I was very satisfied with this homestay. They thoughtfully provided disposable towels and bath bags, and all the cups were individually packaged after being disinfected, which made me feel very secure! The strong Chinese style was amazing as soon as I opened the door – exactly my kind of aesthetic. Plus, there were toys my child loved! The location is also very convenient, with all the attractions within walking distance. There's also a cute little dog named Maikai. The breakfast was simple but nutritious, and again, just my style! I truly recommend it to everyone!

The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the toiletries and storage facilities were all complete. The staff, Mango, Orange, and Apple, were warm, friendly, and efficient in processing my check-in. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

This was a two-part stay (two separate bookings of five days each), and while there are genuinely strong positives, the overall experience was significantly affected by ongoing service and cleanliness issues. There are still clear strengths to highlight. The location is excellent—quiet, safe, and surrounded by good restaurants, convenience stores, and a pleasant park nearby. The rooms are also very well designed: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with useful amenities such as a washing machine. The layout and overall setup make it a very livable space. The staff were, for the most part, kind and helpful. One staff member in particular was consistently warm and welcoming. When issues were raised, the team did attempt to respond professionally, and I do appreciate that some solutions were offered, including a discounted rate for a future stay. However, there were repeated concerns that affected my experience, particularly during the second half of my stay. Cleanliness remained a consistent issue. Even after rooms were serviced, dust accumulated very quickly—so much so that items like my laptop would be visibly covered overnight. This raises concerns about the overall level of cleanliness and ventilation. In addition, housekeeping services felt inconsistent. On multiple occasions I had to specifically request basic essentials such as bottled water and fresh towels, rather than these being proactively restocked daily as would normally be expected in this type of accommodation. Service consistency also varied. Some days staff would check in or ask whether I needed room cleaning, while on other days there was no such follow-up at all. This lack of routine made the experience feel unpredictable for a stay of this length. There were also concerns regarding pricing and communication during an attempted extension of my stay. I had initially paid approximately 268 rand per night (already at a discounted rate). When I asked to extend for one additional night during the May Day holiday period, I was quoted around 800 rand. While I understand that rates fluctuate during peak demand, this felt inconsistent given the earlier discount offered due to the significant issues experienced in the first rooms. The handling of this request also felt quite rigid initially, although the pricing discussion changed once I indicated I would be leaving a review. By that point, however, I had already made alternative arrangements in another city. I also noticed a change in overall tone and attentiveness from staff following my initial complaints, particularly on the day I was trying to extend my stay. In that instance, even basic housekeeping services were not offered, which contributed to a feeling of inconsistency in service. Ultimately, I think this hotel has strong potential. The location, room design, and general setup are genuinely excellent, and there are staff members who are clearly committed and welcoming. However, the inconsistency in cleanliness standards, basic housekeeping expectations, and service delivery means I cannot recommend it as a reliably high-quality stay at this stage. With more consistent attention to cleanliness and service fundamentals, this could be an excellent hotel experience—but in its current state, it falls short of that standard.

This time, I stayed at Club Med Dayu Nanjiang Xianlin with my kid, originally hoping for an easy and hassle-free trip, but it turned out to be full of pleasant surprises. The room's amenities were indeed solid and well-maintained. It's tough in the hotel industry these days, but they clearly put a lot of effort into making it family-friendly. The manager, Frankie, would always bend down and chat with my child whenever he saw us, and our housekeepers, Diana and Tracy, were even more attentive. They pre-booked the Mini Club for us and even subtly remembered my child's picky eating habits. My kid absolutely loved the crafts and didn't want to leave, giving my partner and me a rare chance to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. The evening show had a fantastic atmosphere, and you could tell the entire team put their heart into it. I genuinely think they deserve a lot of praise, and we'll definitely be back again.

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me. I mentioned I had food that needed microwaving, and they happily obliged. Later, I asked if I could store some leftover takeout in the fridge, and they assisted me with that too. The common areas and restrooms were constantly being cleaned by an attendant, so everything was super clean and tidy. The room itself was also great. I booked a quad room and met two lovely ladies who I instantly clicked with; we even went out for dinner and shopping together. The hostel also has a self-service washing machine, which is free to use – excellent!

The location is superb, just a short walk to the subway, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The common areas are huge and beautifully decorated. Chatting with fellow travelers from all over the world creates such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The beds are clean and cozy, and once you pull the curtain, you have your own private little world, complete with charging ports and a small night light – absolutely perfect in terms of detail. The front desk staff and volunteers are all super enthusiastic, patiently recommending authentic local food and travel routes, which saved me a lot of hassle on my trip. The biggest surprise was the rooftop terrace; enjoying the night view with a breeze in the evening was incredibly pleasant, and you can even catch the sunrise in the morning. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit and highly recommend it to all backpackers!

Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

The hotel is super convenient for transportation, it's only about a five or six-minute walk to the subway station, which is incredibly friendly for tourists! I arrived quite early because I was on an early train, and the front desk staff proactively helped me with my luggage. Their service attitude was excellent, and they even arranged for me to check in early! The price is economical and affordable, and the environment is very clean. It's incredibly good value for money!
