Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof

Staying at a perfect hotel in Grindelwald! The location is excellent, very close to the main attractions and the train station, which saved us a lot of hassle. Opening the window, we had an unobstructed view of the Eiger – the scenery was both soothing and breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable, the service was warm and attentive, and it offered great value for money. If you're coming to Grindelwald, you must stay here. Highly recommended!

## Environment The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery. ## Facilities Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day. ## Service Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day.

My friends couldn't stop praising my choice, thanks to the stunning scenic drive and the hotel's exceptional facilities and service. The rooms were absolutely fantastic and felt just like home; each independent bedroom had its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring everyone had their private space. The living room and spacious balcony were incredibly comfortable, offering the perfect setting for socializing and enjoying our time together. We were particularly impressed by all the thoughtful details: the breakfast service, valet parking, complimentary mini-bar, free sightseeing bus tickets, and the staff's proactive assistance with our luggage. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Switzerland.

Absolutely fantastic! The surroundings are beautiful, the service is excellent, and the entire place is immaculately clean. The breakfast area was also delightful, and their on-site courtyard bar was a charming touch. We even received complimentary drinks upon check-in, which was a wonderful bonus!

Unquestionably the best hotel near Grindelwald station. The hotel restaurant is also excellent. Rooms offer breathtaking views of the picturesque slopes and the Eiger. The only minor downside is the price. Highly recommended!

We were traveling as a family and had specifically booked a family suite. This room was reserved more than a month in advance, and the price was quite high. However, we were very upset on the day of check-in, as the suite we were given was absolutely not the Executive View Suite I had booked. Although it was a suite, there was absolutely no view. After a long back-and-forth, with a lot of help from Trip.com customer service, we were moved to a different suite, but it still wasn't the room type I had originally booked. Since we were staying for two nights, we were moved to yet another suite on the second night, which finally matched the room type I had booked. The hotel itself is good and highly recommended. The location is excellent, and after all, it's a five-star luxury hotel. However, the front desk staff was unfriendly on the day of check-in, which led to a very poor check-in experience.

We stayed in late July. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, and it was very convenient to visit both First and Jungfrau. The views were stunning!
