New Hotels in Tokyo

"I had a great overall experience staying at the Park Royal Hotel Maihama Resort Tokyo Bay for my Disney trip. (I initially considered the Hilton, but decided against it when rooms became available later, as three nights would have cost over 500 more in taxes, so I settled on this one.) The hotel is relatively new, so the facilities are clean and modern, and the pricing is reasonable. The triple room I booked was comfortable, and one of the beds was convenient for organizing my belongings. The lobby features a charming wooden decor, creating an elegant and pleasant atmosphere. The hotel provides an exclusive shuttle bus service to and from Maihama Station and both Disney parks, making it easy to get to and from the theme parks. However, it's worth noting that this hotel is not an official Disney partner hotel, so the shuttle convenience isn't on par with the Hilton. The shuttle drop-off point isn't in the core park area, and if the shuttle is full and you can't board, you'll have to take a taxi back. The triple room was spacious and included a microwave, which was very useful for heating food. The front desk staff were friendly and the luggage storage process was smooth. The only drawback is that the hotel doesn't offer bellhop service to deliver luggage to your room after check-in, a convenience many other hotels provide. There's a large Lawson convenience store on the first floor of the hotel, which is super convenient for grabbing snacks and daily necessities at night. The shuttle bus has operational gaps, so sometimes I had to take a taxi to and from Maihama Station. The shuttle route goes to Disney Land first, then Disney Sea. On several occasions when returning from the parks, I couldn't easily find the pickup point and had to take a taxi back. If I stay here again, I'll need to meticulously check the shuttle schedule and stop locations in advance to plan my transportation. As an added bonus, I requested a room near the elevator, on a high floor, with a view of DisneySea, and the hotel was able to accommodate my request perfectly."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of Ginza, with a subway station conveniently located downstairs. They even have dedicated Chinese-speaking staff who helped with check-in and explained the room's amenities. For Ginza, where space is a premium, the room was surprisingly spacious. It featured a minimalist Japanese design with many thoughtful little touches, like traditional paper lantern-shaped lights and a small courtyard on the balcony. The room also came with its own private hot spring bath, using water transported from Atami, which was incredibly relaxing. Overall, the experience was fantastic, though it's a shame I only booked one night and didn't get to try the hotel's special kaiseki dinner."

"I had a comfortable and safe stay all week! I'd definitely want to stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Tokyo for an extended period. It's also conveniently located near a subway station, making it easy to get to Ginza with just a short walk. It was a bit small for opening two large suitcases, but it was still great!"

"Hygiene: All good, just the towel quality could be improved. When dry, it sheds white cotton fibers that easily stick to your body. Environment: Though small, it has all the essentials, with a gym being a plus point. Service: Personally, I felt the male staff weren't very genuinely service-oriented. Overall, it was satisfactory. Facilities: The bed wasn't long enough, likely due to the space constraints of Ginza hotels where every inch counts."

"Check-in was easier than I thought, as a dedicated staff will help us to use the machine to scan the passport, and the machine will split out the room card after validation. Staff is very polite. The room is clean and has all the amenities I need. Breakfast has everything I need, but definitely not the fancy type.  Location is close to the main business centre at Toranomon, very convenient for business traveling. I definitely will come back again for my next business travel. For improvement, I would like the breakfast serving to start at 6am, as my early flight prevented me to get the chance to have breakfast on the last day."

"Though small, the room was fully equipped. The bathroom was spacious, and the bed was relatively small, making it suitable for female travelers. Surprisingly, the small room even had a small table seating three people, showcasing the essence of Japanese interior design – a true example of how a small house can be transformed into a miniature version of a TV show. It's conveniently located just across the street from the station and within walking distance of Daikanyama. Upon check-in, the front desk staff were very welcoming and told us to help ourselves to toiletries. There was also free ice cream in the freezer. Overall, everything felt very Tokyo, and I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Tokyo again."

"Although the accommodation isn't near a train station, it's still convenient as there are buses available. If you return late, you'll have to walk. I enjoyed the feeling of strolling through Tokyo. The room wasn't too small, and the bathroom even had a bathtub. Basic amenities are available for self-service on the first floor. The check-in counter is on the first floor, which is a small space with nowhere to sit. There's also nothing nearby to browse. If you arrive too early, you'll just drop off your luggage and leave, with Asakusa being the closest place to explore."

"What I liked: - Great location - New hotel What I didn't like: - No water in the room, and the water cooler on the floor didn't have English buttons. - The breakfast price was clearly overpriced, considering you could get breakfast at a nearby cafe for 900 yen + the cost of a drink. - It was noisy, even in rooms facing the courtyard."
