BBellaxingxingThis hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Zhujiang South Road Food Street. If you're heading to Nan'ao Island by public transport, bus 161A is about an 8-minute walk away. Tianshan Beef Hotpot is also within an 8-minute walk. Even going to Longyan South Road or the high-speed rail station, a taxi ride is only around 10 yuan. The front desk staff were very helpful and answered all my questions, even allowing me to have a late check-out until 1 PM. The room's cleanliness was decent. The facilities are up to the usual standard you'd expect from a Ji Hotel. But the best part was how quiet the room was (it didn't face the main street), which allowed me to get a great night's sleep. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shantou.

GGuest UserThis hotel is one of the best we've stayed in. It's newly renovated, so everything is incredibly clean. The design is very stylish, and the hygiene is top-notch. The front desk even sent us a guide in advance, and their attitude was super warm and welcoming. However, we did see someone in the hallway using an electric mosquito swatter. A big warning: definitely avoid the rice noodle shop across the street! It's ridiculously expensive at ¥50 a bowl (whether it's seafood or pork belly). For three people, it was ¥150, and there were no clear prices on the menu inside. We later ate at Lin Ji's on Zhujiang Road; you pick your own ingredients, and two bowls only cost ¥40... the ingredients were pretty much the same quality too.

Although slight improvement is that perhaps they can think about how to assist hotel guests with delivery services or help point to apps or assist in some ways to provide above and beyond guest services.
Overall I love the location near to zhujiang food street (offers all the good local food outlets and restaurants with walking distances), not far from the railway stations, and within a scooter ride from the new and more modern areas of Shantou (mixc shopping malls etc )

GGuest UserThe room's location is decent, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a hotel-apartment with two large beds, which is great for families with two kids. However, it has its drawbacks. The soundproofing is poor; you can clearly hear conversations from surrounding areas. The biggest issue is the extremely small bathroom, making it very inconvenient to use the toilet – you pretty much have to leave the door open. The shower, on the other hand, is fine with good water pressure. For the price, it's acceptable; you can't expect too much.

KKnyong99The service was terrible. We stayed for two days. When we checkin on the first day at around 4pm, the room was not clean up and they staff said they were very busy that day and asked us to wait at the lobby.
On the second day, we came back at around 5pm after a whole day tour, the same situation happen. No housekeeping was done. Same excuse given to us .
This is one of the worst accommodation I have stayed in China. The staff are not welcoming.

The tatami room is on the fourth floor, so you have to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs. However, the room is very spacious, and the bathroom in particular is really roomy and comfortable.

MM40647****It's super convenient to order takeout here, and it's just a short walk to the beach or the promenade for food and sightseeing. The suite we booked with our child was very convenient and even offered a sea view. The guesthouse has a shared kitchen fully equipped with pots, pans, a fridge, and an air fryer, etc. Downstairs, there's a market where you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. The front desk also has beach toys for guests to borrow, and when we checked out, they even gave us a fridge magnet and seaweed as gifts. The service was excellent, and we had a very pleasant stay.

YYumiaotongxingOur experience at the DIOTEL Chaoshan Hotel in Shantou was absolutely fantastic! The front desk service was excellent, and our room was clean and tidy with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The nightly DIY 'Red Peach Kuih' activity was so much fun, my girlfriend was engaged the whole time. The Teochew opera performance on Saturday night offered an immersive experience of this intangible cultural heritage. The overall bamboo-themed design is elegant, and the spiral staircase is perfect for taking photos.
I highly recommend the hotel's BBQ dinner; the ingredients were fresh, the flavors authentic, and it had a wonderful lively atmosphere. It's a one-stop shop for eating, staying, and entertainment – super convenient and definitely worth a second visit!

Every staff member I encountered – from reception to housekeeping – went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They also help to receive my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff. They also specially provide our room upgrade for seaview to our special honeymoon couple.
The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay.
The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located at seaside , dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again.
The amenities are well-equipped, thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the helpful lounge areas to the private big room, and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive.
Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future.
