Hotels with Kitchenette in Beppu

"The front desk staff were very friendly, and one gentleman spoke Chinese. I wasn't sure if parking spaces could be reserved or if it was first-come, first-served, but the front desk told me how many spots were left. It's 500 yen per night, and if there's no space next door, they also have an arrangement with Don Quijote (a one-minute walk away). The hotel itself is very new and clean, and there's even a table for dining. The washing machine is very convenient, and they even provide laundry detergent. The dryer downstairs is 100 yen for 10 minutes, and you can exchange money at the front desk. The only downside is that the smoking area is to the left of the main entrance, so if the wind is blowing that way, you'll smell smoke when coming and going. I wonder if they could move it."

"While not cheap, the quality of the room, half-board dining, and hotel facilities met expectations for the price. The room was perfect, featuring a walk-in closet, a living room with sea views, a private hot spring bath, a Japanese-style room, and a bedroom. The dinner quality was excellent, and we were served by staff who spoke Chinese, so the meal explanations were very detailed. For breakfast, we had to take a golf cart to a sister hotel next door, which was a minor inconvenience, but the food quality was still good. The only area for improvement was the hotel's pick-up and drop-off service. Unlike traditional onsen hotels, the staff didn't help us with our luggage to the car or put it in the trunk, nor did they help clean our car's rearview mirrors (I'm not sure why, but after spending a night in the outdoor parking lot, the rearview mirrors were quite dirty). This was the only minor drawback in an otherwise almost perfect stay."

"Beppu is an excellent choice. The accommodation is located on the upper floor of a shop. The space is very, very large. The indoor equipment and materials are all high-end goods, and all the necessary facilities for life are available. The industrial style interior decoration does not give you the feeling of staying in a hotel, but rather a home feeling. If you can only check in after 6 o'clock, remember to ask the boss for the password required for the check-in procedure. This is only the password for entering the store for the first time. There is an iPad on the counter inside. Follow the procedure displayed on the iPad to check in. Then a password to enter your room will be displayed. This password is also the password to enter the store later. Parking can be done in parking lot 1 or 2 according to the map provided by the store, and there are ample parking spaces."

"Room: neat clean space. lights and Aircon . the area between the beds is very spacious and there are large lockers so plenty of space to store your stuff . Bathroom: two normal showers and a large shower room where you can rent a bath hammock thing. three vanity sinks in this bathroom, then there's a toilet room with three toilets and three sinks, so lots of options. shampoo conditioner and body wash supplied. decent hairdryer. washing machine 300 yen, then dryer 100 yen per 15 mins. Security: pin code on dormitory. Amenities: there is a kitchen space and you can also order food from the 5th floor of the tower to the hostel lounge. Location: about ten minute walk from the station. plenty of eating places and shops nearby. there is a bus stop right outside. Other: might be useful if there were bins in the dormitory rather than having to go back and forth between the lounge. hooks in the bed area might also be useful e.g. for hanging your towel, although I suppose you could put it in your locker"

"After reading other reviews, they were all overwhelmingly positive. Having stayed in numerous hotels, the ANA InterContinental Beppu definitely ranks in my top three. First, let's talk about transportation: Beppu Station is quite small. Remember to exit from the West Exit (this was told to us by the hotel shuttle driver; apparently, many international guests wait for a long time at the East Exit only to find out it's the West Exit). The hotel is about a twenty-minute drive away. Next, the service: What was really surprising is that more than half of the hotel staff are non-Japanese. Every single foreign staff member spoke excellent Japanese, with perfect mastery of honorifics. Finally, the room facilities: The onsen (hot spring bath) is small but beautiful. The infinity pool isn't very deep, making it suitable for children. It was still a bit chilly in March, but luckily, there's a warm pool nearby where you can soak for a while. The restaurant offers great value for money. Children aged 6-12 get half price, which is around 2,700 yen. In the evening, there's an all-you-can-drink option for adults at 5,000 yen, including sparkling wine, house wine, shochu, and beer."

"Excellent location with convenient transportation. The place is clean and right by the sea, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shopping malls. The staff are polite and welcoming, the environment is quiet, and it's close to attractions with good facilities."

"My husband and I stayed 3 nights here in late May 2026. And wow - this place is super impressive! This was by far the best hotel / resort we’ve stayed at during our Japan trip (nearly 3 months of traveling central and southern Japan). The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, luxurious. You have your own private indoor onsen, outdoor onsen, cold plunge tub, sauna and if in the summer, your own private pool. You have a full size kitchen, full western style living room with a TV, full Japanese style living room, multiple toilets and a beautiful bathroom. And a beautiful view overlooking Beppu below! The food is absolutely delicious. The staff and their service are professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming. It’s close to the 7 hells of Beppu attractions so it makes for an easy day trip too. And if you’re looking for a public onsen experience, its sister property is a 5 minute walk from this resort. It’s a newer establishment without many reviews yet, but take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed. We truly loved our stay here and we will definitely be back."

"The lock on the first-floor main door was broken, posing a significant security concern. There are only four rooms in total, and no elevator; luggage had to be carried up the stairs to the second floor. Our room on the second floor had a window without curtains, so we immediately took photos and emailed customer service for assistance. Customer service replied that there was an iron gate on the outside that we could open, so the response was quite fast. One of the sinks was clogged and leaking slowly. The bathroom heater and humidifier were very dusty, but we were able to clean the dust off the heater ourselves. The room was spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped with two IH stoves, making cooking very fast. Parking was free, but a 3-5 minute walk away."

"It is an old ryokan. The bathroom also needs to be equipped with hot and cold water. The size of the room is satisfactory. It's very cold, but you can control the heater. Although it is a weekend, the price is too expensive and you have to pay a 1000 yen hot spring tax even if you do not use the hot spring when you check out."

"The staff is friendly and speaks English well; the place is quiet and cozy, and the location is perfect. It’s almost a distance to Beppu tourist attractions, especially the Beppu tower and Beppu JR stations. The hostel is also located near the port area, where you can relax and take a break. The hostel also has a cafe, a spacious kitchen, and an artificial hot spring. Although some amenities are not included, you have to purchase them at the front desk, the accommodation cost is relatively cheap, so that’s okay. It's a good thing I have my own towels and other amenities. I will definitely be back here when I return."
