The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. After so many trips to Japan, this hotel stands out as being right in the heart of the Tenjin shopping district. It's incredibly convenient for everything – shopping, the subway, and dining. The 19th floor of the hotel is also beautiful, offering a superb view. The staff were polite and very efficient. They helped us book a restaurant, and communication in English was seamless. The only minor drawback was that the room was quite small. It felt a bit cramped for two people, so next time I'd consider booking a larger room.

Excellent service from the hotel! They allowed us to leave our luggage for two nights even before checking in (as we’re taking a trip out of Fukuoka). Room is spacious for a Japan hotel standard. Only downside was the curtains that doesn’t seem to be blackout curtains. Breakfast has a decent spread! Convenient location but the nearest subway exit to the hotel does not have a lift / escalator though! The famous full full bakery and shin shin ramen ar just a few mins walk from the hotel.

Easy check in. Luggage hold before check in time and after checkout convenient. We had the breakfast which was nothing fancy but excellent. The location was perfect for walking in that every direction there was subway access, parks, malls and restaurants. Room was very clean and well lit. I would stay there again for sure.

I stayed here for two nights right after landing in Fukuoka, and even as a solo traveler, the room felt incredibly cramped. I quickly switched hotels on the third day. The room was tiny and dated, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a guesthouse from the last century. You basically stepped out of the door and were immediately at the bed. My suitcase could only perch precariously on a folding luggage rack. The cleanliness was mediocre. The bathroom seemed quite clean and looked like it had been thoroughly scrubbed, but the room walls were very dirty with black marks. It wasn't until I opened my suitcase and its wheels rubbed against the wall that I realized where those black marks came from. Even though it was a non-smoking floor, the air in the room wasn't great. After just one night, my tonsils became inflamed. Those with sensitivities should definitely avoid this place. Toiletries and bathrobes were self-service in the lobby downstairs. The small packets of toner and lotion were surprisingly good, and the compressed exfoliating mitt was also quite useful. Drinking water wasn't provided, but there was a self-service laundry room. The hotel's location is pretty good, though. Le Labo is directly across the street, and there are many trendy shops and restaurants nearby. Tenjin shopping district is also within walking distance. It was quite cheap when I booked it, so I won't complain too much. It's suitable for backpackers.

Getting there: Take Exit 6 from the subway station, turn right, then right again at the Lawson convenience store. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to the hotel. (And there are many other hotels nearby). Exit 6 doesn't have an escalator. The closest one is Exit 2, diagonally opposite Exit 6, less than 100 meters away. Room: It's not big. Once you put down a 28-inch suitcase, there isn't much space left. Breakfast: They have bread, which you can heat up yourself, some salads, cold dishes, pan-fried wagyu cubes (or slices), and curry rice. It's decent, nothing spectacular. Other: There are free soft drinks, all tasting good. (There's also an all-you-can-drink beer option for 500 JPY, I think?). To highlight the main points: I've stayed at this brand's hotel in Nakasu multiple times, and overall, this one is a notch below that. Specifically: First, the reception area is very small. The restaurant, if you don't count the outdoor seating, feels a bit cramped. Secondly, for breakfast, the Nakasu hotel offers grilled sausages, grilled fish, and they can make pork or beef rice bowls on the spot. Plus, they have my favorite seared toast, none of which are available here. Of course, neither of these two hotels offers milk. Finally, regarding location: if you have luggage, it's very convenient to take the elevator from Nakasu. Getting to this Tenjin hotel with luggage is too roundabout and troublesome. If I had to name the biggest advantage of the Tenjin hotel, it's the abundance of fast-food restaurants along the way to the hotel, and its convenient access to Tenjin shopping (though it's still at least an 8-10 minute walk).

Hotel Mei is located close to Tenjin, Nakasu, Canal City, and other major tourist attractions in Hakata, yet in a calm atmosphere slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a lifestyle hotel that provides a comfortable experience for all who visit the hotel, not only as a base for sightseeing in Hakata, but also through its comfortable guest rooms, café lounge with a unique food culture, and local collaborations created together with local residents. An amenity bar has been installed in consideration of the environment. No one other than guests are allowed in any of the guest rooms.

Traveling solo in Fukuoka, the hotel's location was decent. The room size was moderate, not huge but good for Japan. Transportation wasn't as convenient as I'd imagined, though Tenjin and Canal City Hakata were indeed within walking distance, even if it was a bit tiring. The biggest plus is the hotel's ground-floor cafe – their summer shaved ice and crepes were absolutely delicious! There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, so foodies should definitely stay here. On another note, both the front desk and cafe staff were very stylish, all young, handsome guys and pretty girls. The short-haired girl at the front desk particularly reminded me of Riisa Naka (Gou-chan), very cute! Overall, I highly recommend this place for solo travelers or couples.

