"Honestly, even though it's by the lake, there weren't as many bugs as I expected. And honestly, the soundproofing is really good. I'm quite particular about soundproofing, but every night I was able to sleep undisturbed until I naturally woke up. Also, things like smart home features, linen hygiene, and service are all top-notch at these B&Bs now, so that goes without saying. The lobby is also a cafe, and the front desk said it would be a restaurant soon, which is a shame because I can't stay that long. It's located next to a pretty big village, so food, drink, and entertainment are all convenient, and there are charging stations too. Overall, I'm very satisfied. P.S. The balcony in the room near the corridor seems to be a bit larger."

"I stayed at Eluodi for two nights, and it truly felt like living inside a beautiful landscape. The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by the lake view, sleeping right by the water. Waking up to the mist over the lake and falling asleep to the gentle lapping of waves at night, every moment felt like living in a painting. The guesthouse itself embodies Mosuo charm, with light, shadow, wood, and stone blending perfectly – every picture I took was stunning. What made it even more special were the people. Cier, Zhaxi, and Yangsen were so thoughtful and naturally friendly, like old friends, adding many warm memories to my trip. If it weren't for my travel schedule, I would have loved to stay a few more days."

"The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is its lakeside location. Step two meters out the door and you're right by Lugu Lake. Sitting by the lake, sipping tea or coffee, or just staring off into space – I never wanted to leave, which is why I'm a repeat guest. We booked the family suite, which has an amazing lake-view balcony and a spacious living room with massive glass windows overlooking the lake. The room itself is very roomy, and the family suite even has two separate bathrooms with wet/dry separation, making it incredibly comfortable. I also want to commend the guesthouse's service team; the young staff drove us, proactively helped with luggage, and even brought refreshments to our room. Their service attitude was fantastic! Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and you could always ask for more if needed. Highly recommended! 👍"

"The B&B boasts an excellent location with stunning lake views from the window. The Mosuo Museum is right out the back door, offering an effortless way to learn about Mosuo culture. The front entrance is very close to Daloshui Wharf, making it super convenient to catch a 'pig trough boat'. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to help. The breakfast is hearty every day, and afternoon tea and a sweet nightly soup are delivered to the room on time. I especially want to highlight that their private chef's food is absolutely delicious! I stayed in Lugu Lake for 3 days and tried stone pot fish and firewood chicken, but surprisingly, the home-style cooking at this B&B was the most satisfying. I regret not discovering it sooner! I hope future guests see my review and definitely give it a try!"

"Lugu Lake in the off-season is simply a dream come true! No filters needed, these are straight-from-the-camera shots, and this hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Both the public areas and the rooms have large floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the lake, making you feel like you're right in a painting – so incredibly relaxing! The hotel I picked this time was super convenient, and the terrace was fantastic for photos (P8). There are also plenty of great spots for pictures just outside the hotel, and it's easily walkable to many places. When you're tired from exploring, it's so therapeutic to come back, have afternoon tea in your room, watch the sunset over the lake, and just daydream by the window. The room itself was really spacious, with a balcony, and as soon as you opened the door, you could see the lake. There was also a mini-fridge with drinks and snacks. The bedding felt very comfortable too; I slept incredibly soundly! I'm genuinely, very, very satisfied! Make sure to book a lake view! Breakfast and everything else were also excellent! I'll definitely be back!"

"Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just 5 meters from Lugu Lake with breathtaking views. The front desk contacted us in advance, and a staff member came out to greet us, guided us to parking, and helped with our luggage. When the staff found out we were leaving very early the next morning and wouldn't have time for breakfast, they immediately prepared bread and soy milk for us, which was so thoughtful. The room size was just right, and the bathroom was spacious. My family said they'd love to come back and stay for ten days to half a month. This place instantly helps you relax and unwind; it's very pleasant. The only drawback is that our room was the first one on the first floor, so anyone passing by would definitely make noise. Even at 10 PM, people were still talking in the hallway."

"The hotel's environment is incredibly serene, and the landscaping is fantastic. Every day by the Walking Marriage Bridge, I'd see elegant black swans, which really brightened my mood! I also participated in the hotel's Mosuo cultural activities. The cultural lecture was lively and engaging, and I even made a unique little souvenir during the hand-printing session. Taking photos in traditional clothing created some truly beautiful memories. I have to commend our butler, Kevin. He sent thoughtful reminders even before check-in and meticulously followed up throughout our trip. His service was absolutely impeccable! The room layout was very comfortable, and the smart toilet and makeup mirror were super practical. The bathrobes were also wonderfully soft. My experience here was 10/10 – I genuinely recommend everyone to stay!"

The hotel's exterior exuded a minimalist, forest-like quality, devoid of overly commercialized, flashy designs. Instead, it felt like a small courtyard nestled between the lake and mountains, quiet and relaxing. During check-in, the staff's warmth instantly melted away my travel fatigue. There was no rigid, formalized service; instead, they greeted me with the familiarity of an old friend, offered local herbal tea, and even shared the best spot to watch the sunrise the next day. They thoughtfully marked out lesser-known walking trails nearby – every detail spoke of genuine care. Pushing open the room door, I was immediately stunned by the view. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling window directly faced Lugu Lake, the water like a crumpled sapphire. Gamu Goddess Mountain shimmered in and out of view amidst the mist, and the evening glow painted the lake surface a warm orange, with even the wind carrying the crisp scent of the lake. The table thoughtfully provided bottled water and local specialty snacks, and even a humidifier was pre-arranged, perfectly addressing the issue of the high-altitude dryness. But the most healing part was the morning. I was awakened at dawn by sounds from outside the window. Drawing back the curtains, I saw the morning mist gently drifting across the lake like a veil, with distant islands appearing and disappearing within it. A pig trough boat slowly glided by, leaving a gentle ripple. I sat in the chair by the window, watching the sun slowly pierce through the clouds, painting the mist golden. Compared to those thousand-yuan-plus 'influencer' hotels around Lugu Lake, Anxia Mountain & Lake, without excessive marketing, gave me a perfect surprise with its genuine experience. It doesn't rely on flashy gimmicks, but rather uses clean rooms, attentive service, and breathtaking lake views to allow every guest to feel the gentle embrace of Lugu Lake. After this trip, my friend and I agreed that next time we visit Lugu Lake, we must stay here again. It's like a utopia hidden in the lake's light – not noisy, not deliberate, yet it welcomes every distant traveler with the most relaxed demeanor. If you're looking for a place to find peace in Lugu Lake, Anxia Mountain & Lake will definitely not disappoint."
