"It is more like a smart hostel so not there were not many people helping, but our CityHost Jed was very helpful and helped us with our check-in. "This is a beautiful, new, and modern hotel, set in a lovely, traditional building, just a 15-minute walk from the city center. The room was spacious and featured a very comfortable large bed. The bedding was high-quality and exceptionally pleasant. The room came equipped with a coffee machine (with capsules), a kettle, and a selection of teas. A thoughtful touch was the inclusion of an iron and ironing board! In the bathroom, there's a spacious, modern shower, and all the complimentary toiletries – shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, and body lotion – are of excellent quality. Our room had two large windows offering a pleasant street view. Next to the reception, there's a communal lounge where guests can help themselves to various machine coffees, teas, water, and fruit, all complimentary. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. "The bed was excellent; it wasn't too soft, which is a common issue in most hotels where beds are often overly soft and lack support, leading to an uncomfortable sleep. This one, however, was just right. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but public buses are conveniently accessible right outside. In the evenings, you need a key card to enter the building downstairs, which adds a good layer of security. There are also many bars nearby. Overall, it's a very good place."

However be careful the road is quite noisy so prefer a room with ocean view. And it was quite cold during our stay the night and there was no option to turn on the heat.
Those two points were a bit disappointing due to the price of the hotel but else it was good

RRay72Nice hotel, good location. We rented a suite for a combined business and pleasure trip. Hotel is rights above a supermarket. Be careful!! Supermarket delivery trucks keep you from sleeping at night. Also Internet connection not working. Strongly recommend to not stay here. At least not when you are expecting a good night sleep.....Only poor excuse was offered. Friendly staff, just noisy rooms. Stay away!

GGuest UserI loved everything this hotel is trying to do which is why I booked it - and I wasn’t disappointed! The hotel is comfy, well appointed and the level of thought in the sustainable construction and running of the hotel is next level.
The room was well designed and laid out particularly the gold back bathroom door.
For breakfast there is the extensive menu which at €18 is not cheap (and in my mind should include a barista coffee), or the more price conscious barista coffee and a pastry for €5.50.
My only disappointment was that some of the staff were quite offhand, scowling and sighing if you asked a question, and talking negatively about other guests in front of me (a guest). Training will resolve this …

Staff are very friendly, there is no lift, but the kind staff helped me carried my huge suitcase all the way up to the 3rd floor. It’s be even better to have a kettle or hairdryer in the room. Had a comfortable stay, would definitely stay here again if I come back to visit Rotterdam! Thanks for the lovely stay!

The staff was helpful and kind. The position is excellent near Blaak station, we reached almost every place we wanted to see by foot.

The hotel itself is a bit old, but some facilities have been renovated, so it's generally acceptable. The breakfast offers a good variety, and you can even order à la carte, plus the service is decent. However, a major pitfall is the Wi-Fi – if you're not careful when connecting, you can easily select a paid option. My husband experienced this, and we immediately went to the front desk to explain and request a cancellation. They initially said there was no charge, but this morning at checkout, the bill still included it. Furthermore, we called for two pairs of slippers and had to call multiple times over two hours before they were finally delivered. It was quite frustrating.

I liked the working space as well and made use of luggage storage without no issues. Frequent fire alarms was the only issue that I would complain of(had 2 in 4 days). Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here if I were to visit Rotterdam again

The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful environment. It's within walking distance to Chinatown, where you can find various dining and shopping options.
We appreciated the spaciousness of our room, which provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The decor is stylish, with a marine theme and dark tones that add a cozy ambiance.
However, some guests have noted that rooms can feel smaller than expected, and the dark interior may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as footsteps from upstairs can be heard.

GGuest UserRoom (twin room) was clean, room was ready very early and we even received bananas and water for the marathon which was really nice + the bed was comfortable. Location is also good, near the central station and city centre. We sadly had a really bad sleep here because people (not sure if they were guests or staff) kept slamming doors very loudly on our floor through the night, as late as 4 pm. It kept waking us up, even while wearing earplugs. The hallway isn’t soundproof enough.
