"Just a two-minute walk from the station! First off, Asahikawa Station and Aeon Mall are directly connected, which is great for staying warm in winter. You can literally walk out of Starbucks, cross the street, and you're at the hotel. The room was bigger than I expected, and they provided all the necessary disposable amenities. The bathtub was also sparkling clean! For early September, 200 RMB a night is even cheaper than chain hotels back home."

"Hotel's about 10 minutes walk by the track on pedestrian walkway from the station. There's a 7-11 across. Quiet area. Great Onsen with jacuzzi and ishiburo (stone tub) as well as the usual hot and cold pools with sauna. There's no water in the room but they give each guest a coin for their own drinks at the Onsen. Every evening til 9pm, there's free sampling of sakes. Last night, there were five bottles and cos there are no staff, you can sample them unlimited! I think I had about 300ml total. There's free soup but I'd skip them."

"Great stay in Asahikawa! The hotel is right outside the station and directly connected to AEON Mall, making it super convenient for transport, food, and shopping. It is also a great base for trips to Furano and Biei . The staff were cheerful and very helpful, including those in training. Despite the language barrier, communication was never a problem (I even heard staff speaking Chinese and another using translation device to help guests.) Rooms do not have bathtubs, but there is a free, spacious public bath on the reception level. There is also a nice lounge with lots of manga to browse. Breakfast was a standard Western-style buffet with a few Asahikawa specialities. The only downside is that there are just four washer/dryer sets, so the laundry room can get busy. Overall, I would definitely stay again!"

"Although it's a small hotel, perhaps because it opened recently, the facilities and service were well-organized, so I had no complaints during my stay. "Y’s hotel is an excellent stay in Asahikawa if you’re arriving at the Asahikawa airport and starting your road trip. Right outside the hotel is the main Asahikawa station and the airport transfer bus is just right at the door step. No rush in catching the bus for your plane. Just across the street is the car rental which you can easily pick up/return your rented car. Hotel also has a very nice Onsen facility that you can enjoy all through the night while waiting for your laundry in the coin laundromat."

"It's over a kilometer from Asahikawa Station, which isn't very convenient if you have a lot of luggage. But for me, with just a backpack, clean and cheap was enough. There's a sushi restaurant across the street that's open late, and a Genghis Khan barbecue place about 100 meters away. Overall, I'm satisfied."

"Stayed during the off-season, so the room rate was very affordable. The rooms were all very clean. Although it's a bit far from JR station, about a 15-minute walk, it's still acceptable. There's a spa on the first basement floor that's open until midnight. Breakfast is on the 15th floor with a beautiful view. I booked breakfast for two days, and the menu didn't change at all. There was a decent variety of dishes, but no seafood bowls or anything like that, which was a bit disappointing. What was great, though, is that they replenished the food very frequently when it ran out."

"Quite a nice and tidy hotel located just next to the JR station. Aeon Mall is just opposite to it and the shopping street is just behind which provides conveniences to shoppers. The room is a bit too tiny and we were even unable to open both mid-size suitcases at the same time. However it is clean and contains almost everything you need. Amazing! To our surprise, its breakfast is exceedingly well, providing good quality food and ample varieties. A very good hotel."

"The hotel is not the closest to the JR station, but it is conveniently within walking distance. The room was adequate for one person and offered sufficient space for one piece of luggage. The service and amenities at Dormy Asahikawa is good. The only gripe i have is the location, over the 2 days in in Asahikawa, it was raining and because Dormy Asahikawa is not exactly near to the station (abt 10 to 15mins walk dependingon traffic lights) with a backpack, 28” luggage wheeling, heavier drizzle (rain) and no shelter after The station's stretch of walkway, i got to the hotel drenched. The comfort is the hot spring and the 930pm Ramen. The service from their staff is good. Dormy inn standard doesn't fail.

It is an apartment with 2 floors. One double bed bedroom and a bathroom with shower are on the first floor. On the second floor, there is another double bed bedroom with a sofa bed, living room, open kitchen and a toilet. We are family of 3 with a teenage girl, so a double bed bedroom with a sofa bed is perfect for us. The apartment is sparkling clean, the kitchen provides cooking wear and table wear. However, there is no cooking oil, paper and salt.  We enjoyed staying there.

After taking the bus from Sapporo to Asahikawa, I walked about 200-300 meters from the drop-off point and arrived at the hotel. Its location right next to Asahikawa Station is excellent. From there, you can easily catch a bus or subway to places like Furano and Asahikawa Airport. This hotel offers great value for money.

I understand that the hotel’s breakfast hours are from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and we arrived at 9:02 am, slightly late as we were packing our luggage and preparing to check out. By then, the kitchen staff were already putting away the food and preparing to close the breakfast area. I quickly took a bowl of soup from what was still available. However, one of the kitchen staff members looked at me and rolled her eyes, which felt rude and unnecessary. The front desk staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, the stay was great!

The hotel is conveniently located, being a few minutes walk from the train station and bus terminus.  There is a large shopping mall nearby.  The breakfast provided by the hotel in the form of buffet is value for money because there is a wide choice of food items which are tasteful and delicious.  Coin operated washing machines and dryers are available near the hotel reception area.  Complimentary tea and coffee are also available for hotel guests.  We would book the same hotel the next time we come to Asahikawa.

This hotel is very family-friendly, essentially a giant kindergarten. If you're traveling as an adult, choose carefully. To be fair, the decor is adorable, and the breakfast is delicious. While the room is small, it perfectly showcases Japanese hotels' knack for maximizing space, making it cozy and comfortable. The public hot springs and sauna were overcrowded, almost entirely filled with parents and children, making them cramped and noisy – not somewhere you'd want to go. The hotel's own parking also costs 1000 JPY per day, and spots are usually full by 4 PM, so you might need to park in nearby public car parks, which are similarly priced.

Despite being located in a convenient area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. I was impressed by the comprehensive amenities provided; they had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. However, the true highlight was the exceptional service from the staff, who were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my visit. Regarding logistics, please note that the on-site parking is quite limited. If the hotel's spots are full, they offer a convenient deal where you can park at the nearby Times parking lots for a flat rate of 800 Yen. This is a great alternative that saves you from worrying about hourly fees

Thanks for allocating a high-floor room with a great view; it was helpful to see if it was raining. The room was quite spacious, though the bathroom felt a bit narrow. My room clearly looked renovated and was comfortable; I liked having a window. The location is super convenient, with many shops nearby. The staff were friendly. Definitely worth recommending. There's a large park next to the train station, and you can also visit Ramen Village.

Parking is quite limited, and the front desk staff could have been a little friendlier during our stay. One interesting touch was that we were given complimentary coins to use at the vending machines, which was a nice little extra. The room itself was clean, compact and functional — nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was one of the better parts of the experience. The spread was good, with a decent variety of choices, and the breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a practical hotel with clean rooms and a good breakfast, although the limited parking and front desk service could be improved.

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!
