"It’s a quite and convenient environment compared with others near MRT stations in Taipei especially popular areas. The breakfast is delicate and the cocktail is amazing . Average speaking , I recommend here to stay who want a to travel Taipei as well as enjoy a feeling like stay home"

"The location is excellent — the Daan railway station is right in front of the hotel, and there are several breakfast spots just next door. We stayed here for a business trip, and the facilities were perfect for work discussions on the facilities floor. The staff were very friendly, and amenities like toothbrushes and combs were available for free upon request at the counter. The bathroom was stocked with Cha Tzu Tang shampoo and body wash, which we really liked. Overall, the room was clean and well-maintained."

"The hotel is amazing with absolutely stunning views, truly a feast for the eyes! Everything inside is nice, clean, and comfortable, making the stay very enjoyable. The only small issue is that the building is a bit tricky to find, but once you’re there, it’s completely worth it. Highly recommended!"

"This is a great hotel. Location is nice (around 10-15mins walk from the train station). Room is large enough and view is nice. Toilet has no bidet and no fancy toilet bowl buttons but very tidy. The best part is the breakfast. It has good spread and makes the price all worth it. They were also nice enough to keep our luggages even after we checked out so we could go to tourists spot and went back in the evening."

GGuest UserMy 2nd time staying here. Very convenient location, especially if you plan to take the bus from Taipei Bus Station to the airport or to other cities. I had some issues with the online staff’s attitude (the staff was a bit rude regarding my request), but the on-site staff was actually very friendly and helpful. I booked a 6-bed dorm and was lucky enough to have the whole room to myself on that day. New facilities, clean hostel, clean bathroom and good-sized room. Will stay there again.

GGuest UserThe room was certainly small, beds were comfortable, and well maintained, making the stay good. The washrooms were very clean, which added to the overall comfort. Breakfast had ample options, including both Western and traditional choices, catering to different tastes. The hotel’s location is excellent, right by Wanhua Station and very close to the MRT, making travel extremely convenient. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the self check-in option was smooth and efficient.

GGuest UserI had a great stay at Papa Whale Hotel in Ximending, Taipei! Before my trip, I emailed them with a few questions, and the staff responded promptly every time. When I arrived a bit early before check-in, I could comfortably wait in the lobby, which was really nice and cozy. The staff were super helpful and spoke English very well. The hotel’s location is fantastic—right in Ximending, close to the night market and within walking distance to convenience stores, the MRT, and lots of great spots. It’s a popular place for tourists, so it tends to be fully booked often. I also opted for the breakfast buffet, which was really convenient. They had a good variety of dishes, including some nice shabu and other options, so I didn’t have to go out hunting for food in the morning—definitely worth it. The price overall was quite reasonable and good value for what you get. As for the room, I chose a basement room, which was actually quiet and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. The bathroom was nice, and the lighting was good. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room every day and always asked for permission politely if I was still inside—really considerate. While the room wasn’t super large, it was modern and clean. If I needed anything extra, the staff were always happy to help. It’s a short walk to the main Ximending walking street, and once you get used to it, it’s really convenient. Plus, there are lots of nice spots for photos if you like taking pictures. Overall, I slept really well and had a great experience. I’d definitely stay at Papa Whale again if I have the chance! 🩵

GGuest UserPerfect location, transportation is easy by bus's to the nearest train station or city centre. The hotel staff's were helpful, the room is clean, big, nice toilet and bathroom. The washbasin bottle trap not allowing water to escape quickly.
