Pingyao Drama Hall Guest House

The Pingyao Grand Theatre Inn is a guesthouse-style hotel located inside the ancient city, just past the Nine Dragon Wall within the Upper East Gate, so it's very easy to find. The hotel offers breakfast and shuttle service to/from the station.

The guesthouse is perfectly located within Pingyao Ancient City. The courtyard is charming and has a wonderful historical feel. The staff provides excellent service, and the breakfast offers a great variety of authentic local dishes. They even offer free luggage delivery, which made our stay and sightseeing incredibly hassle-free.

Located right next to the Confucius Temple, it's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. The rooms have a traditional decor and are very warm. The hotel grounds are really spacious. We arrived late at night, but it was so easy because we'd messaged the hotel on WeChat beforehand to arrange a complimentary business shuttle pick-up from the high-speed rail station. Their service is excellent and proactive. Since it was the off-season, they even upgraded us to a larger room for free, which was fantastic value for money. With traditional kang beds, old-fashioned door locks, and a classic courtyard, it's perfect for guests who want to experience traditional culture.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to two main attractions and very close to the out-of-town parking. The owner even added me on WeChat to send the parking location and specially arranged a car to pick us up. At the end, they also arranged a car to take us back to the parking lot and thoughtfully gave us tips on how to explore the city. The service was impeccable!