The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the location is excellent. The only minor issue is that the bathroom exhaust fan doesn't have a separate switch, so if you're sensitive to noise, you'll need to ask the front desk to turn it off. Overall, it's a great place and highly recommended.

This hotel is at the best location in Tenjin, literally 1 min walk from the main shopping street with the gaming arcades, shopping malls, and local dining. Hotel is fairly new and room is large by Japan standard. The bed is super comfortable and bathroom has a decent tub as well. Breakfast is very high quality with decent selections. Overall highly recommended if u want a location in the middle of all the fun in Tenjin.

Amazing
TtmlamThis year my wife and I went to Fukuoka for travel and celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. We’ve stayed in 4 hotels, among which 1 Fukuoka was the best one. The hotel room was very grand with a balcony and an amazing city view. Location was very convenient as it was very close to the metro station. The hotel service was also outstanding. To give a surprise to my wife, I asked the hotel via emails to prepare an anniversary cake for us. The hotel staff brought it our room and help taking photos for us. I also need to mention the breakfast of the hotel. Their breakfast should be the best for all hotels I’d ever stayed in Japan. On the last day, I left some cash in the safe and checked out. Fortunately, the hotel staff sent me emails and asked me to come back to hotel. Million thanks for their kind service and help!

GGuest UserThis hotel is super conveniently located right outside Setsudaijinja metro station. It's about a 1.1km walk to Tenjin, and Canal City is even closer, just 200 meters away. The location is absolutely fantastic! As expected for a Japanese hotel, it was clean and hygienic. Plus, the shower pressure was great and very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area – truly excellent 👍 The only minor thing is that it's not a bed, but a mattress on the floor, which is quite low. For someone who's a bit heavier, it can be a bit of a struggle, haha 😄

TTracey_TOverall - Exceptional value and surprising perks. 🏨 Stunning Room Highlights 1. The Ultimate Savior – In-Room Massage Chair: This is an absolute ”game-changer”! After a full day of exploring Fukuoka, being able to come back and enjoy a massage immediately was a lifesaver, cutting the fatigue in half. This amenity completely elevated the stay. 2. Thoughtful Amenities Strategy: The room provided basic toiletries like toothbrushes and towels. Even better, the hotel lobby offered additional, well-known brand skincare products (like facial wash, lotion) and more oral care items for guests to take as needed. This approach minimizes waste while catering to higher needs. 3. A Pleasant Surprise – In-Room Hair Straightener: Another delightful discovery! A hair straightener was already provided in the room. This was particularly appreciated, as many hotels only offer one upon request. As someone who really needs it to maintain smooth, sleek hair (even though the provided shampoo/conditioner were decent), this thoughtful inclusion saved me the hassle of asking and added a touch of convenience I truly valued. 4. No Smoke Smell Issue: Even though we stayed in a smoking room, there was absolutely no residual smoke smell. The air was fresh, showing the hotel's dedication to thorough cleaning and ventilation. 📍 Unbeatable Convenient Location The location is another major selling point, incredibly convenient whether for transportation or exploring the city on foot: · Transport Hub: Within walking distance to Hakata Station, and conveniently situated between two subway stations, making trips to the airport or other parts of Fukuoka very easy. · Culture & Shopping Paradise: · Within a 5-minute walk to Kushida Shrine, the Old Town Museum, and the Art Center, perfect for soaking in traditional culture. · Just a 15-minute walk to Canal City Hakata and the Naka River side, ideal for shopping, dining, and sightseeing all in one go. · Super Convenient for Daily Needs: There are two convenience stores right downstairs, perfect for grabbing drinks, snacks, or a late-night bite anytime. 🛎️ Service & Facility Details · Charging-Friendly: While the number of power outlets wasn't excessive, the room came equipped with a multi-purpose charging cable. This was a very considerate touch for modern travelers, providing a backup even if you forgot your adapter or a specific cable. · Peaceful Nights: The room had good sound insulation. We only heard an external vehicle (like an ambulance) once, so overall sleep quality was undisturbed. · TV & Entertainment: The channel selection was limited, but for guests focused on exploring the city, this wasn't an issue at all. · Breakfast is a Must-Try!: Highly recommend adding breakfast! The roasted beef bowl, seafood bowl, and Japanese curry were exceptionally delicious, exceeding the standard of typical hotel breakfasts. The most surprising part was that the breakfast buffet included unlimited wine, which is quite rare and made for a perfect start to the day.

