Great
GGuest UserI spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts: PROS: - Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport. - Nice decors and overall pretty clean. CONS: - The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room. - Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.

GGuest UserOn a busy street, it’s not very quiet, but you can wear earplugs. Your experience depends on the other travelers, of course, if they are considerate. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The reason I like this place is because it has a lot of character. It’s a turn-of-the-last century, 1890s palace, with very fancy ceilings, parquet wooden floors, and a marble floor lobby. It’s a real palace, one of many in Portugal! In 1914 it was rented to the Swiss Ambassador of Portugal. Although the place is quite dated now, it still has a lot of class. If you have a little more money, you can rent a small suite, higher up and quieter, also with credit card points (free or almost ). Unfortunately the internet only works in the lobby if you have a mobile phone. It seems to work fine for iPads and computers, strangely enough. It has a kitchen and washer / dryer. The fridge is old-style retro, as well as the deco in the whole hotel / hostel. (small fridge, but it does have a small freezer, too.) The place has a restaurant, which is popular. If you eat a large breakfast you can include it with your rent, it costs about 9€ (I don’t , so the kitchen was fine – modern electric stove top, microwave – no oven!) The top bunk of a three-tiered system is fairly safe, as it has steps, instead of ladder rungs. It has wooden lockers (bring your own lock) and small boxes, hidden in the stairs at every bed level. Not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights… or those who can’t do stairs. Two flights of stairs up! Shared rooms on first and second floors, kitchen is on the first. No elevator to the shared rooms, unlike the suites.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not located in the city, but there is a subway station that takes ten minutes' walk to the old city. It is also very convenient because there is no taxi in the city to go to the airport. The breakfast in the hotel is very good, the variety is rich and the quality is good, and the service is particularly good. SANA is a local hotel chain in Portugal, and its quality and service are quite guaranteed. The hotel is located on the flight network where planes land and take off, but the soundproofing in the room is good, which is perfect if you want to watch and take pictures of planes.

GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay at Masa Hotel spa combo grande collection .The breakfast was really nice and great way to start your day, and the amenities were excellent — guests can use the spa, gym, sauna, and bath facilities, which made the stay more enjoyable. Although the location is a bit far from some of the main attractions, it is still reasonably convenient since they can be easily reached by metro. Cleaning was generally okay, but the shower drain in our room was not working very well, which was a bit inconvenient.

GGuest UserDon't book through Trip.com; they give you an inferior room type and make you pay an extra 8 euros for city tax.

GGuest UserThe hotel was nice and clean but the furniture and interiors seemed a bit old. The location was near the airport but a bit far from the city centre. I liked the amenities but they didn't have tissues for hand and face, only toilet paper mother than the noise of occasional airplanes the building and the surroundings were quiet. The only problem we had was that we were not given the code to the apartment building and the reception desk was located inside. Fortunately a guest came and opened it for us before we had to contact the owner.

PPQ1491The host didn't email the door code to me and there was no one answering the doorbell for the first three times my friends and I tried when it's raining heavily outside that day. I called the owner and they said they would open the door but they didn't and I had to call another time so that they would actually give us the door code to get into the building. The environment around the stay is very dirty, the road is full with dog poops everyday since morning and it smells very bad. My belonging is missing in the apartment when I'm very sure that it was still in the bathroom before we left the room. I'm not sure if the cleaner broke it or something else, but I asked them and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I don't mind if they broke it i just want an explanation about why is it missing and they just ignored me, instead they just say they couldn't find the item. The cleaner cleans the room everyday, the room is clean and is a nice place to sleep overall.

AAnonymous UserThe room with bathroom inside the room with balcony. No curtains on the beds, the light can bother, no privacy. There is elevator, no problems with luggage. There is a kitchen, but is closed in the night time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

SSefy LevyThis hostel is located about 3km walk from the center city, but does have some close by attractions (such as the Jeronimo's Monetary) The room is extremely small, if you seat on the edge of the bed and try to stretch your legs, you'll most likely hit the wall. We had our room replaced, as the first room had zero privacy for the toilet and the second room gave the illusion of privacy (as you can see in photos) We've not seen any of the management, as everything is done thru WhatsApp to contact them and they will respond. Breakfast was OK, it had a bit of choices but there was more cakes and cookies then actual food.
