Where to begin? First off, the bed system is very clever; we were comfortable. However, the room is small, the toilet is small, the bathroom is small, and there's no fridge. But thankfully, they have luggage storage. Our room was quiet and peaceful, with a lovely view of the garden. Lidl was very close by, and both the A and U metro lines were nearby. What more can I say? The price is reasonable…

The price is very convenient, especially considering the central location and if you are traveling solo. The structure is well organized and functional. I appreciated the bathroom concept - even though it’s shared, you have your own individual space, which gives you privacy and comfort. I stayed for 6 nights and always found the bathrooms to be very clean. It was also surprisingly quiet. I was able to sleep well every night. For more sensitive sleepers, they even provide earplugs. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and well structured place to stay in Berlin.

The bedding was clean and the facilities were tidy. However, I wish there were more hair dryers. The soundproofing against noise from the hallway wasn't great, but I didn't notice any noise between rooms. Overall, I was very satisfied, and I especially enjoyed my trip because I met great people in the same room. The location is also very convenient, right in front of the station. If I come to Berlin again, I would definitely want to stay here!

The biggest advantage of this hostel is its location. Alexanderplatz is incredibly convenient for travelers, with many key attractions within walking distance. There's direct public transport to the main train station and the airport. A distinctive feature of this hostel is the large number of young teenagers, giving it a summer camp vibe with groups of young people everywhere. The common area is on the ground floor, featuring a pool table and shuffleboard. They offer a paid breakfast in the morning and have a small, lively bar in the evening. The room itself is standard, with a sink inside. The toilets and showers are acceptable. One of the toilet doors was a bit broken but still usable. Hand soap is provided, but there's no shower gel or shampoo. Breakfast includes sausages, bread, coffee, milk, tea, apples, tomatoes, and cucumbers. You can also pay extra for grilled sausages and fried eggs. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM, and hot water is available.

Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin was extremely easy to find upon my arrival to Berlin Station. Immediately upon entering I could tell that this hostel had a certain kind of relaxed vibe to it. Not bad. If you arrive early and want to lock your bags but don't own a lock, you can rent one for a 10€ deposit. Check-in also requires a 10€ deposit. Both can be paid woth cash or card but when they return it upon departure, they will only give it back as cash. I was assigned a capsule on the first level and first thing I encountered was a guy walking in hit Itty bitty skivvies. Um, ok I guess. Again, relaxed vibe. The capsule was okay only with the door open. Close it ans it's like you're in a coffin. Hot, hot, hot, and very little air circulation. I brought that to the attention of thr front desk staff and later a guy told me that ”the motor is running” so the fan is working. I took video... the motor may be heard but it def was not working. Felt like I was sweating buckets on night 2. Glad I didn't stay an extra night. Bathroom were relatively clean, byr toilet paper was not always installed. Also, ask for a towel if needed b'c it's not automatically offered. Breakfast is 10€ and was mainly vegan. Was not worth the cost imo. Anyhow... most staff were chill. Just don't like the low effort that was put in for checking about the fan in my capsule. There is no point in booking a capsule if you need to keep the door to it open to breathe. Anyhow... of that issue was fixed, I would stay again.

Very good place! But the room temperature was all over the place

Everything was great! The location is convenient — you can quickly get to any metro station by tram. There is an option to borrow dishes and everything you need for a deposit, which is later returned. It’s clean and comfortable. The only downside is that there are no air conditioners in the rooms.

Good for a short stay. Location was in a nice west neighbourhood in Berlin with lovely nature beside it. Quiet place, 10 mn walk to the Sbahn. Basic amenities and would recommend the breakfast!

Good hostel , room are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Location wise it near to public transportation. The receptionist are very welcoming and helpful toward all the guess so i would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back here again.

It was easy to access from tram station, nice staffs. We have to use stairs from 7 to 8 floor, it can be hard. Guest kitchen was honestly messy and not clean, but it is the hostel. There was hair dryer, shower, there were everything that I needed. It was good staying.
