Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

I was very lucky to choose Xinyi Farm House. The proprietress was very enthusiastic. She gave a map of the ancient city and introduced the various attractions in detail. The planned route is very good. The environment is quite good, clean and hygienic. The pit is very comfortable to sleep. I sleep until dawn. The small courtyard is quite close to the scenic spot. It is very convenient to take a tour bus when you go out. The proprietress SPA is good at craftsmanship. I was fortunate to experience it and ran back to the small courtyard for a day. Meridian massage, pickup cans, relieve the fatigue of the day, in short, quite satisfied, good details must be given.

GGuest UserWe stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

His home is outside the north gate of the ancient city, about 1.5km from Pingyao Station. Just follow the navigation. The biggest advantage of the location is that it is convenient to take a bus to Shuanglin Temple and is very close to the bus stop. However, the road was being built at the time and there was no stop sign. The disadvantage is that you have to go around a long way back to see the light show (south gate). His house is a two-story building with a small courtyard. There are rooms upstairs and downstairs. There are also steps leading up to the second floor, which are sealed. The top is probably a rooftop. I arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening. The front door is unremarkable, but when I walked in, I was warmed by the red lanterns all over the courtyard. There is a pool, a rocking chair, and a drinking fountain in the yard, which can park two-wheelers. The corridor on the second floor can dry clothes. The area should be quite dry, and it will be dry in one night. There were not many guests at that time, so the boss directly upgraded my room type from a multi-person room to a large Kang room with bathroom. The roof is very high, the space is large, and it is not cramped at all. Although the facilities are simple, the beds, baths, and air conditioning are all very comfortable. It is recommended that the store post a few hooks in the room to make it more convenient. In addition, they provide breakfast and sell vinegar. I don’t like jealousy, so I didn’t try it. I was satisfied just by smelling the aroma of vinegar. Stayed for two nights and it was extremely comfortable. The environment, facilities and services were impeccable. Thank you to the boss!

TTzurThis lovely hotel gets 6 out of 5 stars!! It is located a 5 min. Walk from the main street, not too far of the gate where you can catch a taxi to the train station. However the hotel organised a pickup from the gate, which they did not charge for. The room is probably the best room we have rented ever, definitely in this price range you won't find a better one. It was super clean, new, huge comfortable bed, everything was working as advertised. The bathroom is super modern with the most advanced toilet. Outside the room is a lovely sitting or smoking area where you can chill. The host is really attentive and friendly, perfect. I can recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed!!

AArt13Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

RRinMMReally love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.

SSaucyIf you want to explore the ancient town of Pingyao, then this hotel is fantastic. It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city. With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time. I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite. All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.

JJoe OFlahertyMy wife and I enjoyed our stay in the Delian Boutique Homestay. The location in Pingyao ancient city is very good, and the rooms are bright and airy. We were particularly impressed with the hotel staff, who connected us with an excellent English-speaking guide, helped arrange our visits to scenic spots and transfer to the train station, and were generally very helpful throughout our stay.

GGuest UserI went there on the second day of the ***** New Year. Hotels and B&Bs in the scenic area were too expensive. I booked the boss’ B&B online. It was pretty good, but the location was a bit out of the way. I booked a double bed room with my brother, and the boss gave me an extra bed. Quilt
