"The Jinling Hotel is a classic five-star, so I didn't have overly high expectations for its facilities. My choice was mostly driven by nostalgia, and of course, its unbeatable location. Just for that superb location, I'd definitely choose it again on my next visit. It wasn't until my second night that I discovered Metro Line 1 is directly connected to the hotel – the elevator goes down to the basement level and connects directly to Exit 20 of Xinjiekou Station! In Nanjing, most major attractions are easily accessible by subway, so even a habitual latecomer like me doesn't have to worry about missing high-speed trains – isn't that perfect? I also have to commend their service; it's genuinely impeccable. Upon check-in, they proactively upgraded my room, and based on my Ctrip VIP status, I received a small gift and welcome fruits. My butler, Aurora, was incredibly prompt and attentive. A quick message on WeChat and she'd pretty much fulfill any request. On my second night, I arranged to dine with my friend at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Meiyuan, and everything was handled perfectly. Even my local friend said Meiyuan (which holds both Black Pearl and Michelin accolades) is super hard to book, and she was surprised we got in thanks to me, the 'outsider'! On a side note, Meiyuan's salted duck is absolutely divine! The service there was excellent too; all the staff were friendly, polite, and well-trained. I must say, the service at Jinling Hotel truly lives up to its reputation. Even the doormen are incredibly observant. The only thing I can think of that could be improved is the air in the room. Without the air conditioning on, it was a bit stuffy when I first walked in. I hope the hotel can look into that. Overall, I was very satisfied. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time!"

"I have previously reviewed this hotel and found it to be exceptional value for money. This was the extended part of my booking. So now I can comment on the remai ing facilities such as the Hotel's Gym and Laundry. The Laundry is fully equipped with 3 commercial grade smart washing machines and three commercial grade clothes dryers. They are really quiet and you can barely hear them running. There is also space of finished washing to ensure the washing machines are always available as soon as possible le, there are clear instructions for use in both English and Mandarin. They Dryers also have a table of recommended heat settings and durations for different fabric types. The Laundry also is equipped with an iron station so if you are a business traveller and need your suit looking its best there is the ability to iron your shirts. The Gym is also good. It has a pair of treadmills, and clinical machine a Abdominal crunch machine, two towing machines, a cable resistance machine and a selection of dumbbells from 2kg up to 20kg. Check out was super easy and took only a matter of minutes. The staff were also very polite and helpful. This is a very clean, comfortable hotel and is a great experience Inside the room there is also a mini bar fridge and a safe for your valuables. Will stay here again on my next trip to Nanjing."

"My stay here was fantastic. The hotel is located in the city center, and from the moment you step inside, you can feel its five-star quality. The lobby is grand and sophisticated, with a pleasant, full-bodied aroma that creates a wonderful atmosphere. The room itself was spacious, bright, clean, and roomy. The bedding was comfortable, perfectly soft yet firm, and the pillows were excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom had strong water pressure, and the toiletries were of high quality. Regina added me on WeChat before my arrival, and her responses were enthusiastic throughout, actively checking on my needs, which was incredibly helpful. She was warm, polite, and responsive. "My stay at voco Nanjing Xinjiekou was excellent! The hotel is located in the city center, right next to a subway station, with several food streets nearby. It's super convenient for sightseeing and trying out local delicacies. The room was fully equipped with top-notch amenities, including smart bathroom features, comfortable bedding, a Dyson hairdryer, and even hand-ground coffee – they really paid attention to the details. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. Highly recommend!"

"Turns out The Lalu is a brand from Taiwan! No wonder they prepared pineapple cakes for me in the evening. The pastry kitchen is quite good, the flavor is on the tart side, and it was quite delicious. Getting around isn't the most convenient, relying entirely on taxis. The hotel is indeed a bit old, showing some wear and tear, but overall it's well-maintained. They upgraded me to a river view room, and the view was excellent. The room's privacy and soundproofing were also good. They even prepared an ice bucket during turn-down service; the room service was very attentive. I was also very satisfied with the bedding; I slept soundly and sweetly all night. The two ladies at the front desk were very warm, service-oriented, and thoughtful. Breakfast was okay. The Chinese breakfast options were better, but the Western ones were a bit lacking. Several types of bread were dry and hard, and many tables left their bread untouched. Perhaps they should focus on making the Chinese breakfast more refined and abundant."

Thanks to its integration with the Shuiyou City complex, the dining environment and food variety are solid, with few misses, but it also has some clear shortcomings. Let's start with the pros. First, the variety is comprehensive, with a balanced mix of Chinese and Western options, not just simple buns and porridge. The Chinese section offers local Nanjing specialties like duck blood vermicelli soup, soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), and red bean dumplings (chìdòu yuánxiāo). You don't need to wake up early and search for old establishments outside; you can taste local flavors right at the hotel. The hot dishes area has stir-fries, steamed dim sum, and various grains, with a full range of steamed buns, siomai, and zongzi, suitable for seniors and children. The noodle station offers freshly cooked alkaline noodles with customizable soup bases and toppings. The collaboration with Songhe Tower ensures consistent quality, and a hot bowl of noodles in the morning is very filling. The Western area includes bread, toast, yogurt, fruits, cold cuts, freshly ground American coffee, and drinks like milk and juice – a sufficiently diverse selection. The dining environment is also worth mentioning. The breakfast area is on the fifth floor of the hotel, offering spaciousness and ample seating distance, so it doesn't get overly crowded or noisy even during peak hours. Window seats offer views of the street below. After breakfast, you can directly access the Shuiyou City mall, making it convenient for a post-meal stroll or grocery shopping. The cleaning staff are quick to clear tables, ensuring timely plate removal and preventing clutter. Now for the cons. Firstly, during peak hours, some dishes are refilled slowly. During the weekend breakfast rush (7-8 AM), popular items like soup dumplings and fried eggs often run out, requiring a wait for replenishment. The fruit selection is quite basic, with only common items like watermelon, oranges, and cantaloupe. While their freshness is acceptable, premium seasonal fruits are missing. Secondly, some hot dishes are a bit bland, and their heat retention is mediocre; near closing time, the food noticeably gets cold. Thirdly, there's a queue for fried eggs and made-to-order omelets. Staffing is limited, leading to longer wait times during peak periods. In terms of details, the self-service cutlery is clean and tidy, the self-service areas are clearly marked, and the food flow is well-designed. It's very family-friendly, offering special treats and small breads for children, along with mild porridges suitable for kids' palates. For guests whose room rates include breakfast, this standard fully justifies the price. At around 400+ RMB on non-holidays, being able to enjoy local specialties and a freshly cooked noodle station offers great value for money. However, when room rates increase during peak seasons, the breakfast quality doesn't improve accordingly, which makes the value seem slightly diminished. In summary, if you're visiting Fuzimiao and don't want the hassle of waking up early to find breakfast, this hotel's breakfast fully meets your needs. You can eat well and heartily, and taste Nanjing specialties all in one go, saving time and effort. Those with extremely picky tastes might find it ordinary, but as a standard buffet breakfast for a chain hotel, it's generally satisfactory and exceeds expectations, making it a significant plus for the hotel."
