"The hotel is very close to the station, with a 7/11 downstairs. The area is lively, a hub for restaurants and malls, yet surprisingly quiet – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The room size is generous for a Japanese hotel, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. On the 11th floor, there's an open-air onsen with complimentary Yakult and cold drinks, and free ramen is offered in the evenings. I had a very satisfying stay and highly recommend it."

"This hotel was originally a classical hotel representing Nagano. It has been rebuilt, but the staff's dignity and hospitality are as expected. On weekends, it is used as a wedding venue, so you will pass by many people dressed in flashy attire. We stayed in the cheapest room (a single room for two in the old building), so the facilities were like those of a cheap business hotel, with a combined bathroom and toilet. I guess that's to be expected for a cheap hotel. We received good service for the same price as a business hotel, so we felt good and like we got a good deal. The restaurant in the hotel is of a very high standard, and you can enjoy classic hotel cuisine at an affordable price, so we recommend using the restaurant."

"The room was small and simple, but very comfortable to stay in. It was a bit chilly, so I asked the front desk for a blanket, and it warmed up nicely after I put it on. There are so many fun places nearby, but due to time constraints, I had to leave without exploring them all, which is a bit of a shame. Next time, I'll definitely set aside more time for Nagano."

"Excellent hotel with a superb location! It's literally a 2-minute walk from the station, which is incredibly convenient if you're arriving from Tokyo. Right next to the station, there's also a bus terminal for trips to the Snow Monkeys or various ski resorts. The hotel itself is very clean, and the room was even more spacious than other business hotels I've stayed in. The service is top-notch. Everything you need is provided; you can pick up toiletries at the reception downstairs, and even pajamas on your floor! The view from the window of the city and mountains is stunning. The hotel entrance is next to Lawson. You'll need to go up to the 5th floor for reception, and then there's a separate elevator for the guest floors."

"The hotel is right next to Nagano Station, and while it's about a 5-7 minute walk, it's not an issue. There's a convenience store directly opposite the hotel, which is essential for nightly trips to the onsen. Plus, they offer complimentary ice cream, so after a bath, enjoying some ice cream recharges you every night. It's an older hotel; you can tell its design would have been quite grand in the 90s. The room lighting is a bit dim, but the soundproofing is excellent."

Hotel service: There was a Japanese waiter on the night we went there, but it was difficult to find someone if something happened. Hotel food: We booked a one-night stay and two meals. Although they were all vegetarian, they tasted surprisingly good. In addition, I ordered grape juice for my daughter, which tasted special in beige. Hotel facilities: You can't ask for too much from the facilities of the shukubo. Try not to bring luggage. We stayed in a Japanese-style room on the third floor. If you bring luggage, it will be very difficult to carry it up the stairs by yourself. Volunteers will lead you to the temple for morning classes at 6:30 in the morning. As an experience, it is very good, but remind you to dress warmly. The time for listening to the chanting is a bit long. My feet are sore from the cold. The volunteers finish at about 8:30. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, you can go to Zenkoji Temple to buy amulets and worship on your own. There are many souvenirs and food, as well as Starbucks on the street directly opposite the main temple. If you are not very tired, you can walk back to Nagano. "The hotel is located about 10-15mins walk from Nagano station and is easily navigated using google map. Hotel provide luggage forwarding service and luggage deposit after checkout. Amenities are not provided in the room but upon check in, hotel staff will inform you to pick what you need from the area at the hotel lobby. It can also be picked up at anytime of the day. The lobby also have a coffee machine serving hot chocolate and coffee throughout the day. Pastry are provided at certain hour as well. One time free Sake tasting per guest where you need to pick up special coin from the hotel staff. Rooms are clean and quite spacious."
