"I booked this hotel last minute during a business trip and found it to be excellent value for money. The room had a minimalist yet high-end feel, and there was plenty of space – even with my luggage spread out, it didn't feel cramped. The room's amenities were well-maintained; all the appliances worked smoothly, and the charging outlets were conveniently placed, making it easy to work or watch shows. The cleanliness was top-notch; tabletops, floors, and even the corners of the bathroom were spotless with no unpleasant odors. The bedding was just right in terms of softness, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the water temperature and pressure were stable, providing a great shower experience. The room's soundproofing was also effective, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel staff were not over-the-top but efficient; check-in and check-out were quick, with no long waits. After I checked out, Hakimi, a customer service specialist, followed up with a friendly call. He genuinely inquired about my experience with the room and facilities, showing a willingness to listen to guest feedback rather than just going through the motions. Considering both the facilities and service, this hotel is definitely among the top choices around the airport. It's ideal for layovers or short business stays. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and will prioritize staying here again the next time I visit Nanjing."

"The hotel is located within the Confucius Temple scenic area. Please note that there are traffic restrictions from 2 PM to 10 PM, making it difficult for taxis to enter and exit. Downstairs, there's a Freshippo (Hema Xiansheng), KFC, Miniso, and a couple of restaurants, which is quite convenient. The rooms facing the road can be a bit noisy, but it usually quiets down after 11 PM. During my stay, one of the elevators was out of service, leading to some crowding when going up and down. The room itself is very spacious with a well-designed wet and dry separation, and the staff are dedicated and responsible."

UrCove by Hyatt Nanjing Zhongshan Mountain National Park.Located in Zhongshan Scenic Area, Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, it was renovated from the former site of the National Revolutionary Army School, a historical and cultural relic protection building. The hotel is located adjacent to key universities such as Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Nanjing Agricultural University. It only takes 10 minutes by subway to reach the shopping district of Xinjiekou in Nanjing, allowing you to experience the Republican style while quickly immersing yourself in the modern urban business atmosphere. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from Nanjing Museum and a 20 minute drive from well-known attractions such as Nanjing Confucius Temple and Laomen East. It is also only a 20 minute drive from Nanjing South Station and Nanjing Railway Station. From the hotel, you can walk to attractions such as the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Meiling Palace, and Zhongshan Mausoleum. Enjoy the convenience brought by the unique geographical location for business travelers while strolling, and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere in the bustling and noisy city.

"Overall, the hotel's facilities and decor are excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities lived up to its five-star rating. On the hardware front, my stay was very satisfactory. However, there was a significant drop-off in service details. Multiple times when returning to the hotel at night, I had to call the front desk to open the main entrance, which has happened over ten times. Having to actively call for entry late at night was a very inconvenient experience. Additionally, the laundry service was not up to par; guests had to personally go downstairs to drop off and pick up their clothes, instead of having staff collect and deliver from the room. This lack of convenient service is not what one would expect from a five-star hotel. While the hardware is impeccable, the service procedures and attentiveness clearly have shortcomings. Many tasks that the hotel should handle were shifted to guests. I hope they can optimize their access control management and in-room services to better match the hotel's caliber."

"First off, the common areas are very spacious, and the rooms themselves are quite roomy. The male and female sections are separate, and everything is kept very clean. The other guests are considerate and quiet. In terms of location, it's just a few steps (literally, a few steps!) to the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. The subway is also close to scenic spots like Xinjiekou and Confucius Temple. The price is also quite reasonable, offering great value for money. There are many hostels near Nanjing South, but none are as large, well-located, or well-managed as this one."

The Yilong Anyun Hotel Nanjing South Station is located at No. 88 Yulan Road, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, adjacent to many large enterprises such as Shuntian, Huawei, ZTE, and Tongling in the Software Avenue High tech Industrial Zone. The transportation around the hotel is convenient, with walking distance to South Railway Station, South Station Long Distance Bus Station, Lukou Airport Subway Line, and the departure point of Lukou Airport Bus Nanjing South Station. The Yilong Anyun Hotel Nanjing South Station has various types of rooms and is equipped with a breakfast restaurant. The facilities are complete and the service is thoughtful, making it a convenient choice for you to go out.

"My overall experience staying here was fantastic! The room was spotless, and the mattress had just the right firmness, making for a very relaxing sleep. Check-in at the front desk was super fast, and the staff were very friendly. All the facilities in the room were new, and the location is great for shopping and public transport. My favorite feature was their delivery robot. I didn't have to go downstairs to pick up my takeout; the robot delivered it directly to my room door. It was fun and convenient – truly hassle-free. The only minor downside is that the soundproofing isn't ideal. I was woken up in the morning by the loading and unloading sounds from a nearby logistics company, which might bother light sleepers. Putting aside this small issue with soundproofing, the hotel offers incredible value for money and is definitely worth staying at."

