"Staying at the Atour Hotel Xinyicheng in Shantou for a free-and-easy trip to Chaoshan was a great experience. The overall environment was quiet and pleasant, and the hallways were clean and tidy, with no stuffy or strange odors. The room was bright and airy with a well-thought-out layout. The TV supported screen mirroring from my phone, which was perfect for catching up on shows during downtime. The central air conditioning had precise temperature control, and the toiletries were of excellent quality. The self-service laundry room with a dryer was especially practical for long trips. Closing the window effectively blocked out street noise from traffic, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location is superb; it was quick and easy to get to popular spots like Xiaogongyuan by taxi. All the facilities were well-maintained, and the environment was refreshing and comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is within walking distance of MixC Mall and close to Longyan South Road. It's a short taxi ride to Xiaogongyuan Park. If you want to visit Nanao Island, you can rent a car and park it in the hotel's parking lot. Overall, the location is great, making getting around very convenient. On hot days, if you don't feel like going out, there are plenty of food delivery options. They deliver to the concierge, and a little robot brings it up to your room. I was initially worried that the hotel, being a bit older, might have outdated facilities. However, I was pleasantly surprised that everything is very well maintained, giving it the substantial feel of an established five-star hotel. The room is quite spacious, with comfortable 1.35m beds and nice bedding. The air conditioning works powerfully. There's an outdoor pool that looks quite beautiful. The hardware is generally good, but I have to say, the service is pretty mediocre. When I checked in, they said there were no available rooms and they were still being cleaned. They suggested I go to lunch first and took my phone number, promising to call, but no one ever called. The afternoon tea, which was included with my booking, wasn't offered proactively. I only remembered it the night before check-out and had to ask staff for the voucher. When I encountered staff in the elevator, they didn't seem to have the awareness to greet guests proactively. So, the 'software' (service) is far from five-star."

Out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this one offered truly thoughtful service. The price was reasonable, and the room was spacious and bright. "If you want to stay as close to the ancient city as possible, this is a top choice. The hotel is directly opposite Paifang Street at the intersection, and it has exclusive parking spaces within the courtyard. The hotel environment is tranquil and elegant, with a sophisticated New Chinese design. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, and all facilities are well-equipped. The service is patient and thoughtful, and there's a variety of self-service teas available. It's perfect for a short trip. 💯🎈"

"The hygiene, environment, and facilities were acceptable, but the service was poor. When checking in, I asked if there was a razor in the room, and the front desk said yes. However, when I got to the room, there wasn't one. I called the front desk to ask for one, but after half an hour, nothing happened. I called again, and a different staff member said they would follow up. Another 20 minutes passed, and it still hadn't arrived. I had to call the front desk a third time to chase it up, and it finally arrived after more than an hour's wait."

"Atour x means that this is a refurbished hotel. So it might lack some of the actual Atour services. This hotel only has 1 lift so if during peak timing, it is damn chaotic and long queue wait. They do open up their emergency staircase. It looks eerie though. It only has 4 level. But the rooms are spread out in 1 floor.i got a middle room so means I don't have a window but they still give me a window. Lol sound barrier was not so good Location is top notch, few mths walk to all attractions and populars places such as the only 2 mall on Chao Shan and the popular night food street. For a first timer, this hotel is a definite stay so ypu don't have to keep taking Didi for the food. The only didi you need to use is when you go to their heritage places. I always trust atour to keep me safe at night, a good night sleep and enjoy a wonderful stay with all their amenities such as gym, laundry and mid night porridge supper. Did I mentioned then even had automatic flushing system, strong gushing water flow and AI assistance."

"When in Shantou, this hotel is definitely my top recommendation. The service is excellent, it's clean, and the environment is great. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to Longyan South Food Street, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Taxis only cost about ten yuan. The staff are all incredibly warm and patient. The check-in process was efficient, and they even proactively offered us local tips for exploring and dining in Shantou. A crucial and thoughtful detail was informing self-driving guests that parking fees could be reimbursed, clearly explaining the reimbursement process. This was incredibly friendly for those driving, saving us some money – truly attention to detail at its best. When we had questions later, their response was quick, and their service was perfectly balanced. Stepping into the guest room, the overall impression was immediately striking. The room was impeccably cleaned; not just superficially clean, but even easily overlooked spots like countertop crevices and bathroom corners were spotless, free of water stains or unpleasant odors. The bedding was fresh and soft, allowing me to shed all the day's fatigue as soon as I lay down after a day out. All the equipment and facilities were complete and brand new; the lighting, air conditioning, and bathroom fixtures all functioned smoothly without any signs of age or damage, making for a very comfortable living experience. The breakfast buffet in the morning also exceeded expectations. The selection was rich, offering a good mix of local Chaoshan flavors and standard breakfast items, with hot dishes, pastries, porridges, soups, fruits, and drinks all available. The ingredients were fresh, and food was replenished promptly. The dining area was kept tidy. Slowly enjoying breakfast after waking up, then heading out to explore Shantou's various attractions, simply made for a truly blissful experience. Throughout my Shantou trip, after feasting on delicious food and exploring the old city, returning to the hotel meant I could rest and rejuvenate peacefully. From the new and complete facilities to the meticulous room cleaning, the warm and attentive service from all staff, and the self-driving friendly parking reimbursement policy, every aspect showed the hotel's dedication. For friends traveling to Shantou who want to avoid bad accommodation experiences, this hotel is definitely worth considering. Whether you're traveling with friends or on a family road trip, staying here is very comfortable. The next time I visit Shantou, I will still choose Yunman."
