Hotels with Bars in Rotterdam

Nice stay! Location is good when you go to a happy village, maybe for the rest a little further. Room beautifully decorated for my mother's birthday. All clean, top for each other!

I loved everything this hotel is trying to do which is why I booked it - and I wasn’t disappointed! The hotel is comfy, well appointed and the level of thought in the sustainable construction and running of the hotel is next level. The room was well designed and laid out particularly the gold back bathroom door. For breakfast there is the extensive menu which at €18 is not cheap (and in my mind should include a barista coffee), or the more price conscious barista coffee and a pastry for €5.50. My only disappointment was that some of the staff were quite offhand, scowling and sighing if you asked a question, and talking negatively about other guests in front of me (a guest). My stay at Novotel Rotterdam was generally good. The room was spacious, comfortable, and suitable for families. The sofa can also be converted into a bed, which is practical when travelling with children. However, there was some dust in the room, and it seemed that the air-conditioning system needed cleaning. Since the windows cannot be opened and no fresh air enters from outside, the air quality in the room was not as good as expected. The hotel staff were polite, helpful, and friendly. Their service was one of the main positive aspects of the stay. The hotel is located relatively far from the city centre. The nearest metro or tram station is about a 10-minute walk away, and it may take slightly longer when travelling with children. My view photos

Overall, a pretty good experience! I arrived in Rotterdam around 11 AM and tried to check in, but was told the room wasn't ready yet. So I just dropped off my luggage and went out to explore. When I returned to the hotel around 6 PM to check in, the front desk informed me that all the standard rooms were taken. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a river-view room, directly facing the Erasmus Bridge! The room was also larger than the standard rooms I'd stayed in at other hotels in the same chain (perhaps due to my Hilton Honors membership, or maybe because a tour group had booked all the standard rooms). The hotel is conveniently located with a metro station right outside that goes directly to The Hague, and a tram that takes you to Rotterdam Central Station. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is next to a main road, so there can be some noise from motorcycles. If that bothers you, I'd recommend requesting a room facing the river.

The bed was excellent; it wasn't too soft, which is a common issue in most hotels where beds are often overly soft and lack support, leading to an uncomfortable sleep. This one, however, was just right. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but public buses are conveniently accessible right outside. In the evenings, you need a key card to enter the building downstairs, which adds a good layer of security. There are also many bars nearby. Overall, it's a very good place.

Hotel’s location is superb, within walking distance of the river bank and popular shopping avenues. The room is small because it is Europe, but designed in the way that everything fits well and you don’t feel crowded or inconvenient. Smart technology allows you to control everything from an iPad. So it is compact but efficient for solo travelers in particular. BT the way, nice staff and good/clean reception area dubbed as a living room for socializing.

Great location in the city center, very close to the train station. There's a subway station right outside, making it super convenient for getting around. Plus, there are lots of Chinese restaurants nearby. The service was excellent – very friendly and polite. While it was called an 'executive room,' it was essentially a standard king room, but perfectly adequate and clean.

Very good hotel, spacious and comfortable room. I found some dust in the coffee machine and in a few other spots, but otherwise it was quite clean and comfortable, with good beds and enough storage. A shame there were no sheer curtains on the windows, as there was a lot of direct view into the room! The breakfast was good quality but a bit simple, though still very tasty. The staff were super nice, and the hotel smells pleasant when you walk in, which is lovely. Overall, a very good hotel. I would come back if I'm ever in Rotterdam again. Thanks!

Stayed in private room rather than the dorms. Found room to be clean and staff were very friendly. Walkable to central station (~10 mins). Just noting that there is no AC so it did get very warm for hot summer days (29°C in the room). Not knocking points for AC since they didn’t advertise to have it.

The hotel was really nice. Everything was clean and tidy, and the stay was pleasant. We felt good and would happily come back.
