"The B&B is located in the scenic area, which is convenient for sightseeing. We arrived at night and called the B&B owner, who quickly came to show us the way. The room was very clean. I forgot to take pictures of the room. I booked a family suite with a loft and a small balcony. The pictures I took were the views from the balcony. When I left, the proprietress gave me a bag of Suzhou pastries. She was very enthusiastic. It was my first time staying in a B&B there, and I also saw the night view. There were also few people visiting in the morning, so it was a good experience!"

"Great stay. Very good location with a mall right behind the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only area of improvement would be the doorman services on the first day we arrived. This is the first time at a luxury hotel which I’ve stayed in that when we arrived the doorman made no effort to open the taxi door or help us with our luggage. "This is a great B&B with unique and stylish decor. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and my kids said they liked it better than the Marriott in Shanghai. The location is also great, right by a tributary river, very quiet. It's just a few minutes' walk to the bustling Shuangqiao Bridge and close to the boat pier. The breakfast was delicious and hearty, and the two front desk ladies were warm and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this place."

"Stayed one more night and ate the black truffle chicken chop noodles at Su Noodle House. Tea was served as soon as we sat down. We ordered the red soup noodles with Pu'er soft-boiled eggs. The chicken chop tasted quite good when cut. Su Noodle House is on the first floor of Huayu. It is very quiet inside. There is also Suzhou Pingtan in the store. The environment is also good. I recommend everyone to eat there (see the 6th to 8th pictures for details).
Whether it is a holiday or Huayu, for the safety of the guests, takeout is not allowed to be delivered upstairs. They are all placed in the takeout cabinet downstairs of Huayu. It is also very convenient to take it. This is not a big problem.
Because the twin room I stayed in only had a stool and no sofa, I asked the room service to send a stool (the last picture), and we drank water very quickly, so we asked the room service to send water several times. They were very friendly and the auntie would deliver it immediately. I will stay here again next time if I have the chance, and I will also try to stay in Huayu."

"The room was quite spacious and very clean. The mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. It also came with a bathtub, though I wished the shower stall itself was a bit larger. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the beef and chicken were delicious. The plain congee with pork floss was a wonderful nostalgic treat, reminding me of my childhood. There was some construction going on next door, but the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs."

The hotel is a standard star business hotel with a distinguished and calm lobby. This is my second time staying here.
The lady at the reception desk was still smiling. When she handed me the door key, she introduced me to the location of the restaurant for breakfast. They specially set up the ”** Room” to satisfy the current residents' hobby of poker and gambling in their spare time. This is more in line with the times. Advance together.
The hotel's service is timely, accurate, and thinks of what you need. This is why I highly recommend it.
I left my PAD in the restaurant while eating. After contacting me, I was told that it could be sent back to my room.
When I returned to the room at night, I not only received the lost and found notebook. I was also given a little surprise: the room attendant polished my muddy leather shoes until they were shiny.
Breakfast is also relatively rich, and the fresh meat is more delicious."

Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe.
The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes.
The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained.
Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out.
For the price, this homestay offered excellent value.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village.

HHalf Gwailo ABCOverall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour.
The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat.
So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process.
You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance.
I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom.
There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers.
The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs.
We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy.
When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

SShanghaifeixiangdexiaomajuAn absolutely delightful B&B experience! The room was spotless and well-equipped. Its riverside location, nestled between the scenic area's entrance archway and the Twin Bridges, made it incredibly convenient for exploring, shopping, and sightseeing. Plus, it was wonderfully quiet at night.
In the evenings, I sat by the river on a comfortable lounge chair provided by the landlady (she even thoughtfully included mosquito coils!). I enjoyed a smoke and sipped tea in the cool breeze. The landlady's attentiveness was remarkable; she repeatedly offered to bring a thermos of hot water. Watching the tourist boats pass by, observing the diverse expressions of the visitors, and listening to the melodic songs of the sculling boatmen, I simply zoned out – it was incredibly relaxing and blissful!
Before I left, the owner even gifted me some small snacks. Having seen many other B&Bs and guesthouses while touring the ancient town, I can confidently say that after comparing them all, I'll definitely choose this one again for my next visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.

GGuest UserWhen my best friend and I visited Zhouzhuang, we considered several guesthouses and ultimately chose Mulan, which is conveniently located near the Shen Hall ticket office. Its location is truly superb; once you're past the entrance, it's right in the heart of the ancient town, making it incredibly easy to get around. They also have an adorable little Corgi and a kitten – so cute! The owner, a lovely young lady, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. She proactively provided directions to the guesthouse beforehand and even met us at the entrance. The guesthouse's small garden is also beautiful and perfect for photos. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Zhouzhuang.

CChenThis inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

GGuest UserLocation was perfect and also my initial consideration, right at the center of city. No much to expect except for those standard items example - service, cleanliness or comfortability therefore to my surprise, the rooms were cosy and clean (guessed it’s because they were newly renovated or not long ago) but, but except for some minor hiccups example - air conditioning controls (remote and wall mounted) + room WiFi needs pre-logging on before connectable (used my phone hotspot to fix problem)! Everything was fine until the next day slightly before checking out, they cut off my room electricity abruptly half an hour before checkout time! Imagine if you’re still using the bathroom! This needs serious attention as I have never encounter such scenarios before, in my entire life experience of travelings and staying in hotels. Never. Of course my booking came with the “late checkout privilege” so why the rush? Oh and they did offer an upgrade of room (when checking in) but, but with additional charges! Wondering if these misunderstandings were “intentional” or caused by miscommunication between the hotel management and platform, a sales technique? Please clarify: rewards enjoyable/ available after booking, if possible thank you