Hotel near Confucius Temple Area,Nanjing
The hotel is located in the heart of the Confucius Temple area in the center of Nanjing, enjoying a prime location within the Qinhuai Scenic Belt. Oriented north to south, it showcases a style of "blue bricks, small tiles, horse-head walls, and corridor railings with flower-lattice windows", presenting an ancient and elegant atmosphere that is both charming and radiant. The hotel has been awarded the titles of "Famous Trademark of Jiangsu Province" and "Famous Trademark of Nanjing City" by the provincial and municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce on multiple occasions. It is a distinctive foreign tourist hotel that imitates the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Currently, it offers nearly 70 types of guest rooms, most of which are built along the river, arranged in a staggered manner, allowing guests to enjoy the serene river views directly. The guest room design follows a courtyard layout, which is both novel and unique. The hotel's catering services consist of four parts: Qinhuai Family, Wanqing Lou, Taste Family, and Han Yixing Halal Restaurant, providing a total of 600 dining seats. The meticulously prepared "Eight Delicacies of Qinhuai" snacks have become a representative of Nanjing's snacks. When the lights are just turned on and the moon rises over the eastern mountains, dining at Qinhuai Family's restaurant will enable you to experience the ancient charm of "the lights and oars on the Qinhuai River". (The hotel's parking lot is located at the intersection of Xiaoshi Dam Street and Pingjiangfu Road, to the west.)

"I was very satisfied with the hotel overall. The room was meticulously cleaned, and the location was convenient, close to attractions. All the scenic spots were nearby, and the staff were friendly and responsive. The environment was quiet, so I had a great rest. Everything was excellent, highly recommended."

I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

Last May Day, we visited the Club Med in Taicang, and the GOs recommended the newly opened Club Med in Nanjing. This summer, I brought my child here for a weekend (three days, two nights) during the school holidays, and the experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating! **Accommodation:** The rooms were clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was meticulous. The cleaning staff were very friendly and patient, always refilling our drinking water. The resort grounds are spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural surroundings. You can overlook the lake from the balcony, offering a wide and open view. **Activities:** There are plenty of facilities for play, both indoors and outdoors. We happened to be here during a heatwave, so we mostly opted for indoor activities. The indoor sports area includes basketball, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and rock climbing, as well as a 'parkour' area (similar to an adventure course) that my child loved, which we visited for two consecutive days. You can also book KTV sessions. When it's hot, you can also sit at the U Bar and play cards, which is very relaxing. Outdoor activities are also abundant. You can cross a bridge to 'Explore Park,' where you can try archery, kayaking, windsurfing, or even the 'flying trapeze.' However, the flying trapeze requires training, and you need to be able to hang from a bar with both hands for at least ten counts. Neither of us had that much grip strength (we could only manage up to five), so we just watched other 'experts' try it. Kayaking was quite nice; the lake water was clear, and there were little ducks swimming around. It's best to go in the late afternoon, around 5-6 pm, to avoid the intense sun for a better experience. My sister and I kayaked together, and circling the large lake wasn't tiring at all. It's suitable for mothers or older children with moderate physical fitness. **Service:** The butler service was online throughout our stay, with quick responses and smooth communication. Whether it was booking activities or requesting supplies, they responded and handled everything promptly. When we wanted a clothes drying rack for our swimwear on the balcony after swimming, it was provided very quickly, which was incredibly thoughtful and professional. Being peak summer holiday season, the restaurant entrance traffic was also managed efficiently; just stating your room number allowed for quick entry, which was very user-friendly. Here, you can shed your fatigue and quietly enjoy your holiday. I'm already planning to come back when the weather isn't so scorching (the 'furnace city' reputation is certainly well-deserved). **Two additional points:** There's an external food delivery pick-up point near the entrance, which is very convenient. I also loved the hotel's lighting fixtures; they were very artistic. Finally, a big thank you to our butler, KIKI Angel, for the excellent service!

Their attention to detail is impressive. 4. **Impeccable Hygiene & Facilities:** Everything was clean and well-maintained. The bedding and toiletries were high quality. Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

I chose the Sawdust Hostel for my trip to Nanjing, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable. The front desk staff were gentle and friendly, handling check-in efficiently. They also thoughtfully explained the accommodation rules, facility usage, and nearby tourist routes. The building has separate floors for men and women, and the key card elevator ensures strong security, making me feel very safe even when traveling alone. The beds are equipped with blackout curtains, the bedding is clean and tidy, and hot water is available 24/7. The bathrooms are regularly cleaned and kept neat and dry. The lounge area on the first floor offers board games, and there are live music performances in the evenings, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The location is excellent, making it convenient to visit major attractions. It offers outstanding value for money and is my top choice for accommodation when traveling.
