We were traveling as a family and had specifically booked a family suite. This room was reserved more than a month in advance, and the price was quite high. However, we were very upset on the day of check-in, as the suite we were given was absolutely not the Executive View Suite I had booked. Although it was a suite, there was absolutely no view. After a long back-and-forth, with a lot of help from Trip.com customer service, we were moved to a different suite, but it still wasn't the room type I had originally booked. Since we were staying for two nights, we were moved to yet another suite on the second night, which finally matched the room type I had booked. The hotel itself is good and highly recommended. The location is excellent, and after all, it's a five-star luxury hotel. However, the front desk staff was unfriendly on the day of check-in, which led to a very poor check-in experience.

The hotel is uphill at the other end of grindelwald, not too close to Grindelwald station and Coop, fortunately the door is bus 121, 122, 123, but at first I saw Google map that it was a 15-minute walk from the train station only, but I knew it was quite hard to push luggage up the slope  Fortunately, it is close to Pfingstegg and First cable car stations, and Jungfrau must either take bus 121, 123 or train to Grindelwald Terminal station, change to the Eiger Cable car, or go to Grindelwald station and take the Train to Kleine Scheidegg Although I live up to 4/F, the room has no air conditioning, so insects have entered the room🫨 But the scenery is beautiful, the room is big, the worst thing is no refrigerator, can only cook the noodles in the room Breakfast itself thought there was very little food, but you can order hot drink and egg separately, which is quite good Although seeing hotel restaurant dinner seems to be praised by many people, but too expensive, the cheapest is the 4-course menu d fine din, have to over CHF100

Environment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although it’s a 20-minute walk, it’s all uphill and it’s super tiring! ! Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.

The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience. The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped. Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice.

It's close to the station. The room is warmly furnished and the lighting is very atmospheric. It's amazing at first sight when you open the door! There were few choices for breakfast. I didn’t find any shampoo or shower gel until I took a shower on the first day. However, when we asked about it the next day, a guy at the counter helped us bring it to the room. Thank you!

Best part of my Europe trip! Firstly, the location is really good, it is right beside the Grindelwald Terminal station, which is really well connected to all the tourist spots of the Jungfrau region and also the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen areas. The view was the best part of the stay. Shoutout to Benjamin! He got us Room 301, from which the Eiger North Face was right in front of the room balcony. The room was really good too, a bunk bed and 2 single beds. One thing you should know is that the shower area has no door lol. Amenities were just a hand soap and a body wash. They have laundry machines for 5CHF, a great breakfast spread, a community hall with billiards table and a mini kitchen. There's also a great grill and bar restaurant open till 9pm. There's a Coop in the terminal, but it closes by 7pm, had all the essentials. I'm definitely coming back to Eiger Lodge Chic and asking Benjamin for a room!

The hotel is on the way to the First cable car, Bort station, more than 1,600 meters above sea level, from the Grindelwald train station by car, about 20 minutes, the mountain trail 18 bends, test the car skills but the scenery is beautiful, the snow mountain is in front of you. It is said that the navigation information of Apple Map is not allowed, and it is very crazy to ask for help from the hotel. Finally, it depends on Baidu map (the domestic SIM card cannot be used on Google). We have 2 big 2 small booking triple rooms (the youngest is only 3 years old), there is no problem with staying. The room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Dinner is good, 4 people 80 yuan to get. There is a children's playground next to them and the children have a great time. In short, the scenery is first-class, self-driving is still convenient and comfortable, recommended.

The location is a very far walk from Grindelwald Station, or a short bus ride away. 🌟Throw away the idea of ​​walking with your luggage on the first day.🌟 This is a vertical hike that you can never climb without carrying your luggage. Be sure to check the bus schedule before taking the bus (it's convenient to use the SBB app). Your accommodation will give you a Grindelwald guest card, so you can ride the bus for free. (I had a Jungfrau VIP coupon, so I didn’t use it.) The reasons I cried were: 1) As soon as I arrived, there was no one, so I called and waited for about an hour, but no one answered and didn't come. There were people staying, so I had to wait in the lobby. I had another number on my laptop, so I called, but no one answered. 2) While I was waiting, a man called and asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to check in, he said I was fully booked for today, so what did I mean? I told him my reservation number and he said he would understand. Later, he came running in from outside and asked for my passport. Didn't say a single word of apology. (I was very angry here.) Anyway, in conclusion, he said that there was a reservation history on Trip.com but not in his system, so he had me check it and said he would do something about it since there were no rooms available. However, his attitude was not that he was sorry and was trying to do something, but rather that he was annoyed with me. 3) In the end, they gave us our room keys condescendingly, as if they had made it very difficult for us to get a room, and we were very upset that they were sorry for waiting for an hour and that there was no compensation, but we wanted to rest in the room quickly, so we brought the keys up. However, as shown in the picture, they gave me a room without a terrace... Obviously, the room I paid for had a terrace on the reservation screen, and I made the reservation with that in mind, so when I went to argue with them, they said that the room I had reserved was that room. (I was told that it was given to me because I had created a room, but when I went down and inquired, I found out that the room was originally assigned...) 4) Then, while showing a picture of the reservation screen on 'Booking.com', he enthusiastically emphasizes that the room may or may not have a terrace. The problem is that I paid through 'Trip.com' and the room type I booked on Trip.com is not available. All photos showed a terrace. When I said that, he got very angry and told me to cancel it for free and to leave if I didn't like it. To be honest, these words sounded very threatening to me, and I was so intimidated by the man's attitude that I was afraid that he might do something to me. I sometimes wonder if they are speaking in such a threatening manner because I am a woman and Asian. [I notified Booking.com's customer service center of my move, and now the reservation screen for the room I selected also includes a photo of a room without a terrace.] Anyway, for this reason, I started my trip to Switzerland very angry and depressed. ㅠ ㅠ This room does not have a terrace and has a tree view, as someone left in a Google review... lol Next time I go again, I think I'll just choose the room one level up because I'm worried about getting this room. Also, the toilet and bathroom were attached together, so it was shared by 3 rooms. Please note.

The hotel is halfway up the hill, some distance from the Grindelwald center and the train station. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be transported. We are self-driving. But it is enough, the biggest feature is the scenery, so beautiful!
