I recently stayed at the Carlyle Inn and had a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the heart of Pico Robertson, so there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and other amenities within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Los Angeles. Here are some additional details about my stay: 1. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, a desk, a chair, and a TV. 2. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. 3. The hotel had a small gym with a punching bag, which was a nice touch. 4. The hotel is located in a great area, with plenty of kosher restaurants, grocery stores, and shuls within walking distance. 5. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were able to answer all of my questions. Overall, I had a great experience at the Carlyle Inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Los Angeles. I tried checking in early but was told that there would be an additional charge if I wanted to check in before 3pm. That was a bit of a bummer :(

The Elan Hotel is minutes to CBS Television City - Rodeo Drive - the Sunset Strip and Hollywood and Highland. The balance of elegance comfort and service make it the place to stay when visiting the City of Angels. - The modernist building exterior is painted a rich mocha complementing the warm interior hues. Upon entering the hotel guests are greeted by an inviting and comfortable lounge reception with eco-friendly bamboo flooring and rattan chairs and sofas in soft ocher. This is an ideal place to relax enjoy the complimentary expanded continental breakfast and complimentary evening wine reception or surf the net at the computer workstation with complimentary Wi-Fi.

It's a newly opened hotel, so it's clean and the interior is pretty, but there's construction going on here and there. And I wish they would pay a little more attention to security.

The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is a luxury urban resort hotel and spa featuring a rooftop pool, an outdoor patio and a trendy bar with craft cocktails, delicious bar bites and famous daily entertainment like Monday Jazz . Ideally located across of the street of L.A. largest shopping mall the Beverly Center, within 2mi of Rodeo Dr, Sunset Blvd, the Grove and the Academy Museum.

Pros: 1. The bed is incredibly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. It's the best welcome at night and the hardest goodbye in the morning. 2. The staff is very friendly and helpful. 3. The room walls are effectively soundproof? I didn't hear my neighbors at all, which was fantastic. 4. The location is very convenient, with easy access to restaurants, shops, (Eggslut is just around the corner). Cons: 1. There is a $32 daily destination fee that wasn't included in the booking or communicated at check-in. It's unclear what this fee covers, especially since amenities like water are only available in the hall and cleaning service was only requested every 3-4 days. I was only informed about this fee upon check-out, resulting in an unexpected additional charge of over $400. My stay was good, but the hotel needs to improve communication and be transparent about additional fees (destination, gratuity etc).

AAnonymous UserThe hotel shuttle waits at the designated pick-up area on the third floor of the terminal, stopping at every terminal. Within a 100-200 meter walk from the hotel, there are convenient stores like In-N-Out, a supermarket, and Starbucks, so you won't go hungry. The room amenities are complete, and breakfast is basic. XXueyingjingI booked this hotel for a layover in Los Angeles. They offer a free airport shuttle, but be aware: there are two Hilton Garden Inns near the airport. For *this* one, you need to call the hotel for a pickup, whereas the other one doesn't require a call. After collecting your luggage, head to the 'hotel parking' area and look for the red sign. Call the hotel, tell them which terminal you're at, and provide your name and phone number. They'll send a car to pick you up within 15-30 minutes. (Initially, we got on a Hilton Garden Inn shuttle at the red sign, only to find out it wasn't the correct hotel when we arrived!) Bottled water in the room costs extra, but there's complimentary iced water available in the lobby. There's also a small convenience store. Rooms don't come with toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers. About a 10-minute walk away, there's a commercial area with an In-N-Out Burger and a 7-Eleven. Remember to book in advance, as prices tend to increase closer to the date.

GGuest UserMy wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

LLyn R.Awesome front desk service and staff! Just stayed over for the weekend to attend a Dodgers game. Picked this hotel because other closer hotels had a $40-$60 per night parking fee, while this one was reasonably priced at $15 per night I believe. I wasn’t expecting a brand new hotel, and it was really nice. Only junk thing was our in room fridge was either broken or not plugged in so I had to throw away a cup of fruit but not a big deal. Will definitely be staying here every time I come to town for a game.

GGuest UserWe extended our stay a few times, and each time we were required to make a $100 deposit for incidentals ( to be returned in up to 7 days if not used). Since we did not make any incidental or other charges, this repeated charge only drained our account and held the $100, making our hard-earned money unavailable to us. The property said it was company policy. The company says it's the policy of independent owners. Regardless, what is the purpose of repeatedly holding an extra $100 if guests want to extend the stay and there are no incidental charges for the current stay? If you must charge the $100 which we feel is necessary every time, how about a policy of one $100 charge for the first stay and replenishing or extending the $100 incidental charge (i.e., don't charge an extra $100 for an extension if the first $100 wasn't used or only partially used). Just let the original $100 roll over to the extended stay (if there were no incidental charges during the original stay) or only replenish the charge up to $100 if part of the original $100 was used (i.e., only charge enough to make $100). This way, your guests who are supposed to be your most valuable asset won't be made to feel they are being nickeled and dimed just for the convenience of an unfair or inequitable policy no one in authority appears to want to address. To address my concern would only take a small one-time programming change -- don't you agree

NNeel KapadiaI was not given the room that me and one of my colleagues booked by saying its over booked and error by system. We have asked to change on next day. And front dest seems to not feel guilty at all and given some $10-20 coupon and we feel its very regular for them. Dont like they treat the way in this situation. Also have less water flow in shower and basin. Otherwise bed, rooms and location is good as per my works.

TTaoshengyijiuThe hotel is located in an area where Chinese people are concentrated, and there are many Chinese restaurants nearby. If you drive here, you need to tell the waiter at the front desk that the parking fee is $12 a day, and you can enter and exit the parking lot by swiping your room card, which is very convenient. The breakfast is not bad, you can eat in the restaurant, or you can take a large plate back to the room to eat.
