"Still a pleasant stay! We are not sure whether Rendezvous values its repeat guests, as the reception staff never recognised or greeted us on any of our return visits. We tried not to let it bother us, but it is still difficult to get used to, especially as we work in the hotel industry and understand the importance of recognising returning guests. This was somewhat disappointing, particularly considering that Rendezvous is a long-established and well-known brand. We were assigned a room with a different layout this time, on the opposite side of the lift. Breakfast was still decent as usual. See you again on our next visit."

"Right in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, and the sightseeing tram is free. They also offer luggage storage and self-service laundry. Just a heads-up, bring your own towel as renting one costs 8 AUD."

"Great location within walking distance from Southern Cross Station and perfect for a stroll along the Yarra River. The room was clean and the amenities were quite comprehensive. The only thing I would suggest is providing slippers, as the floor can be quite cold."

"My stay at Brady Hotel Central Melbourne was absolutely fantastic! The biggest highlight has to be its superb location – incredibly close to the subway entrance, making it super easy to get around. For foodies like me, it was even better: the hotel is surrounded by all sorts of restaurants and eateries. There's so much variety, and you don't even have to go far to find great food. The room itself was very comfortable, and the overall facilities and service were top-notch. It's rare to find a hotel in Melbourne with such convenient transport links and amazing food options nearby. It offers excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it!"

"Getting here by light rail is very convenient, but the metro station is a bit of a walk, about 15 minutes away. Parking downstairs is also difficult, which can be inconvenient if you've booked a pick-up/drop-off service. The room is fully equipped with an open-plan kitchen and a washing machine, plus a small balcony with a view. My only complaint is that the toiletries were a bit lacking. They only provided a few bars of soap and shampoo. I was really expecting body wash... Since it's an apartment-style accommodation, there's no room service. You also have to take out your own trash bags to the building's rubbish chute. I felt the everyday essentials were a little too basic. The front desk staff's tone was a bit cold, almost indifferent. Perhaps that's just a Melbourne characteristic, but I still find it a bit off-putting."

"1. We booked a spacious quad room at a great price thanks to a flight and hotel bundle discount, plus a special offer for staying three consecutive nights. 2. The room had elegant photos by the door and was very spacious. Most of the other 9 hotels we stayed at only had fixed showerheads, but this one had both fixed and handheld options, which was a huge bonus! 3. We could opt out of daily housekeeping and receive a $10 AUD food and beverage credit per day, for a maximum of two consecutive nights, totaling $20. We could use this by scanning a QR code or ordering at the bar. While everything was pricey, it was nice to get a few drinks. 4. Located within the free tram zone, it was super convenient to get to any attraction from here!"

"Great Southern Hotel Melbourne provided solid value for my short solo stay in the city during a busy trip. Right opposite Southern Cross Station, it's incredibly convenient for SkyBus from the airport, trams to Phillip Island penguins, and exploring Crown ****** or the CBD—perfect for backpackers on a student budget. Rooms were clean and comfortable with comfy beds, good bathrooms, and free WiFi; staff were super friendly, offering quick check-in and local tips. Breakfast (extra charge) was decent and reasonably priced. Minor issues like occasional AC glitches or no elevator in some areas, but overall great location and service outweigh them. Would stay again—8.5/10!"

"The location is superb, right opposite the Central Station. It's super convenient for day trips as the meeting point is just downstairs. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but its central location in the city makes up for it. Plus, you can use the tram for free! Overall, I'm quite satisfied!"

"We stayed here for 6 nights during our honeymoon, and it was truly a memorable stay. One thing we really appreciated was that we arrived at the hotel quite early, at around 1:00 PM, and the front desk kindly allowed us to check in early. After a long flight, being able to settle into our room and have a rest before exploring the city meant so much to us. We were genuinely grateful for this thoughtful gesture. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Chinatown is directly across the road, and there are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, and tram stops nearby. Most of Melbourne’s attractions are within walking distance or just a short tram ride away, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. Our room on the 15th floor was spacious, modern, clean, and very comfortable. We especially loved having a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and cooking utensils. Staying for six nights, it was wonderful to cook a few meals ourselves instead of eating out every day. It made us feel less like tourists and more like locals. Every evening after a full day of sightseeing, returning to our room on the 15th floor felt like coming home. It became a place where we could truly relax and unwind. By the last day, packing our luggage was unexpectedly emotional because we had grown so attached to the hotel and simply didn’t want to leave. There was a small issue with the parking during our stay, and although it wasn’t handled perfectly at first, it was eventually resolved and did not affect our holiday. We also found that the service experience varied between staff members. A few employees appeared less friendly, while others were genuinely warm, professional, and always greeted us with a smile. Their kindness made us feel very welcome. Overall, the excellent location, spacious room, home-like atmosphere, and the convenience of having a kitchen made this one of the most enjoyable hotel stays we’ve had. The few minor issues were far outweighed by the positive experience. Thank you to the team for making our honeymoon even more special. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Melbourne, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. ❤️"

(where all the restaurants are here), QV mall (BigW, Woolworth), Melbourne central (Coles), Emporium (Rebel), state library - Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They responded well to my requests. - Bathroom size is very good. - Bedroom size is a bit small, but enough for 1 person to stay (queen size room) - The room is a bit dark, but the window helps when I need to work on my laptop. - I stayed here for 6 nights and I already booked this hotel for my next trip to Melbourne."