Yyanyan2100The room was indeed quite small, which was a surprise given this was one of my 10+ trips to Japan. I specifically chose this hotel because it was recommended as a 'premium' option on Ctrip. The only real upside is the location, which is excellent, but the value for money isn't great if that's all you're considering. I initially thought the hotel's three eco-friendly cleaning policies were commendable. On the first day, I opted for just a towel change. However, on the second day, I clearly selected the full room cleaning option, but when I returned to the hotel after 7 PM, I found the room hadn't been cleaned at all, and the trash bags hadn't been replaced. It was completely overlooked. When I called the front desk, they said they were off-duty and could only replace towels and provide bottled water. We checked out the next day anyway.

GGuest UserPros: We had two adults and two children, and after confirming by phone, they added two more beds for us. This was truly the most mediocre hotel of our trip, and we stayed for two nights. The disposable toiletries were especially bad. The hot spring had only one pool, and it was packed with Koreans, which made the experience really unpleasant. We checked in on January 1st and tried to cancel on the 30th to book the Hilton near the Dome, but they wouldn't let us cancel. Oh well, I guess it was an experience. They couldn't arrange hotel parking for us either of the two days, even though it didn't seem like there were that many cars. I guess the parking lot must be small. The hotel's location is actually very good; it's a convenient 5-10 minute drive to the Ichiran main store, Hakata Bridge, and Nakasu. There are also several shopping districts nearby, which is nice. If you're looking for a good stay experience, I don't recommend this place. But if convenience is your priority, it's not bad.

AAnonymous UserLike all the other reviews here, Forza’s location can’t be beaten. Its literally less than 1 min walk from the airport bus stop. The popular Hakata Station is also within a minute walk. The location alone earns the hotel a 5 star. Checking in and out of hotel was also an ease. The staff at the counter was helpful and friendly. A bag of toiletries was also prepared for my 8 yr old with kiddy slippers, which was much appreciated. The room was decent size, we chose the 豪華雙人房 (19 sq m I think?) with a mini couch area – perfect for backpacks, a window, and a portable massage mat. I loved the magnets that we can stick to the door to let the cleaners know whether or not our room needs to be cleaned. What’s more is that there is an option to choose “Take out trash and change towels only”. This is a really thoughtful option, because we really don’t need our room to be made up every day. And it’s perfect that we can just have the trash taken out and towels changed. I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the hotel rooms after reading some of the reviews on here, especially when I have a kid with me. I don’t want her to get sick from the germs in the room. But to my surprise, the room was quite decent, atleast I didn’t see any visible dustballs or dirty air con ventilators. Maybe because the hotel already took action to clean all the rooms and air con vents after reading some of the reviews here about dirty air con vents? I took a photo of our room air con vents for parents to take a look =) The air purifier in the room was also very comforting. We stayed in Forza for 6 days and none of us got sick =D For the first 2 days, I did smell a bit of a urine smell when you kneel close to the carpet/toilet. It was a slight faint smell. By the 3rd day, there wasn’t much noticeable smell anymore, not sure if it was the air purifier that helped or if we got use to it. Hahaha. On one of the nights that we returned to the hotel, we noticed that the cleaners had forgotten to put a trash bag back into the trash can. So I called reception and told them. The suited man that came with a trash bag didn’t seem too friendly. He looked like he either didn’t want to be there, didn’t know what he needed to do, or that we are trying to cheat him of a plastic bag. Anyway, I had to explain that I need a trash bag because I didn’t want to make the trash can dirty. I even had to SHOW him the trash can to convince him why I needed a bag. When he finally saw the empty trash can, he gave us a plastic bag, and left an extra one inside the trash can. He didn’t seem too pleased that I was trying to help protect the hotel’s assets, he just looks as if I disturbed his night. The shower head took some time to get use to too. Normally shower heads will be placed at a slight angle, but the shower heads in our room shoots straight at a 90 degree angle, which was quite hard to use coz the water will be shooting directly at your chest, and you would need to kneel down a bit to wash your hair, otherwise you would need to hold the shower head with one hand, while washing with the other hand. It’s a bit hard to explain, so I took some photos to show. But you will know what I mean when you stay at the hotel. Anyway, overall the stay was still very pleasant. I will definitely choose Forza again the next time I visit Fukuoka. Thank you Forza.

GGuest UserHad a great experience. Check-in was done via a self-service machine. The front desk was manned by two 'dinosaurs' (a playful way to describe the staff, possibly implying they were a bit slow or old-fashioned, but in a charming way) who could speak four languages. There was a slight hiccup with the booking process as I had reserved two rooms under one order, but a quick call for human assistance resolved it promptly. The space is very efficiently utilized, and all the amenities are from Refa. Luggage storage was super convenient. The shower pressure was excellent, and there are many convenience stores nearby. It's not far from the subway, and you step out right onto the Hakata Canal, which offers a lovely view.
