"Overall, it was a great stay. The location is super convenient, right outside the JR station and close to all the main attractions. The interior is very new and the facilities are excellent. The service was also good. A particular highlight is the fantastic bike rental right outside the hotel – incredibly convenient! The price was reasonable too. I highly recommend these bikes; they're electric-assisted and you can pretty much see all the major Hakodate sights in one day. The only minor downside was the duvet. It was too thin, and with temperatures around 10-15 degrees Celsius at night and no air conditioning, it was uncomfortable for someone used to thicker bedding. They provided a few blankets, but they were not very comfortable and tended to slip off. Hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka usually allow you to request extra duvets, but apparently not in Hokkaido. Also, the soundproofing wasn't as good as hotels in Tokyo or Osaka. I kept hearing some banging noise from next door in the morning. Despite these small issues, it was a good experience overall, and I would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Hakodate in the future."

"This was my third stay, and it was just as great as the previous times. I enjoyed watching the cruise ships and the sea, and loved the open-air onsen on the top floor. By coincidence, there was an earthquake during my stay, and it was quite shaky, but the hotel's emergency response was excellent, which helped everyone feel less nervous and worried!"

"One of the best things about our stay was how spacious and comfortable the room was. There was plenty of space to move around, unpack luggage, and relax after a full day of sightseeing, which made a big difference during our trip.
We also really appreciated having a bathtub in the room. It was perfect for soaking and unwinding at the end of the day. Another feature that stood out was the in-room washing machine, which was incredibly convenient during our travels. "Kudos to this hotel. My stay there was amazing. The hotel is close to streetcar station, but during winter it still pretty challenging to pull your luggage. That is expected situation for any hotel in Hokkaido 😆. The receptionist was really helpful. She help to call taxi for me when I don’t know how to do so."

Cleanliness: The cleanliness was a huge disappointment! If you don't smoke or can't stand the smell of smoke, be absolutely sure not to book a smoking room. During the cherry blossom season, this was the last room available, and I didn't check carefully, ending up in a smoking room. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and the ventilation system was useless, making it smell even worse, especially in the bathroom. My hair and coat were permeated with the smoky smell. There was an extra sheet under the duvet. I didn't notice it the first night, but when I pulled it back the next morning, I saw many stains on the duvet cover. Truly subpar...
Facilities: The room was very small; I could only open my suitcase by the door. The bathroom had no outlets, so I had to plug the hairdryer into an outlet in the main room. No drinking water was provided in the room; I had to go all the way down to the South Wing to get water, which is a very inconvenient design."

"We took the NA yellow line shuttle both ways, it was 450 per person and you can pay with cash or credit card. There were snowy views right outside the window. Staying in the West Wing meant we were very close to the hot springs, though the sulfur smell was a bit stronger there. For the Japanese-style room, someone came to set up the futons between 6 PM and 10 PM. There were about 7-8 hot spring pools, including outdoor ones. Soaking in the hot springs while looking at the snow was incredibly relaxing. We booked both breakfast and dinner buffets, and they were decent."

LLiayibushiayiAbsolutely fantastic! The hotel is directly connected to the JR station, so you can be on the train in just 5 minutes – truly seamless. The hotel's train-themed decor is really charming; if you get the chance, definitely book a train-themed room, it's so unique. The rooftop open-air onsen and lounge with the delicious Miling coffee is a major plus. Breakfast was superb too; the sushi was incredibly fresh, and I devoured six huge grilled scallops! The harbor views and the train views from the room are simply unbeatable!

GGuest UserI stayed in a D-Fourth Non smoking room on the 8th floor. The room has a nice view of Mount Hakodate from the balcony and a view of the port from the bedroom window. Room was clean and there is daily cleaning if you ask for it. Cooking utensils are available though no condiments provided. The bath system is electronic and took a while to figure out how to use it. Room was spacious and adequate for 4 of us. What we loved is that while the dryer did not really dry our clothes (separate washer and dryer), the heater in the room was strong enough to dry them and we could borrow a rack from the hotel to hang them out to dry. Only improvement we would like to suggest - we arrived when it was snowing heavily, and as we moved our luggage into the room the floor became wet and dirtied, we had to clean with tissue as there is no floor cleaner available.would be nice to provide self cleaning tools especially since there is a kitchen and things might spill. And also the balcony did not have any ‘balcony’ shoes so it was just too cold to step outside to enjoy the scenary. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Would choose it again if we go Hakodate.

淑淑菁A small but charming accommodation. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The room was just right for two people, with a standard double bed. It's a 5-minute walk to Wulinggang Pagoda. Clown Burger is next to Wulinggang Pagoda and is open until 9 pm. Parking is available right next to the hotel. It costs 660 yen per day. There's a large restaurant called Da Kuro-ya just around the corner. There are many places to eat nearby in the evening.

It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

SSuet Sum LaiI booked the hotel a few months ago so I could get a very good price for staying with OMO5. Very comfortable and energetic hotel, especially the common area was a place for relaxing and chill. They have a different set up during the day and at night. The highlight of this hotel is the free shuttle bus services, going around the city, and the paid shuttle service to go up the hill to see the sunset. You would be knowing how chaotic it could be up there so it’s good to have a shuttle bus bringing you up and down back to the hotel door. Also, the hotel offer free tours and I joined the free market walking tour and a bus tour to Onuma National Park. By staying one night, I could use the services before the check in and after the check out, so basically it covered 2 days activities when I was in Hakodate. it’s a super value offer, and I really feel this hotel group has thoughts from traveler’s perspective and try their best to give the best experience and to help reducing hassles for us. Definitely I will book with hotels under Hoshino Resort Group again. Thank you very much.

The location is excellent, only about a 3-minute walk from the tram station, which makes getting around very easy. There are also many restaurants nearby, so finding food is never a problem.
The room was clean and well maintained, and the onsen was very nice and relaxing after a long day.
Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

DD25860****A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!

The onsen offers nice views of Hakodate, which is a plus.
