JI Hotel (Datong Dayou Plaza)

The location is excellent, and the hotel facilities are clean and hygienic. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. There's a wide variety of breakfast options, including many freshly cooked noodles. Plus, food deliveries are brought right to your room by robots! However, the internet speed is very slow, and you have to cast your own content since there are no free VIP movies.

This five-star review isn't something the hotel front desk asked for, it's genuinely from the heart! When I was choosing a hotel, I was torn between the Garden Hotel and this one, but the moment I stepped into the room, I knew I made the right choice! 1) We arrived at the hotel at 11 PM on a Friday. We had originally booked the cheapest tatami room, but the front desk staff immediately upgraded us to a superior king room, which had a window! Compared to some other branches of the same chain (Quanji), the room size was quite generous. 2) On the night we checked in, the front desk gave us a big bag of fruit! Compared to other Quanji hotels, they were incredibly generous. Our whole weekend experience in Datong was fantastic; everyone here is so genuine. 3) The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, especially compared to other Quanji hotels. The dishes changed daily, and there was plenty of meat! The restaurant staff were constantly tidying up the food and wiping down the serving pans, so the hygiene was meticulously maintained. 4) The hotel front desk also had beautifully designed and thoughtful guide cards, which were genuinely useful when we visited the ancient city. 5) The location is convenient, quite close to the ancient city, and there are several shopping malls right across the street, which is very handy. Overall, I highly recommend it – choosing this place is the right decision! 6) The cleaning staff were also very thorough and enthusiastic! Seriously, everything here is done so well! Choosing this place is definitely the right call, and I'll choose it again next time I'm in Datong!

Traveling with my child, I chose the Atour Hotel, and the overall experience was a perfect five stars 👍. The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to get around for sightseeing and finding food. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was exceptional – everything was spotless with no odd smells. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring my child slept soundly. The staff were all very kind and gentle, and incredibly patient and friendly with my little one; any requests we had were promptly addressed. The breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes, with a home-style taste that suited our family perfectly. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, helping to ease the fatigue of travel. This hotel is especially great for families, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on our next trip!

The location is convenient, and the room is quite spacious. For breakfast, they had 'Guobaorou' (a type of sweet and sour pork) and large prawns – it was the first time I actually looked forward to breakfast the next day! They had a great variety of fruits and delicious coffee. Plus, you can even get popsicles from the front desk. The only minor issue was a slight odor coming from the bathroom drain.

The hotel's environment and cleanliness are excellent, and it's not far from the ancient city. The service is incredibly warm and thoughtful. At the front desk, there are cucumbers, tomatoes, and tangerines available for guests to enjoy at any time. What truly stands out is the hotel's breakfast; it's the best I've ever had at a Ji Hotel. Not only is there a wide variety of dishes, but they all taste great. There are at least five or six different kinds of fruit alone. And as for Shanxi's famous Knife-Cut Noodles, they're simply fantastic – the chef will make them fresh for you whenever you like. Definitely a big thumbs up! 👍

Stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect! Great location, nice environment, and plenty of fresh fruit. If I wasn't heading to another city, I would've definitely extended my stay. A really good experience overall!

Second day of our Datong Ancient City tour, and we're continuing our stay at the Ji Hotel. The service is excellent; we asked for our room to be cleaned before heading out, and it was spotless when we returned. The breakfast is delicious, and what's impressive is that the meals were different on both days, showing the hotel's attentiveness. The staff are not only good-looking but also have a wonderful service attitude, which truly enhances the experience.

The room is spacious, well-laid-out, and comfortable, featuring a smart toilet. There's a dedicated parking area for hotel guests, which is fantastic! The complimentary fruit at the front desk, including cucumbers, oranges, and cherry tomatoes, is of excellent quality. Very impressive! Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend it!

The hotel is really big and clean. The front desk service was excellent. I especially want to commend the breakfast; there's a great variety, and it tastes fantastic! The only minor drawback is that the rooms are a bit on the smaller side. However, the surrounding area has convenient transportation and plenty of amenities. Highly recommended!
