Van der Valk Hotel Blijdorp is een comfortabel hotel met ruime, schone kamers en een goede ligging. Vriendelijk personeel en een goed ontbijt maken het verblijf prettig.

The stay experience was excellent. The lobby was grand, the room hygiene was very good, and breakfast was abundant and delicious. There's also a gym, which is great for daily workouts, and the location is convenient.

The room size was just right for one person, and the location is super convenient. There's a tram stop (lines 3 and 5) and a metro station right downstairs, and it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the central station. A minor drawback is that the bathroom doesn't have a separate shower, so it gets quite wet after every shower. Also, the kettle wasn't very clean! But overall, it was still a great stay!

This hotel is in a very convenient location if you need to be at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Staff at reception was very friendly and welcoming and the room is spacious and at first sight looks comfortable (it looks better in reality than on the photos I took). Unfortunately, the beds are extremely soft though. That is of course a matter of personal preference and some guests may like the soft mattresses, but I couldn't sleep on them. Fortunately, there was a sofa in the room that was large enough to sleep on and much more comfortable than the beds;-) I might stay here again because of the location, but in terms of beds this would probably not be my first choice.

Conveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service. The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression. One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience. Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the central station, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is a bit old, but some facilities have been renovated, so it's generally acceptable. The breakfast offers a good variety, and you can even order à la carte, plus the service is decent. However, a major pitfall is the Wi-Fi – if you're not careful when connecting, you can easily select a paid option. My husband experienced this, and we immediately went to the front desk to explain and request a cancellation. They initially said there was no charge, but this morning at checkout, the bill still included it. Furthermore, we called for two pairs of slippers and had to call multiple times over two hours before they were finally delivered. It was quite frustrating.

What a pleasant stay. The staff were excellent from check-in through to check-out, and the room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area, close to the Markthal and Cube Houses, with plenty to see and explore within walking distance. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again when visiting the area.

This hotel is a great choice for business trips to Rotterdam. It's centrally located with lots of shops nearby. Both the bathroom and the room itself were quite comfortable. Being so close to the train station means you won't be rushing to catch a train to Amsterdam for your flight!

Very good hotel, clean and perfectly located. The staff is very welcoming. A big thank you to Anaïs and Ronisia, two truly lovely and attentive people who helped and supported us a lot throughout our stay, especially when we came for a match. Their kindness and availability truly made a difference. Very good experience, I recommend!
