My wife and I visited as part of a ski trip. Hifumi is a bit of a walk to the nearest ski lift but the ski bus if very close and runs more often than the timetable suggests. Our room (Sen) was huge and lovely. The en-suite onsen was a real luxury. Breakfast is excellent (both Japanese and European options). The real highlight was the service. The 2 young ladies who front a lot of the service are possibly the most helpful people I have ever met. They are superb, nothing is too much trouble.

We were very well received and the staff were very accommodating. Local was a stones throw from nice eateries and the Happo Bus terminal

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I came for longer than a week and the service was exceptional. Every person who worked there was so nice. Every day, my bed had been made with perfection and some drinks put in the mini fridge. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts were amazing with a different kind of delicious fish every day. The hotel has a good ski storage room and a drying room. Additionally, there were onsen baths in the hotel for anyone staying at to use, as well as one in my room on the deck. Overall, this hotel was so good and I would definitely come back next time.

The nicest staff I have ever had. Everyone was extremely pleasant, spoke English well, and was willing to help you with anything. I very highly recommend this place to anyone! The traditional ryokan was a fun way to experience Japanese cultural and the staff was extremely happy and gracious to help us through anything we didn’t know.

Outstanding service from manager and staffs. Absolutely great place to stay and relax with outdoor onsen in the room. Great locations with many restaurants nearby which can reach by walk. The room is clean, food at the hotel is good quality and super tasty. We’ll definitely come back.

Must stay if you’re going to Hakuba!!
Cozy, well maintained hotel 5 mins walk from Happo terminal. Very clean, with onsen which is great after a day of skiing! Guests who stayed there were all very respectful and more family oriented. Fantastic breakfast, and a wonderful team of staff that made us feel right at home. They even gave us a gift box at the end of the stay, so lovely!! Highly recommend!!

Very well managed by the host Tomo San and his wife. We were made to feel very welcomed to their hotel. The internal decor is very comfortable with great taste. Their 2 female staff were very young and served us with graceful manner and sincerity. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and come back when revisit Hakuba.
