"The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2. The room was spacious and offered good value for money, but there were some minor issues. There was no trash can in the room. The air conditioning temperature was difficult to set and very noisy. There were also a lot of noisy starlings or similar birds in the trees outside. The toilet paper supply was low with no spare. There was no refrigerator in the room. While there are areas for improvement, I could get ice at the bar, and the staff were kind and courteous, so overall, it's more than satisfactory."

"The hotel hallway had a really strong, unpleasant odor. Based on the smell, I'd guess it was due to mold on the walls that they tried to cover up with a fresh coat of paint. The mixture of the moldy smell and the fresh paint fumes was just unbearable. The only upside is its proximity to the airport. I definitely wouldn't have booked this place if I wasn't catching an early flight; I'd rather pay more than stay in a moldy, freshly painted hotel."

Verdict: A solid budget stopover near KLIA (20 min drive) with great food options nearby and thoughtful touches like pre-cooled rooms. The bed is comfy, but pillows might disappoint. Late towel delivery and basic amenities are minor inconveniences. Good for transit stays if you're not too fussy."

"I love it bcs it is near the airport. also free shuttle. you can save up lost of money there.simply plan ahead when you want to head out,and go to reception to reserve your shuttle. They provide shampoos,shower and hand wash,though you need to have your own toothbrush because they dont provide it. Other than that,its amazing for short stay/layover."

"This was probably my second stay at this hotel. First off, you need to go through immigration to access it. For international transits, you'll need to apply for a Malaysian e-visa 1-3 days in advance. It's super easy to do online; just fill in your personal and flight details, and you'll get an email confirmation in about a minute. Terminal 2 has plenty of food and drink options, and the prices aren't too bad. This time, we had paper-wrapped chicken, char kway teow, and egg tarts at both Tea Garden and Hua Yang. The twin beds are about 1.2 to 1.3 meters wide, and you can push them together to comfortably sleep three people. The front desk charges some kind of tax, but you don't need cash – you can pay with Alipay QR code. For check-out, just drop your room key in the express check-out box by the front desk. They only give you one room key and a card, like a business card, for electricity. The room was incredibly quiet, and the air conditioning was silent too. Although it's small and windowless, the bathroom facilities, linens, AC, and ventilation were all very comfortable. It was great to get some sleep, then head downstairs for breakfast in the morning, and easily make our way to the 3rd-floor departure hall. If your layover is less than 12 hours, you can book a 12-hour hourly room. If you're checking in in the early hours of the morning, you can book for the previous night and check out on the current day, just remember to specify your early morning check-in date in the remarks. There's another hotel inside T2 that doesn't require immigration, but it's pricier and has fewer dining options. That one's better for shorter transits (like 6-8 hours) or if you want to avoid immigration (as the walking time and distance are longer). For a layover of around 12 hours, I still recommend going through immigration and staying at this hotel outside the restricted area. (Note: Stayed on August 8, 2026)"

"Pretty good. Right outside the exit on the second floor, super convenient for a layover. Security: Safe, entry is secured with a password, and there are password-protected lockers too. Facilities: Comprehensive, with showers 🚿, a safe, disposable toothbrushes, slippers… everything you need, very convenient. Cleanliness: Clean. Environment: Quite good. Service: Great. The lady at the front desk helped me sort out a room change issue."

"I have to give this hotel a huge thumbs down. For the price, even in a first-tier city like Shenzhen, you could find a well-equipped, clean, conveniently located, and reasonably spacious hotel near the airport. But here, you're stuck with an incredibly cramped room; I even struggled to find space for a small suitcase. Plus, the bathroom doesn't have a separate shower and toilet area, which is really inconvenient – you even have to put the toilet paper roll on a shelf. And the bed wasn't particularly comfortable; when I looked closely, I could see that the duvet wasn't clean. Thankfully, it was just an overnight layover, and I left early in the morning, so I guess it's fine."

The Sama-Sama Hotel, a 5-star property, has been around for a long time and its facilities are a bit dated, while other airport hotels have rooms that are too small. For travelers transiting through Kuala Lumpur or needing an overnight stay, I highly recommend the ibis Styles Sepang KLIA – it's excellent! When I first saw the 4.4 rating on Trip.com, I didn't have high expectations, thinking the facilities would be very ordinary. However, my actual stay completely exceeded them, offering a surprisingly great experience! This hotel, newly opened in 2024, is exceptionally well-maintained. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the overall design is resort-style, with lush greenery everywhere. Upon entering, you're greeted by a fresh, botanical scent, completely devoid of the usual oppressive and stuffy feeling of typical airport hotels 🍃. There’s a wide selection of room types. Solo travelers can choose a standard king or twin room, with 26㎡ of spacious, uncrowded comfort. Couples or friends can upgrade to a Superior room, and for families, the Family room with one king and one single bed can accommodate up to three people. There's also a windowless Deluxe King room, perfect for those just needing a temporary stopover and planning to rest indoors during the day. Accessible rooms are also available for guests with mobility needs. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a separate shower and bathroom, and a safe. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, perfectly adequate for daily living and work. The amenities are top-notch. There's a large outdoor infinity pool with a shallow kids' area, complete with loungers and parasols – it's incredibly relaxing to soak in the pool and watch the sunset in the evening. In addition to paid treatments like spa services, facials, and hair washes, the hotel also offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a large free outdoor parking lot, so parking is not an issue if you’re driving. The green courtyard area is expansive, perfect for an evening stroll to unwind. Real-life room photos look much better than the online pictures. The décor is positioned at a 4-star standard, but the comfort of the mattresses, soft furnishings, and bathrooms definitely rivals 5-star properties. The only major drawback is the rather poor soundproofing. You can clearly hear guests walking and talking in the hallway, and noises from adjacent rooms. Coupled with the roar of planes taking off and landing, light sleepers can easily be woken up in the middle of the night. The location is incredibly convenient, just 1 km from KLIA airport. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from the airport with fixed schedules; remember to register and book at the front desk before check-in. It's a 5-minute drive to Mitsui Outlet Park, so you can stop by for some shopping during your layover. Overall, this hotel is ideal for travelers needing an overnight airport stay. It's half the price of the 5-star Sama-Sama KLIA in the same area, yet its hardware, environment, and amenities are more modern and comprehensive, making for a great transit experience 👍."
