The hotel is perfect — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are great and very helpful, and the amenities provided are excellent. The location is ideal, with convenience stores (konbini) just a short walk away, making everything easy and accessible. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for two nights right after landing in Fukuoka, and even as a solo traveler, the room felt incredibly cramped. I quickly switched hotels on the third day. The room was tiny and dated, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a guesthouse from the last century. You basically stepped out of the door and were immediately at the bed. My suitcase could only perch precariously on a folding luggage rack. The cleanliness was mediocre. The bathroom seemed quite clean and looked like it had been thoroughly scrubbed, but the room walls were very dirty with black marks. It wasn't until I opened my suitcase and its wheels rubbed against the wall that I realized where those black marks came from. Even though it was a non-smoking floor, the air in the room wasn't great. After just one night, my tonsils became inflamed. Those with sensitivities should definitely avoid this place. Toiletries and bathrobes were self-service in the lobby downstairs. The small packets of toner and lotion were surprisingly good, and the compressed exfoliating mitt was also quite useful. Drinking water wasn't provided, but there was a self-service laundry room. The hotel's location is pretty good, though. Le Labo is directly across the street, and there are many trendy shops and restaurants nearby. Tenjin shopping district is also within walking distance. It was quite cheap when I booked it, so I won't complain too much. It's suitable for backpackers.

I had a comfortable stay! It was good that the toilet and the bathroom were separate. However, the drainage in the bathroom was not good and it took several minutes for the water to drain away. Maybe the drain was clogged? For example, hair gets tangled up in it, right? Other than that, the air conditioning in the room was convenient and there were no problems, and the location was good.

This accommodation offers incredible value for money! It's an older Japanese-style hotel. First, let's talk about the room. The price is very affordable compared to hotels in Tenjin and Hakata, and the room size is quite large for Japan. The tatami mat area can sleep two people, and there's also a double bed, so it's more than enough space for three guests. You can spread out your belongings on the tatami. There are extra linens in the cupboard. Next, for transportation, you get off at Ohori Park Station on the K Airport Line. It's an easy five to six-minute walk. We bought a one-day subway pass, and it paid for itself with just two rides a day. Living next to the park means the environment is excellent – quiet and natural. We could stroll through Maizuru Park and Ohori Park anytime, enjoying the ginkgo and maple leaves daily. Every day, the walk to the subway station offered the most natural and beautiful scenery. Finally, let's discuss the food. This place includes breakfast, and the rice balls 🍙 are delicious, wrapped in huge bamboo shoot husks. Coffee is free 🆓 during breakfast and check-in times, with various coffee drinks available, making you feel right at home. Everything was great. It's perfect for budget-conscious travelers. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing is a bit lacking.

I've been staying at this hotel for over a decade, which is hard to believe! When I first came to Japan over ten years ago, this was the cheapest option, costing around 200 yen. It's still pretty much the same price now. I particularly like their Japanese-style rooms because you can roll around on the futon without falling off. 😂😂😂 The building is quite old, and the decor is a bit dated, but it's always well-maintained and clean. I love the huge, old-fashioned AC unit mounted on the wall; it's almost silent but surprisingly effective at both cooling and heating. The bathroom is tiny, sometimes it's even a bit difficult to squat down on the toilet. However, the amenities provided are quite good, like the full POLA product line. The location is also very convenient. If you like strolling through Ohori Park, it's just a short walk away. Tsurumai Park, a great spot for cherry blossom viewing, is also very close. As for breakfast, it used to be a selection of homemade traditional Japanese dishes. Now, it's been simplified to just a bread and a cup of coffee, so I don't bother with it anymore. Given that the price hasn't changed in years while living costs have steadily increased, I can understand that they're likely cutting costs.

The room was generally clean and tidy, with a normal size for this type of hotel and a practical layout. The bedding was comfortable, leading to good sleep quality, and the soundproofing was decent, so I wasn't disturbed much at night. All the in-room facilities, including the air conditioning, hot water, water pressure, and Wi-Fi, worked perfectly fine for daily use. The bathroom was very clean, and the wet/dry separation design was convenient. The only minor drawback was that some of the facilities seemed a bit dated (or: the room lighting was a bit dim / there weren't enough power outlets, depending on the actual situation), but this didn't significantly impact the overall stay. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for short stays or business trips.

Strange hotel / apartment, it’s very large and spacious but not much to fill the space and doesn’t have a very homely or comfy vibe. Rooms were clean though and there was everything you needed from an apartment. Staff at reception were very welcoming but didn’t seem to have the same urgency to help as other places I’ve visited in Japan. The location was fantastic for our sightseeing and sporting needs. We had a short walk to the Fukuoka Dome to watch baseball and short walks to other sightseeing spots, including the beach. Public transport was also very close by and convenient.

Amazing
TtmlamThis year my wife and I went to Fukuoka for travel and celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. We’ve stayed in 4 hotels, among which 1 Fukuoka was the best one. The hotel room was very grand with a balcony and an amazing city view. Location was very convenient as it was very close to the metro station. The hotel service was also outstanding. To give a surprise to my wife, I asked the hotel via emails to prepare an anniversary cake for us. The hotel staff brought it our room and help taking photos for us. I also need to mention the breakfast of the hotel. Their breakfast should be the best for all hotels I’d ever stayed in Japan. On the last day, I left some cash in the safe and checked out. Fortunately, the hotel staff sent me emails and asked me to come back to hotel. Million thanks for their kind service and help!

