During our stay at Hotel MyStays Fukuoka, everything felt easy and convenient. The location made getting around the city stress-free, with shops, restaurants, and public transport just a short walk away. Our room was clean and cozy, perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the daily upkeep was well done. The staff were warm, polite, and always ready to help when needed. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was practical and typical for Japan. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant stay, and we would definitely consider booking here again.

Facilities: Modern and minimalist design, fulfilling basic needs with thoughtful little touches. Cleanliness: Generally satisfactory. The sleep pods, lockers, and bathrooms were all quite clean. Environment: A 7-8 minute walk from Hakata Station, easy to find. Service: Fully self-service, though staff were visible cleaning. Additional: Whether you get a good night's sleep really depends on luck. On an unremarkable Monday night, my floor's sleep pods were almost fully occupied 😭 and unfortunately, I was assigned a pod near the entrance. The constant coming and going, elevator noise, and footsteps were very noisy all night. For light sleepers, proceed with extreme caution! Grab a few extra earplugs from near the elevator. Waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to find them would be truly maddening.

Getting there: Take Exit 6 from the subway station, turn right, then right again at the Lawson convenience store. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to the hotel. (And there are many other hotels nearby). Exit 6 doesn't have an escalator. The closest one is Exit 2, diagonally opposite Exit 6, less than 100 meters away. Room: It's not big. Once you put down a 28-inch suitcase, there isn't much space left. Breakfast: They have bread, which you can heat up yourself, some salads, cold dishes, pan-fried wagyu cubes (or slices), and curry rice. It's decent, nothing spectacular. Other: There are free soft drinks, all tasting good. (There's also an all-you-can-drink beer option for 500 JPY, I think?). To highlight the main points: I've stayed at this brand's hotel in Nakasu multiple times, and overall, this one is a notch below that. Specifically: First, the reception area is very small. The restaurant, if you don't count the outdoor seating, feels a bit cramped. Secondly, for breakfast, the Nakasu hotel offers grilled sausages, grilled fish, and they can make pork or beef rice bowls on the spot. Plus, they have my favorite seared toast, none of which are available here. Of course, neither of these two hotels offers milk. Finally, regarding location: if you have luggage, it's very convenient to take the elevator from Nakasu. Getting to this Tenjin hotel with luggage is too roundabout and troublesome. If I had to name the biggest advantage of the Tenjin hotel, it's the abundance of fast-food restaurants along the way to the hotel, and its convenient access to Tenjin shopping (though it's still at least an 8-10 minute walk).

Extremely satisfied with this stay! 👍 I've stayed at this hotel's Ginza location in Tokyo before, and this was my first time at the Fukuoka Tenjin hotel. The room was cozy, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious! The bathtub 🛁 was large enough for a relaxing soak. Downstairs there's a 24-hour sushi restaurant, and a 7-Eleven right in the building – so convenient! I'll definitely be back to stay again! Highly recommend!

This feels more like a 4-star hotel that doesn't live up to its name. We stayed for two nights, and despite requesting room cleaning, it was never done. We had to find a staff member ourselves in the evening to tidy up. We booked a room with a kitchen, but shockingly, we had to go to the front desk to pick up the kitchen utensils (which were quite heavy), which was a real hassle. The air conditioning in the room was very loud, so I'd advise anyone with light sleep to be cautious when booking. I do not recommend it.

When we opened the shower room, the curtain in the shower room is very smelly. When we left the door opened and when out for dinner, the whole room became very smelly too. Mouldy around bathtub, didnt dare to have a bath because of that. Bedsheet and blanket cover has stained. Aircon definitely needs servicing, it is dusty and mouldy smell. We had to open the window instead of using the aircon. Reception is not so welcoming when we checked in and checked out Only Pros this hotel has is location, Full Full, Shin Shin, Mina, Aeon supermarket, train station all short walking distance.

Facilities: Very complete. I mainly used the room's bathroom and shower, which were very easy to operate. There's also a 24-hour water dispenser on the first floor. Cleanliness: Very clean, and my roommates were all quite considerate. The landlady probably cleans the common areas daily. Environment: Excellent. Fukuoka isn't very big, and I don't like staying in commercial areas. So, the 16-20 minute walk back from Tenjin or Hakata was perfect for digestion and a pleasant stroll. You can smoke outside the entrance. In the communal lounge on the first floor, everyone can chat together. The landlady even prepared tangerines and persimmons, haha! The bunk beds were also very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The public bath was smaller than those in the other hotels we’ve stayed at, but overall it was great. I found the view from the bath very relaxing. Having a sauna and a gym would make it even better. Breakfast was tasty and offered a wide selection of different foods, mostly Asian dishes. I had high expectations for the kaisendon, but unfortunately it was just okay. I appreciated the professional attitude of the restaurant staff. Overall, the service met the expected standards. .

Great value for money, and the room was quite spacious with a 1.2-meter bed. It's not super convenient, though. If you love shopping, I'd recommend staying closer to the LV store. You can access the subway via Exit 5 or East 2 through the Tenjin Underground Mall.

The hotel has three types of rooms/cabins: regular pods, private cabins and premium private cabins. For the pods, there is a separate locker room to stash your belongings in; private cabins have their locker inside, as well as a table and a chair. The hotel was clean and nice, you get towels upon check-in, and towel tickets for every day of your stay in case you need a change. Toiletries and room cleaning are on-demand. You cannot use toilets or showers from 11 AM to 3 PM due to cleaning, but otherwise you can freely use the lounge with the microwave, manga and hot water, and your own cabin/pod.
