Since it was my birthday, I decided to do a 3-day, 2-night staycation. On the day I checked in, room service surprised me with a cake 🍰. I didn't take a picture then and thought that was it. To my surprise, on my actual birthday, they sent another one! 😍 I ended up eating two cakes in total, and they were both delicious! The service was very friendly, the staff were lovely, and the room was clean. The pool is on the 8th floor, and so is breakfast, so you can see the pool area when you go for breakfast.

Perfect location for shopping at malls or wet market, massage, cafes etc. Small hotel with great price point. Has everything a nice stay needs. Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Buffet breakfast sufficient variety with interesting health juices. Twin room is spacious and clean. Shower has sink top with lots space. Love the wall design and smiley face on door that perks up the holiday mood.

Good stay overall. Ando Hotel is very convenient, only about a 5-minute walk to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with luggage. The room was comfortable, but there was no hairdryer or fridge, which may be inconvenient for some guests. Cleanliness can also be improved, as there was dust on the toilet door. Overall, good location and service, but basic amenities and housekeeping could be better.

I’m writing this positive review to share my fantastic hotel experience. First of all, the location is perfect for travel and daily trips. The lobby looks neat and comfortable. The service team is warm and helpful, they handled my check-in quickly without waiting. The guest room is spacious and thoroughly cleaned, no dirty corners or strange smells. The mattress and pillows are soft, and the room is quiet enough to get a good rest. Bathroom supplies are complete, water pressure is stable. Overall this hotel offers great service at a reasonable price. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip and recommend it to all travellers.

Impeccably clean. Outstanding service from Ixxora on front desk. All staff keen to please and professional. They actually seem genuinely happy to be there and to welcome you. As of June 2026, MAXONE Batam offers simply the cleanest and most well maintained rooms in the whole of Kepulauan Riau. No question. The only hotel able to compete with the obsessive cleanliness is their next door neighbour 4 star property adjacent! There are new 5 star hotels on the island where the level of maintenance does not meet the standards set by MAXONE Batam. Highly recommended for leisure travellers who DON'T require pool, gym or breakfast included in the price. What you will get is a sense of luxury and commitment to quality and service excellence. Not recommended for longer stays and business travellers due to poor WiFi stability and shortage of work space / work surfaces in the rooms, that are small and a tight squeeze by Indonesia standards.

The hotel is very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is small and dirty when we were there. Kids walking around at the breakfast area and jumping in and out from the pool to breakfast area. No proper towels provided for the pool. My room is clean but face a block of construction wall which looks really eerie at night. I think they are in the midst of extension their hotel. Blackout twice but power came back fast. Despite the small imperfect, it is still a very comfortable hotel which I will go back to in Batam.

Its my 2nd time staying here in the same room type. Room is clean and tidy. We received a room with a smart TV previously but the room we received currently, is not a smart TV. We checked with the receptionist and they told us that all rooms are not equipped with a smart TV. -1 point for no smart TV. Breakfast has a wide variety but it was not as delicious compared to my previous stay - maybe it was because we stayed on the weekdays this time round.

Great experience in this hotel, although slide uncomfortable experience with the arrangement of the rooms, as I requested 4 non-smoking room but got smoking rooms instead. However, front desk was able to squeeze in 1 nonsmoking room for us, which was still bearable. One of our family members had her birthday on the 2nd day of the stay, so the staff was able to light decorate the room, and have a special arrangement for breakfast. Great experience for us!

Spacious,clean,easy access to many food varieties,convenient stores. Love the balcony where i can just relax either enjoying my coffee or just smoking while enjoying the seaviews. Will definitely be back again. Price was very reasonable. Parking lots are very limited and that’s the only ‘bad’ thing i found.