GGuest UserThis hotel is super conveniently located right outside Setsudaijinja metro station. It's about a 1.1km walk to Tenjin, and Canal City is even closer, just 200 meters away. The location is absolutely fantastic! As expected for a Japanese hotel, it was clean and hygienic. Plus, the shower pressure was great and very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area – truly excellent 👍 The only minor thing is that it's not a bed, but a mattress on the floor, which is quite low. For someone who's a bit heavier, it can be a bit of a struggle, haha 😄

DDayazhouI stayed here for ten days to enjoy the cherry blossoms, witnessing the entire process from their initial bloom to full splendor in Fukuoka. I was extremely pleased with everything, from the hotel lobby to the room, and from the service to the food. It's conveniently located within walking distance of Hakata Station. The cherry blossoms at Tochoji Temple nearby were magnificent when in full bloom (April 202***). The breakfast was particularly delicious, especially the vegetable salad, the made-to-order sashimi rice bowl, and the desserts. Perhaps because the bathroom and washroom were quite spacious, taking up a lot of the area, the 21-square-meter room felt small. We could just about open two small suitcases, but a larger one would have been difficult!

Yyanyan2100The room was indeed quite small, which was a surprise given this was one of my 10+ trips to Japan. I specifically chose this hotel because it was recommended as a 'premium' option on Ctrip. The only real upside is the location, which is excellent, but the value for money isn't great if that's all you're considering. I initially thought the hotel's three eco-friendly cleaning policies were commendable. On the first day, I opted for just a towel change. However, on the second day, I clearly selected the full room cleaning option, but when I returned to the hotel after 7 PM, I found the room hadn't been cleaned at all, and the trash bags hadn't been replaced. It was completely overlooked. When I called the front desk, they said they were off-duty and could only replace towels and provide bottled water. We checked out the next day anyway.

GGuest UserPros: We had two adults and two children, and after confirming by phone, they added two more beds for us. This was truly the most mediocre hotel of our trip, and we stayed for two nights. The disposable toiletries were especially bad. The hot spring had only one pool, and it was packed with Koreans, which made the experience really unpleasant. We checked in on January 1st and tried to cancel on the 30th to book the Hilton near the Dome, but they wouldn't let us cancel. Oh well, I guess it was an experience. They couldn't arrange hotel parking for us either of the two days, even though it didn't seem like there were that many cars. I guess the parking lot must be small. The hotel's location is actually very good; it's a convenient 5-10 minute drive to the Ichiran main store, Hakata Bridge, and Nakasu. There are also several shopping districts nearby, which is nice. If you're looking for a good stay experience, I don't recommend this place. But if convenience is your priority, it's not bad.

AAnonymous UserLike all the other reviews here, Forza’s location can’t be beaten. Its literally less than 1 min walk from the airport bus stop. The popular Hakata Station is also within a minute walk. The location alone earns the hotel a 5 star. Checking in and out of hotel was also an ease. The staff at the counter was helpful and friendly. A bag of toiletries was also prepared for my 8 yr old with kiddy slippers, which was much appreciated. The room was decent size, we chose the 豪華雙人房 (19 sq m I think?) with a mini couch area – perfect for backpacks, a window, and a portable massage mat. I loved the magnets that we can stick to the door to let the cleaners know whether or not our room needs to be cleaned. What’s more is that there is an option to choose “Take out trash and change towels only”. This is a really thoughtful option, because we really don’t need our room to be made up every day. And it’s perfect that we can just have the trash taken out and towels changed. I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the hotel rooms after reading some of the reviews on here, especially when I have a kid with me. I don’t want her to get sick from the germs in the room. But to my surprise, the room was quite decent, atleast I didn’t see any visible dustballs or dirty air con ventilators. Maybe because the hotel already took action to clean all the rooms and air con vents after reading some of the reviews here about dirty air con vents? I took a photo of our room air con vents for parents to take a look =) The air purifier in the room was also very comforting. We stayed in Forza for 6 days and none of us got sick =D For the first 2 days, I did smell a bit of a urine smell when you kneel close to the carpet/toilet. It was a slight faint smell. By the 3rd day, there wasn’t much noticeable smell anymore, not sure if it was the air purifier that helped or if we got use to it. Hahaha. On one of the nights that we returned to the hotel, we noticed that the cleaners had forgotten to put a trash bag back into the trash can. So I called reception and told them. The suited man that came with a trash bag didn’t seem too friendly. He looked like he either didn’t want to be there, didn’t know what he needed to do, or that we are trying to cheat him of a plastic bag. Anyway, I had to explain that I need a trash bag because I didn’t want to make the trash can dirty. I even had to SHOW him the trash can to convince him why I needed a bag. When he finally saw the empty trash can, he gave us a plastic bag, and left an extra one inside the trash can. He didn’t seem too pleased that I was trying to help protect the hotel’s assets, he just looks as if I disturbed his night. The shower head took some time to get use to too. Normally shower heads will be placed at a slight angle, but the shower heads in our room shoots straight at a 90 degree angle, which was quite hard to use coz the water will be shooting directly at your chest, and you would need to kneel down a bit to wash your hair, otherwise you would need to hold the shower head with one hand, while washing with the other hand. It’s a bit hard to explain, so I took some photos to show. But you will know what I mean when you stay at the hotel. Anyway, overall the stay was still very pleasant. I will definitely choose Forza again the next time I visit Fukuoka. Thank you Forza.
