"I was worried because there were no reviews, but it was a very beautiful hotel! I took the 6703 limousine bus from Incheon Airport, but I wanted to get off closer to the hotel, so I got off about three stops past Sinnonhyeon Station. However, the downhill slope was on another level. If you're taking the limousine bus, I recommend getting off at Sinnonhyeon Station. It's about a 10-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station. There's a large convenience store and lots of restaurants near the hotel. The bathrooms were very clean, and the staff spoke Japanese, which made communication easy."

"We booked our hotel late, and most places near Myeongdong were either fully booked or overpriced. Since we were traveling with two families and kids, and had a private car, we decided to look at hotels in Gangnam (location wasn't a huge issue with the car). Our top priority was a large bed, big enough for our family of three (with a 6-year-old) to sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. Compared to hotels in Myeongdong at a similar price point, AC Hotel offered larger beds and a more comfortable stay. Being a Marriott brand also gave us confidence in the service quality. We also noticed many Western guests, which further confirmed the hotel's good reputation. The hotel is super convenient with a convenience store and a bakery right downstairs. There's also an Olive Young just behind the hotel (open until 9:30 PM), making it easy to grab breakfast, snacks, skincare, and makeup. Since it's not in a major tourist hub, the area around the hotel is very quiet. Plus, there's a famous *ganjang gejang* (soy-marinated crab) restaurant (Odarijip) about 900 meters across the street. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"Had a fantastic stay! The hotel is super close to the subway station, just a straight walk down the road. There's a convenience store and plenty of food options right downstairs. A quick shoutout to the first auntie on the right when you exit the hotel – she's really nice and lovely! Also, there's a great rice bowl restaurant near the subway station that I highly recommend. The hotel room was nice and quiet, and the front desk staff were very gentle and spoke excellent English, providing really thoughtful service. If you need housekeeping, just let the front desk know beforehand. Toiletries are free and self-service. Honestly, after a long day of sightseeing, collapsing into such a comfortable hotel room truly makes for a perfect trip! It was a wonderful accommodation experience."

"I stayed here from June 19th to 21st, 2026. It's right near Exit 8 of Sinlim Station on Line 2. When I was standing in front of the check-in machine trying to figure out how to store my luggage, someone spoke to me through the speaker. They guided me through the check-in process using a translation app on the machine's screen. When I returned later for actual check-in, a staff member at the counter assisted me. They were very kind, explaining things in English and a little Japanese. The water was complimentary. The room was more spacious than I expected, plenty for one person. However, I couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV and was too lazy to ask, so I gave up. There were some scratches and dirt on the walls and flooring, but it didn't bother me. I also wasn't disturbed by any noise and slept very well. I had booked a room with two PCs, but mine didn't have any. I figured it was because I was traveling alone. Overall, it was a good stay. I'd like to stay at this hotel again."

The location is convenient, close to bus stops, the train station, and the airport bus. If you plan to attend a concert at KSPO, this is a good choice. There is tea, water, and coffee available at the reception area, and the staff are friendly. They also offer early check-in and late check-out, so you can contact them if needed. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my stay. The only downside is that the lighting in the room is a bit dim, which may make it difficult for girls to do makeup."

"My stay perfectly matched my expectations for The Shilla Seoul; if you're looking for an old-money vibe, this is a great fit. Hardware-wise, for a hotel with some history, it felt newer than I anticipated, and the crystal chandelier in the lobby is absolutely stunning. The room size was just right, with a wet and dry bathroom featuring a separate shower and bathtub. The windows and the view from the room are a major highlight. Even though my room this time didn't face Namsan Tower, it was still excellent. You'll need to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush, but cotton swabs and shower caps are provided. The mini-fridge, snacks, and minibar are all chargeable. In terms of service, from getting out of the car to reaching my room, it met the high standards of a five-star hotel. The front desk staff spoke excellent English, and one even spoke Chinese to me during checkout (though I don't expect all of them to). This time, I also made sure to try the Room Service. The menu is in the desk drawer, and you can order using the in-room phone. The fried chicken and fries were very good; the portion was easily enough for two people or more. Regarding amenities, the bakery on the first floor of the hotel was bustling, mostly with local Koreans. I thought the taste was good, and the salt bread was particularly nice. The hotel lobby was almost always full, and there were constant business meetings and events happening on the left side, so you see a continuous stream of locals. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus, but you need to check the schedule carefully. Since I didn't use it, I can't offer advice. On either side of the hotel are Aesop and Moynat stores, and Shilla Duty Free is just a five-minute walk away. If your itinerary is well-planned and not rushed, staying at The Shilla is a great choice. It's not far to get to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seochon, Bukchon, Myeongdong, Seongsu-dong, and Hannam-dong by taxi from here. However, if you're trying to pack a lot into your schedule and rely mainly on the subway, it might not be as suitable. Seoul traffic can be quite bad. Personally, I would consider staying at The Shilla again. The service experience was very satisfying."

"A wonderful hotel with an excellent location. It was quiet in the room, which made the stay especially comfortable. Every day, water was replenished, coffee and tea were restocked, the room was cleaned, the bed was made, and towels were replaced. The self check in process was easy and caused no difficulties at all. At check out, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception until the evening, which was extremely convenient. We were planning to spend the next night in Incheon, but before that, we wanted to visit Lotte World Adventure. Thanks to this, we managed to do everything we had planned. Special thanks to the man who helped translate our situation and assisted us in reaching an agreement. His help was truly appreciated."

"This place is pretty good! 👍 I've been to Seoul many times, but this is my first time staying in a residential area. It's not close to any of the major attractions (which is fine by me, as I don't visit them anyway). It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Line 2 (the circular line), which I found quite pleasant for a morning or evening stroll. I didn't try the breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey. There's a CU convenience store downstairs where you can grab breakfast. If you're ordering delivery, make sure to use the Google Maps address, otherwise it might be incorrect. There's also a free sauna available for guests."

"The location is very convenient, about a 5–10 minute walk from Ewha Womans University Station or Sinchon Station. There’s also a convenience store right next to the motel, plus a 24-hour chicken restaurant and a laundry shop nearby, which was very helpful during our Korea trip. We actually booked this place in a rush because we had an issue with our first accommodation. When we arrived, we found the room quite small — there was barely enough space for our luggage, and it was difficult to fully open even our smallest suitcases on the floor. It is more like a short-stay motel. We asked if we could shorten our stay, but unfortunately, a refund wasn’t possible. Thankfully, they were kind enough to transfer us to a different room. It was still small, but we appreciated the effort to accommodate us. The receptionists were okay and could speak English, which made communication easier. The heated floors were also a nice touch, especially during colder days. Overall, our stay was okay — not exceptional, but manageable for a short visit."
