This stay was absolutely fantastic! The breakfast spread was amazing, with aromatic breads and authentic kway teow soup noodles that hit the spot. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and cozy. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful; they even called ahead to check on our needs before we arrived. They also thoughtfully prepared kid's toiletries since we were traveling with a child, and we got to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea. The overall service was meticulous and attentive, and the value for money was excellent. Highly recommend!

I especially enjoyed having a local market right downstairs; it added such a vibrant, authentic local atmosphere and allowed me to truly experience the daily life and charm of Shantou. Overall, I truly felt at home, and the value for money was excellent. It was a very pleasant stay! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Shantou.

Stumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience. **Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise. **Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality. **Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude. This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

This guesthouse is incredibly comfortable, and the service is so thoughtful and attentive. There's a bathtub where I could enjoy the night view, which finally helped me unwind after a long day! I arrived quite late, but the front desk staff was very welcoming and made me feel so well taken care of. The self-serve coffee in the lobby is also delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic, with beef rice rolls and incredibly fresh century egg porridge—this is exactly why I keep coming back to Guangdong year after year!

The hotel has a lot going for it. We enjoyed the fresh renovations and the breakfast was good. I don’t think it’s worthy of 5 stars though because they have extremely cheap and uncomfortable mattresses. The mattress was so light and springy that any movement from the other side of the bed would make you wake up and you can feel the springs and hear them. We tried flipping the mattress over as instructed by hotel staff but the hard side of the bed was equally uncomfortable. We booked the Urcove for the next night because Hyatt has a high standard for mattresses and we can count on a good night’s sleep. One thing to keep in mind for these hotels in China is they are pretty much all unwilling to enforce no smoking rules. Even with air filters throughout the hotel we could smell the cigarette smoke everywhere.

When my child got an upset stomach late at night and we needed to go to the hospital, the hotel provided incredibly thoughtful assistance.

The location is very convenient, and the soundproofing is a major highlight – you can barely hear any noise from the hallway or the street. The bathroom is clean and well-equipped. I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel.

The Golden Leaf Hotel specially selected by the Shuangzhong Cultural Festival, the hotel is in a good location, and the team passes by the cross road in front of the hotel. Old hotel, good service, a pleasant stay.

非常滿意的一次旅行！房間空間大，私密性好，全屋智能太友好了！還有投影儀，呆在房間看電影都是一種享受！酒店還配有恆温泳池，樓上樓下兩層，私隱性好，水温合適，孩子非常喜歡，來回在裏面玩了一個多小時，解放了帶娃的我們！民宿管家的服務非常周到，會特意根據我們的時間合理安排早餐的用餐時間！店裡還有烤肉，孩子游完泳，我們在荔枝樹下吃烤肉，度假的鬆弛感拉滿！

I enjoy reading to pass the time on vacation, and the quiet corner on the terrace is perfect for it. With a complimentary coffee in hand, I can look up and admire the ocean view, the fishing boats going to and from the pier, the relaxed daily life of the town, and the windmills swaying in the breeze. The sunset creates such a gentle atmosphere. The desk in the room is spacious and quiet, and the bathtub is great for unwinding. The bedding ensures a good night's sleep. The pool and gym are good for relaxing your eyes, and the kids' club is far enough away not to disturb the quiet areas. Plus, parking is convenient if you're driving.
