"Getting to the hotel from the central station requires a rather long bus ride, and buses only come once an hour, so if you miss one, you'll have a long wait. On the plus side, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and you can see Lake Thun from the hotel balcony, which offers lovely views. The front desk service was professional, warm, and attentive. However, the room facilities are outdated, and the bathroom had a persistent sewer smell at night. Even closing the bathroom door didn't help; we had to leave the balcony door open to be able to sleep."

"This is an old-fashioned hotel with over a hundred years of history in the area. It's a combination of two classical hotel buildings, a modern central lobby and restaurant built more recently, and a two-story modern apartment-style accommodation at the back. The two classical hotel buildings are Carlton and Europe. Their interiors have been largely optimized for modern needs. The current hotel owners, while renovating, had to adhere to government regulations for preserving the antique structure. However, the rest of the amenities have been modernized as much as possible, with original wood flooring used for repairs and replacements. Overall, it's a very good hotel! Breakfast is buffet-style, but the selection is essentially a Swiss-European breakfast: yogurt, bread and jam, juice, hot tea and coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pan-fried shredded potatoes, fruit, and various cheeses and cold cuts. For tourists not accustomed to Western-style meals, it might be a bit challenging. The restaurant also offers additional egg dishes or other options for an extra charge – but you have to pay more! The location is very convenient. Right outside is Interlaken Ost station, the starting point for various attractions in the Alps. You can even take a boat from here to the small town of Brienz, or to Iseltwald, famous for the Korean drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Both the pier and the small castle are stunning scenic spots. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a free bus pass, allowing you to take buses to explore various towns. This is different from the mountain trains and cable cars, which require extra payment to go up the mountains quickly. Generally, most attractions stop going up the mountain after 5 PM, so it's best to start early in the morning to make good use of your time! However, this hotel still has its drawbacks. For example, while the water supply is comprehensive, the hot and cold water stability is very poor. Turning on the hot water can be scalding, and sometimes it suddenly turns cold mid-shower, then becomes super hot again. The showering experience is quite subpar! Each guest room uses a classical keyhole lock for opening and closing the door. There's no modern double-bolt lock; you have to lock the door from the inside with the door key. The upside is that once locked from the inside, the keyhole is filled by the key, preventing anyone from picking the lock from the outside. When you go out and lock up, the heavy key can be left in the mail slot at the front desk, or entrusted to the front desk for safekeeping, in a classic manner! Most importantly, this hotel does not allow children! According to the owner's vision, he wants this hotel to be adult-focused, allowing busy people to enjoy their own time while traveling and recharging, rather than having to take care of children during their vacation. This way, adults can truly live for themselves. Therefore, this hotel does not allow guests under 16 years old. If you plan to book with children, please look for accommodation elsewhere – it's better for both parties! Overall, this is a good place for mature individuals to stay, perfect for those focused on enjoying mountain excursions. Who wouldn't want to return to their hotel immediately after coming down the mountain to rest?"

"We booked a room with shared toilet but paid more to changed to a room with private toilet. The room is excellent because we got the view of the mountains everyday. Was contemplating to stay between Interlaken Ost or Interlaken West, but i was travelling with an elderly so this is the best option. Interlaken OST station is a v good transport base for most places in Switzerland. Interlaken West is convenient too but u'd need to take a short bus ride down to the main station. There's alot of buses that are relatively frequent. However as my mother cant walk far, this is the best coz it is very walkable to the train station. There is a lift to all the floors and luggage storage is available. Our included Breakfast is good (meat, cheese, bread, eggs, yoghurt, conflakes, tea, coffee, etc). There's a dinner set menu (need to pay of course) tt changes every night. The food is food and is relatively cheaper if u have the set meal of the day. Would stay here again. There's a big Coop opposite also. However if u'd like more shopping... Interlaken West has more shops but they usually close abt 7pm. There's dinner places there that closes abt 11pm. If you're thinking if where to stay, i think if u have an elderly that cant walk much, Interlaken Ost."

"Stayed at twin deluxe room which is newly renovated and on the higher floors. Chose this specific twin room because of its size. Pros: 1. Hotel staff were friendly both at reception and breakfast 2. Rooms were fairly large and modern, views were incredibly (ask for mountain facing room) 3. They will give you an Interlaken guest card. 4. Location is about 7-10 mins walk from Interlaken West Station and surrounded by high-end shops. 5. There's free self-service coffee and tea making area at one of the floors and its helpful if you have a jug/bottle to fill cold/hot water Cons: 1. Same breakfast everyday and it lacked variety 2. No kettle nor cups to make hot drinks (notice this is the case with hotels in Switzerland 3. TV channels were mostly in German language"

"I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Chalet Swiss during my visit to Interlaken. The hotel has a charming Swiss chalet atmosphere that made the stay feel cozy and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything I needed was provided. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection of bread, cereals, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, and drinks. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the surrounding mountains and lakes. The location is convenient, within walking distance of Interlaken West station and the town center. It was easy to get around and access public transportation for day trips. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. While the hotel may not be the most modern, it offers good value for money and a comfortable stay in a peaceful setting. Overall, I had a nice experience and would consider staying here again when visiting Interlaken."

"Excellent location for travelers going to Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. Train station is 5 minutes away. Public parking is nearby. Hotel located in downtown surrounded by plenty of restaurants and a public parking is just 2 minutes away. We reserved a room for 3 and it is spacious. The beds are basically in separate rooms. The staff is friendly. Internet speed is decent. Overall it’s a great location and great hotel!"

"The hotel is located nearby the train station (around 5-10mins walk) and there are many supermarkets nearby. The hotel staff is super friendly, and has a very cheerful personality. Loved the fact that they provide water/tea/coffee options at their lobby, and they provide cutleries too (important if you purchase takeout sometimes). The view from the room is pretty nice."

"Hotel Krebs is very conveniently located, just about a 3-minute walk from the train station, making it extremely easy to reach even with luggage. This was another lovely stay at Hotel Krebs, and it felt great to return once again. The staff were as kind and welcoming as ever, with consistently warm hospitality that made the stay very comfortable and familiar. Guests staying at the hotel receive a 10% discount at the hotel’s restaurant, which is also a well-known and popular restaurant among locals. The food quality and atmosphere make it well worth dining there. In addition, the hotel offers discounts on various activities in Interlaken, which is a nice benefit for travelers planning to explore the area."
