I appreciated the low laundry fee! The facilities and room were clean and comfortable! However, I was a little disappointed that the room had no windows, so it was hot and a little damp in the room. I'm glad I have good security.

A clean and trendy hotel located at Upper Queen Street. The hotel has a gym, massage and an Italian restaurant downstairs. Staff were friendly. Convenience stores, bars and late night restaurants on Karangahape Road were around the corner. The core CBD was only an approximately 15-20 mins walk. Recommend!

This was our first stay at Ascotia Off Queens and I have to say that the staff were very accommodating during or two nights there. (A little side note; the deposit is $250.00 and not the stated $100.00 on the Trip website. I paid cash for the deposit and received it back on checkout without any issues). They have a nice little dining space on the ground floor opposite reception which caters for al a carte or buffet depending on your choice and it's very responsibly priced. The parking spaces are limited so best to reserve early and as for the parking spaces themselves? We had no issues with parking but it can be a tight squeeze if you have a larger vehicle, still doable though. The bedroom we were in was tidy and small, but comfortable. Shower amenities were good with complimentary body wash, shampoo & body lotion provided. The bed we found to be clean and comfortable so no complaints there. The only issue we had was not enough room to store our bags and the bin in our room was tiny. Apart from that Ascotia off Queens was a great place to stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the great service.

Customer service at the reception was excellent all throughout our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a 2 room apartment, which was clean, spacious and nice. But the fridge wasn't working, and we had food to keep, so the front desk officer got us into another unit very quickly, which was also nice. But this second unit also had some minor issues. One of the bathroom cabinets was warped and the door was popping out because of water damage, and the bathroom floor kept getting flooded even though the bath door was closed and the shower was not turned on for long. There seemed to be a leaking/flooding problem somewhere. And my wife also complained the oven was not working. But overall the place was nice and comfortable, and the location is within walking distance to most Auckland city centre attractions, shopping and eateries. Perhaps management could consider repairing and upgrading certain items in the apartments.

Only once have I been dissatisfied so was very pleased with the service and kindness shown to me on my stay on 6th April.
I am now ninety three so having a convenient room on the fourth floor near the lift such a big plus .
Certainly can pass on my pleasure of my stay to many of my friends.

GGuest UserThis was the first hotel we stayed at in New Zealand, right in the heart of Auckland. The room was spacious and very clean, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The only downside was its distance from the Sky Tower and Queen Street; it took about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel from where the airport bus dropped us off. However, the hotel offers a shuttle service that runs hourly, which was convenient for getting around.

Despite the presence of multiple tourist groups, the room provided a comfortable and tranquil environment. My stay was significantly enhanced by the exceptional service provided by Oliver at the front desk, whose friendly demeanor and evident passion for his work were particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend seeking his assistance should you require any support during your visit.

GGuest UserWe booked a room with breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel at 8 PM, just in time before dinner service ended. The hotel dinner truly blew us away; there was so much food that two adults and two children couldn't even finish it all, and the quality and taste were superb. There was also a great variety of fresh fruit. The next day, we went to a fruit shop and regretted not having packed up the last remaining fruit from the hotel. I've already recommended this hotel to friends, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit Auckland.

LLingerbaobeiThe room had a beautiful view, and the balcony door could be opened, but you couldn't get out because there wasn't enough room to stand, which was a shame!
The only downside to the room was that if you opened the refrigerator and didn't close it immediately, or if you closed the door too slowly, a speaker on the ceiling would suddenly start making noises in English. Since my English isn't good, I couldn't understand a word they were saying, and it was terrifying! I felt like I was being spied on, and I didn't even know I was changing clothes. Was there any CCTV in the room? It was quite frightening, and I'm afraid to extend my stay.

The food was the only disappointment, with a chicken burger being $25 but not having chicken breast patties like should be standard for this price-point - instead it had cheap orange-coloured crumbed minced ”mystery chicken” patties.

Room was good, clean and tidy, there were tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge. Room was a good size, decor was very dated and the bed was average. The room suited me for what I needed as an international stopover for a few hours sleep.
