Right outside the hotel is the MRT station, which is super convenient! This is my second time staying here, and the hotel is as busy as ever, mostly with tourists. The lobby is always lively every time I visit, and the restaurant is also fantastic. The Sichuan restaurant upstairs is perfect for me!

Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor, and the service is excellent, with a good location to boot. However, the hotel's biggest drawback is its outdated facilities. My room didn't have a window, and in a twin room, only one bed had a bedside light switch, and neither had power outlets at the headboard, which was quite inconvenient.

Amazing location right in the heart of Taipei. MRT (Subway) right outside the entrance. Starbucks across the road and MacDonalds just down around the corner. The team up there are so inviting and they allow early luggage drop off before 3pm. This allows you to go and explore without worrying about taking the luggage everywhere.
Due to being right up the top 2 floors you have such beautiful views of Taipei day and night.
Smokers area just around the corner from reception.

The hotel is located in the center of Taipei,
walking distance to subway and bus stops. Below the road in front of the hotel is an underground mall, also in the streets behind are reasonably priced restaurants and bars.
The hotel staff were very helpful. Our only complaint would be sound coming from the neighbouring rooms bathroom, The reception did offer an alternative room.

However the room furniture is aging.
the bath tub height was high and need to slowly climb in to take a shower, can easily slip and not recommended for elderly people.
need to call housekeeping to add more toilet paper and request they wash or change the used tea cups
liquid soap and shampoos bottle pump is hard to press
worse is the TV system does not work. when watching TV channels... after 2 min it returns to the main page.
also there is a message that a phone wants to connect to the TV... I assume from another adjacent room.

I booked their standard room, which was perfectly adequate for one person. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the toiletries were excellent. Overall, it's a great find if you're looking for a quiet haven in the city. Plus, there are tons of fantastic food options and two Sogo department stores all within walking distance.

Staying at this hotel for several times already. Love the location, a lot of restaurants and shopping in the area.
But it feels like breakfast is getting worse every year, rooms could have been cleaner, they really need some general cleaning because if you look anywhere not on top, it's really dusty.

Really great! Room was well designed, very clean and the location was perfect for a more chill, local experience with easy access to metro and bus lines for exploring the city. Tons of great cafes, bars and restaurants in the area that were accessible without feeling touristy.
Amenities in this hotel are exceptional, better than what you’d usually find at a typical old 5-star. Amazing selection of snacks and drinks (including local craft beer!!) from the FREE mini bar. Wireless phone charger to borrow, tons of wonderful smelling room and linen sprays, shoe cleaning drawer, bluetooth speaker, smart toilet, you name it. Make sure to look around in all the drawers.
Such a thoughtfully curated experience. Highly recommend!

It does the trick for sleeping and showering, but there are many small flaws that add up. The privacy curtains for the beds are in 2 pieces, which means there's always a gap wide enough to not really have privacy. The hooks in the showers are too close to the shower, so your clothes get wet. The toilets are quite old so you can't flush toilet paper. The WiFi was also not working for 2 of the days I stayed. Apart from small things like these, the staff is very kind and helpful, and useful amenities are provided, like a hot/cold water dispenser, laundry facilities, a fairly large locker (easily fit my suitcase), and luggage storage. I may not choose this place again if returning to Taipei in the future.

The room is spacious and the 1.8-meter bed is very comfortable. The location is excellent, with convenient and fast access to public transportation right outside. Downstairs is the Liaoning Street Night Market, offering a wide variety of delicious food. Highly recommended!

HHillary ShihEverything is good except they have specific floor accesibility for the elevator. Therefore need to spare out some time. Also, their check in time is 5pm instead of regular 2 or 3pm, I didn’t notice it until I reach there at 4pm. Their socket have Type G power sockets, which are the same British standard three-rectangular-pin outlets as in the UK, Malaysia and Singapore. Very convenient 👍 Big tv screen as well and provided water bottle

XXilinnnnGreat location, like 30m walk to one of the exit of Taipei main station (exit Y13). Simple buffet breakfast with dimsum and toast. I booked a 4 bed dorm, one bathroom is attached in the dorm room. Comfortable bed, feel firm and new.
Overall quite nice stay for a budget hostel with this value and location, not much to complain.

SShuxiaThe location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

Also because it's basement room, there is a constant musky smell emitting from the toilet and filled up the room pretty fast. Have request for a change of room but it is similar issue. Overall it's a comfortable stay near XMD but the room smell is pretty bad.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights).
The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient.
Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies.
The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened.
Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations.

Cleanliness - It's clean, every morning, towels were changed, looking forward for beddings to be arranged too.
Service - Good Service. Easy to request additional pillow, umbrella etc.
Facilities are good too. Have Hot & Cold Shower, Have Blower, Have heater and hangers too.

AAnonymous UserThe room is very spacious! I was a bit bummed to not see at least one hanger in the locker, though. It's common to have at least one when the locker has the possibility to. Otherwise, remove it. As I was on the 6th floor, I was also a bit uncomfortable about leaving my room and having to walk past the reception to go to the bathroom area. But I understand that hostels around Taipei Main Station have to deal with the buildings' architecture. For the price, the location and the length of my stay, it wasn't entirely problematic.
