levels with a nice balcony and a really spacious living area).
Staff was really helpful and kind - they also hired a driver for us since we wanted to visit Hanging Monastery directly from the high speed station, before even checking in at the hotel: they took care perfectly of our necessity and the organisation was flawless.
I really recommend this place to anybody! you will not regret it!!!

GGuest UserWhat an amazingly unexpected service we received from Carter and the hotel management at Longxuanju! We were picked up at the train station with a big welcoming smile by Carter and Ms Zhang, hotel manager. Afterwards, Carter drove us to have lunch and tour the ancient town. When we got back to the inn at night, we were served tea and some sweets in the courtyard area. The next day Carter gave us a ride to/from Yungang Grottoes. Then we were taken to the train station early in the morning with breakfast thoughtfully packed to go.
Longxuanju is only 15min walk from the ancient town and located steps from one of the gate to city wall which is really nice to stroll at night. The room was stocked with fruits, snacks and water. And you can enjoy watching TV on the large movie screen in the room!
We had an unforgettable experience in Datong thanks to Carter and hotel management!

CCamilleTFirst of all the B&B is beautiful and very clean. The Chinese breakfast was delicious.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with us. Communication was easy before our arrival. They pick us by car at the railway station for free, which was very convenient for us! We asked them to arrange a car and a driver to go to Hanging Temple and to the Yungang Grottoes in the same day. Everything was perfect! It was the weekend of Qingming day and the Hanging Temple was very crowded and we could not book tickets in advance. Thanks to the hotel staff we managed to buy tickets and to visit the hanging temple ! Then they drove us to a typical restaurant of Datong and we had a very good lunch with noodles, and then we go to the grottoes. Thank you again to the hotel staff for this stay !! Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe location is superb, right within the ancient city. For those driving, parking is available at the Nine Dragon Wall parking lot, just a 100-meter walk away. Despite being in a tourist area, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Guandi Temple is also conveniently located nearby. The service was excellent, and breakfast was quite good too. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Although the May Day holiday prices were significantly higher than usual, the convenience made it completely worthwhile. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserExcellent location being close to almost all of the major attractions in the datong ancient city as well as the famous knife cut noodle and shumai restaurants are just short walking distance away. It is also very close to the bus stop for Yungang grottoes.
The inn and room overall is very clean. I really enjoy the view from the room. The host is very lovely and can help with your travel advise and booking for transport hire to go to the hanging temple .
The only negative that I can pick on is the shower situation which was not designed very well. The water outward flow from the shower is not fast enough so you end up standing on a puddle of water. And the shower curtains not positioned well so there is always going to be water splashed outside of the shower zone. I only stayed for one night and I think Itâs minor compared to what this accomodation offers. I wish I could stay for more nights as it is very nice

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is perfect. It is the right place to stay when visiting the Hanging Temple and Jin Temple. The room and bed are large, especially suitable for bringing children. It is no problem for a family of three to stay in a big bed. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The breakfast is also very good. Overall, it is very cost-effective.

The property offers private parking, which is very convenient, and itâs just a few minutesâ walk to the heart of the ancient cityâan ideal location for exploring Datong. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern style with artistic touches that reflect the ownerâs care and refined taste.
Each morning, we were treated to a beautifully prepared breakfast, along with complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day. Itâs those small, thoughtful details that really elevate the experience.
In short, Yunqi Xiangshe is a perfect combination of comfort, style, and heartfelt hospitality. I would gladly recommend it to all my friends and look forward to returning again in the future
