"Very cozy accommodation, the old lady was busy in and out by herself, and she was very enthusiastic! The bathing room downstairs is very comfortable, and I am the only one taking a bath there every time. The breakfast is also very rich!"

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
The equipment in the hotel is clean and new. I also liked the design of the hotel.
One slight disadvantage was that the hotel was far from many facilities in Hakuba; it would be fine if I were driving. The heat in the summertime makes moving around Hakuba difficult."

"The hotel is located on a hillside behind Hakuba Station. It takes about 15 minutes to walk one kilometer through the fields, which is very convenient (it seems that you can also contact the front desk to have someone pick you up). The hotel's dinner is a buffet, with all-you-can-eat sashimi and sushi, and you can enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery from the restaurant window. Hotel guests can soak in the open-air hot spring for free. The open-air hot spring faces the snow-capped mountains. The experience is very good. There is ice water in the refrigerator in the room, which is not very considerate. The hotel has a sense of history and has many works of art. It is definitely a treasure hotel in Hakuba Village. There are several scheduled shuttle buses every day at the hotel entrance to the surrounding scenic spots, and it is also very close to Ode Park. I will stay here again next time I come to Baima Village!"

"Booked for 1 night but stayed extra nights … the lodge / hostel is run by a family and you can feel the care they put into it, making everyone welcome and safe during and after the hikes.
Instead of filling up the rooms they made sure all the guest was comfortable and split up all the guest with half filled rooms. Free coffee and drop off to the tourist center and JR station, cooking station etc

"Going skiing in December The Wulong Pavilion is a good choice. It is very close to the Happo ski resort. If the rental equipment staff will pick you up and pick up the cable car station in the morning, the hotel will also have a special car to pick up the service. "Hakuba Village is a perfect place to escape the summer heat. The Hakuba Hotel is lovely, surrounded by flowers. I saw an elderly man meticulously tending the flowers, meticulously tending them. We took the free shuttle directly from Iwatake to the hotel. The lobby offers free coffee and a shop. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and the food was delicious and filling. We also enjoyed a hot spring bath in the evening and a morning coffee at Snowpeak. Then, we arranged for the hotel's free shuttle to take us to Hakuba Station and on to Matsumoto. The only downside was that we were given a room at the end of the hotel, which lacked a view."

GGuest UserIt was a very comfortable stay. The room was especially clean, the staff were attentive, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. It was only a one-night stay, but it was a great experience, especially when combined with the various experiences I had in Hakuba. The only thing I noticed was that the shower water made a big mess on the bathroom floor, even though it was a twin room. If I have the chance to return, I'd like to have dinner there as well.

However, Mr Hiroki the supervisor and the staff in general tried their level best to ensure a comfortable stay for us. The hotel is quite comfortable and serves its purpose as a hotel for those seeking to head to ski fields as the shuttle bus stop is outside the hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe price is quite expensive during the snow season. The room with a big bed is 5000+, and adding a sofa bed is 300 more. This hotel is marked as a four-star hotel, but it is marked as a three-star hotel by Google search. It is not run by local Japanese people, and the sanitary environment is really average. The large bath is sticky, there are floating hairs in the pool, and towels are thrown everywhere. The room uses carpets, but the vacuuming is not thorough. I have to wear a mask and turn on the purifier to feel comfortable because of dust allergies. The breakfast is all European, without any Japanese soup or the like, and mainly cold food. I wanted to use the dryer, but when I entered, there were socks all over the floor, and the dryer was full of black hair. On the day of the pick-up, it was promised to arrive in 15 minutes, but I waited for 30 minutes and called again to say that there were other things on the way. Not recommended, if you want to come to Hakuba, it is recommended to book another hotel.

We had an excellent experience at Garden Pension Obogurgl. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Hakuba Goryu lifts, which made getting on the mountain super easy every day. The pension itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, with a lovely garden that adds to the charm.
Our room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for ski gear, and the communal areas had a relaxed, homely vibe. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with local tips and transport advice.
We especially enjoyed being able to walk everywhere—whether it was to the nearby convenience stores, local restaurants, or just strolling among the beautiful pine trees. The large cherry blossom tree out the front added a special touch to the peaceful surroundings. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and welcoming place to stay in Hakuba Goryu, Garden Pension Obogurgl is a fantastic choice.

GGuest UserIt's the second time I stayed here after 5 years. Because the price increased so much during the Chinese New Year, I only stayed for one night, but the children still liked it very much. They could find candies to eat, and there were snacks in the evening. There was milk and ice cream in the hot springs. I was satisfied with everything. Although the hotel is old, it is well maintained. The hot springs have a light smell of sulfur. Every day after skiing, the snacks and hot springs are super comfortable. The only drawback is that the location is a little bit off. You can either take the hotel shuttle or the ski resort shuttle to go out.

MMeowVanWhat an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!

CChooFeels like home. 10 minutes walk away from hakuba goryu escal plaza. a few eatery nearby so nothing to worry about food. No problem to communicate in English. and the owner they are so helpful and they are one of the nicest person I have ever met. yes, i will come back again to hakuba the next ski season, and i will stay here.
