"The room is very small, even for a couple. It feels a bit cramped, especially if you have luggage, and there isn’t much space to move around or relax comfortably. It’s more suitable for short stays or solo travellers. Lighting in the room is also quite poor. It feels dim and not well-lit, which makes the space feel even smaller and less comfortable, especially at night or when trying to get ready. Overall, the hotel is functional and clean, but the compact room size and insufficient lighting make it less ideal for couples or longer stays."

"The staff is so attentive and the location is great. You might even want to try the soba eatery next door😋 The view and open air atmosphere on the rooftop is a plus. Back to the room, I would say the design of lighting makes it so homie and cozy. The space in the room may not be that spacious but good enough for a 26 inch luggage to unpack. As soil in the name, the earthy color looks warm and welcoming. Feel relaxed immediately. Also, the bathtub makes relaxation a next level thing."

"Found at least 2 opened candy wrappers on the floor next to the bed near the window side. Cleaning can be done better. Stove is no longer able to use, but no big deal. Location is a bit far from train stations, around 20 mins walk, but there’s bus option connecting from the train station to a few mins walk to the hotel. Staffs are nice. Space is enough for two people with both suitcases opened, although doorway is a bit narrow for the room style I stayed, found difficulty with entering the room especially with a suitcase."

"The overall price isn't cheap, but the facilities are very new and clean. However, the soundproofing in the rooms is definitely an issue, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider. I tried everything on the breakfast menu, and every item was of good quality."

Hotel near Shinbashi,Tokyo
A 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station. Close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and more, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing in Tokyo. It's also close to Tokyo Tower and located along the JR Yamanote Line, making travel very easy. The room type is a mixed-gender dormitory room.

"Overall, the hostel isn't bad. However, it was inconvenient that I was staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but the showers, kitchen, and common area were all on the -1 floor. Also, the location was in an area where people were constantly drinking and partying until morning. It was quiet, but it was a fact that there were many drunk people in the area in the morning, just like at night. What also made me uncomfortable as a woman was that about 90% of the guests in the hostel were men. And it constantly smelled of men's feet 🥲… but I liked everything else about the hostel. The only unpleasant incident was when I left a lot of groceries in the common fridge, and the next morning, I found nothing… only wrappers and packaging in the trash can… After that, I was really afraid to leave any of my belongings there. It was about a 10-14 minute walk to the metro."

"Although it was only a one-night stay, it was such a lovely room that I would love to stay there for a longer period! First of all, when I checked in and entered the room, the air conditioner was already on, which was a great help! I was so impressed by their thoughtfulness! Also, there was a convenience store less than a minute's walk away, a shopping complex right in front, and the station was only about a four-minute walk away, so the location was fantastic! It was a very cost-effective stay and I was extremely satisfied! I would definitely stay there again if I have the chance!"

"I was a bit worried because there weren't many reviews, but this place turned out to be absolutely perfect! The capsule itself was super cozy, and the amenities were well-prepared. Shin-Okubo station really feels like a Korean town – everywhere you look, there are Korean restaurants with Hangeul signs, K-pop is playing in the shops, and there are even photo booths integrated into the Japanese streets. It was such a unique sight to see Korea blended into the Japanese landscape. This great location, combined with the fact that the accommodation had just been renovated and was so clean, really made a huge difference to my trip and made it incredibly enjoyable. I'd definitely love to stay here again on my next visit! 😊"

Discover all that Taito Ward has to offer during your stay at Tora Hotel Ueno 5-chome.

"The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. The location is very convenient, with many drugstores, clothing stores, and restaurants nearby. Messages were replied to quickly, and communication in Chinese is possible. Perhaps because of its proximity to the station and izakayas (Japanese pubs), and since we stayed in a room facing the road, the soundproofing was a bit poor. We could hear loud noises from downstairs, but we were too tired to be disturbed and slept soundly. 😂 Overall, it's a hotel I would definitely stay at again!"

"This is a fantastic guesthouse/hotel! The location is great, near Asakusa Station on the subway. It's within walking distance of Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree, and very convenient for getting to the airport. There's a luggage entrance/exit through Exit A** of the subway station, and an elevator. The hotel is very new, with new furniture and decor, and all the necessary appliances are provided. You can cook and do laundry. Although the rooms aren't large, the design is compact, with two small bedrooms. You can see Tokyo Skytree from the windows. The bathroom is particularly great, with a shower and a bathtub. The bathtub has hot water that's kept warm. There are plenty of electrical outlets in the room, which is very convenient. I highly recommend this guesthouse/hotel. A word of caution: don't be misled by the photos on Google Maps; the entrance is inside the garden path behind you."
