"I initially thought this hotel was close to Interlaken, but it's actually a 20-minute drive away. The loft room was spacious, but the stairs were quite steep, which could be an issue for children and the elderly. However, the stunning views easily made up for any drawbacks."

"Overall, this hotel is quite good. The location is very convenient, close to the city center, and surrounded by many restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and the beds are comfortable, suitable for extended stays. Although some areas are slightly dated, the hotel is clean and tidy overall. The hotel service is also excellent; the front desk staff are friendly, and the check-in and check-out processes are efficient."

"Great Value & Perfect Base for Interlaken – Hotel Essential by DORITStayed at Hotel Essential by DORIT, it was exactly what we needed for exploring Interlaken.Location: 10/10. You’re 3 min walk from Interlaken West station and right by Lake Thun. Super easy to catch trains to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, or hop on a boat cruise. Tons of restaurants, Coop, and cafés within a 5 min walk. You can’t beat it for convenience.Room: Clean, modern, and smartly designed. We had a Double Room and it made great use of space — comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and a surprisingly good shower with strong water pressure. Not huge, but perfect for travelers who are out all day. The views of the mountains from upper floors are a bonus.Cleanliness: Spotless. Housekeeping did a great job daily, and the whole property feels fresh and new. Breakfast: Simple but quality. Good coffee, fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast room is small but cozy, with big windows. For the price, it’s more than fair. Service: Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly + efficient. They gave solid tips for hikes and printed our train tickets when we asked. The self-check-in kiosk is also handy if you arrive late.Vibe: Minimalist Swiss design with a boutique feel. No pool or spa, but that’s not why you stay here — you’re here to be out in the Jungfrau region all day. The common lounge area is great for planning routes or chilling with a coffee.Minor notes: Walls are a bit thin — we could hear doors closing at night. Also no elevator, so pack light if you’re on a higher floor. Street parking is limited, but the hotel helped us sort a public lot nearby.Overall: For the location, cleanliness, and price point, Hotel Essential by DORIT is hard to beat in Interlaken. It’s unpretentious, modern, and lets you spend your money on experiences instead of the room. "Location The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Interlaken Ost train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just about 100 meters away. This is very convenient for excursions in the region. Room The room was beautifully decorated in an appealing Baroque style, making it cozy and elegant. We also received a nice upgrade to a room with a balcony, which made our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a drawback: the silicone joints in the shower showed mold. This is unacceptable in a 4-star hotel. Staff / Reception At check-in, Pierre truly impressed us: he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented. The rest of the staff was generally attentive and friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unsure and not always entirely competent. Language skills were an issue: German is only spoken to a limited extent, and Swiss German not at all, which sometimes complicated communication. Breakfast The breakfast, unfortunately, was very disappointing and did not match the quality expected of a 4-star hotel. • There was no declaration or allergen labeling for the food. • The products offered seemed cheap and stale: scrambled eggs from a carton, hard pretzels from the day before, and pastries and bread that were consistently low-quality frozen goods. On the positive side, the reception actively asked for our feedback after breakfast. After our honest comments, something was brought to our room as an apology. Unfortunately, this included some already moldy berries, which negated the good gesture. Overall Impression Despite the beautiful central location, the generally very nice room with a balcony upgrade, and especially Pierre's outstanding service, our stay was overall disappointing. The mold in the shower joints and the low-quality breakfast left a negative impression. For the price and star category, we would have expected significantly more cleanliness and quality. Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel."

"No elevator, which was a real struggle, and they never brought the towels I requested. There's no front desk, so you have to call on the intercom and wait for someone to come. For luggage storage, you have to go to another hotel about a 10-minute walk away."

"The apartment has beautiful mountain views from two sides, offering a lovely experience of Interlaken. The breakfast options are limited, but overall the quality is good. The restaurant staff are very helpful, and the reception staff are extremely friendly and supportive. Special thanks to Christian and Hadeer — their warm welcome made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, and because of them we decided to book this hotel. Their kindness and the smiles they gave us every time we met truly touched our hearts. Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable stay."

"First of all, they provide breakfast so I saved a lot of money and I could cook so I saved a lot of money. The only regret is that there is no refrigerator in the room, but even if there was one in the shared kitchen, no one touched it so it was okay."
