"The hotel's front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly warm and provided excellent service. They even gave us a detailed guide for Mount Fanjing, which allowed us to pre-book tickets for the Golden Summit on the day of our climb, saving us a lot of time. While the hotel facilities might feel a bit dated, you can tell the owner invested a lot of effort into the decor back in the day, and it still maintains a luxurious feel. The stay was very comfortable, and both the elderly and children were very satisfied."

"After a strenuous hike up Fanjingshan, we drove to the hotel for a much-needed rest. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and courteous, even providing a complimentary room upgrade. A staff member then kindly escorted me to the elevator.
The lobby was grand and impressive. Our room was spacious and felt well-appointed, clearly benefiting from a recent renovation. I particularly appreciated the bathroom's 'three-separation' design (separate wet and dry areas), and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The mattress was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was strong yet quiet. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, truly having something for everyone. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the male server was very attentive, and the prices were quite reasonable.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. All the pillows were uniformly high, which was uncomfortable for me as I prefer a lower pillow, making it difficult to fall asleep. In the morning, when I went to shower, it took over ten minutes for the hot water to come on, and even then, it was only lukewarm. It wasn't hot enough to properly wash my hair, so I just quickly rinsed off and got out to avoid getting cold."

"The hotel is easy to find; I saw it as soon as I got off the bus at Dongmen, just a few minutes' walk from there. The front desk staff were very friendly and recommended an excellent restaurant where I even got a discount. They also thoughtfully upgraded my room upon check-in. The room itself was great – clean, tidy, with smart features, direct drinking water, a balcony, and a huge TV. Even the toilet was smart, with a heated seat. The hotel lobby is spacious and has large, free lockers for luggage storage. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay."

"Seeking a peaceful retreat, I blindly picked 'Yunfuli Hidden Retreat' tucked away in Zhaisha Dong Village for my trip to Fanjingshan, and I was absolutely blown away! The guesthouse's design philosophy is 'return to simplicity,' with its courtyard brimming with plants. The new Chinese-style garden, combined with the traditional Dong stilt houses, makes every photo-op a masterpiece. My favorite part was the tea set in the room; brewing a pot of Fanjing Cuiya with mountain spring water, sitting by the window watching the misty mountains, and listening to the birdsong instantly brought a sense of calm. "We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing.
The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room.
Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. ."

NinacoffeeThis hotel is really close to the east gate of Fanjing Mountain, and the owner is super nice, offering shuttle service between the hotel and the scenic area. The room was clean, and the surroundings were very quiet. My only minor gripes were that the air conditioner was a bit noisy and the hairdryer wasn't very powerful. Breakfast was a bowl of rice noodles and a steamed bun, which was decent. We also had lunch at the hotel, and the sour soup beef was delicious and a generous portion. All in all, it was a pretty good stay.

Guest UserOver the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious.
The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock.
The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center.
The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard.

I had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fanjingshan.
The location is excellent, situated right at the foot of the mountain and very close to the entrance of the scenic area. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to find food or anything you might need during your stay.
The room was spotless, modern and extremely comfortable. Everything worked perfectly, from the TV and heater to the hot water and bed. It genuinely felt like a home away from home after a long day of hiking.
What made the stay especially memorable was the owner. She was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. She owns a restaurant nearby, and whenever I ordered food, it was conveniently brought up to my room. She also offered snacks, gave useful local advice and helped arrange transportation for my onward journey after Fanjingshan, which was a huge help as a foreign traveller.
The combination of a great location, comfortable rooms and genuine hospitality made this one of the highlights of my trip. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Fanjingshan.

The hotel is located at the entrance to the road leading to the fanjingshan scenic area.
It will take you around a 15mins walk or so to reach the tourist centre where you can purchase your tickets to enter the park.
The hotel is mostly aurrounded by fellow hotels and restaurants and a tiny weeny convenience stall just beside the hotel.
The plump lady receptionist might sound crude but she is extremely friendly and helpful.
The reception area is sparse but the room is defintely okay.not many guests when i was staying there.
It is worth a stay though there is nothing much to do around the area and if your aim is just to visit fanjingshan

A hidden gem! This resort type of hotel is so rare in the area.
We opted for this hotel for the gorgeous courtyard type of layout. The hotel deserves the attention and my lengthy review as the architect/ designer has such an exquisite taste which shows off in the smallest details. The select of burl wood trims with marble patterns, stylish lighting fixtures…
Rooms are spacious and full of technology. Bathroom with heat floor and even ironized glass which offers instant privacy with a click of a button.
This hotel alone is worth couple nights of stay where one could plan a getaway from the city life and fully immerse themselves in the hotel’s garden trails.
This hotel is great for tourists who prioritize monetary value as It’s essentially a five star luxury resort for a fraction of the price.
However, for those who enjoy a slower pace and a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy tourisy area it offers more.
This hotel had become an integral part of my spiritual retreat escaping city and exploring the FANJING mountain area.

I was pleasantly surprised on my first trip here. I booked such a wonderful guesthouse right away. The owner was kind and friendly, and even helped me with my luggage. The courtyard layout was exactly what I wanted, and the cleanliness was also excellent. I would definitely come back again. It was a very satisfying experience!

Welcome fruit and snacks as well as a mountaineering gift bag are provided when you check in. , compared with the environment and facilities, the price is very good. There is a business downstairs, which is very convenient for eating. What is particularly worth mentioning is the attentive and attentive reception at the hotel's front desk. Guest UserThis was the best service we received in China so far. We booked the hotel quite last moment after contacting the owner, because they were extremely helpful securing for us the Fanjingshan tickets offline (because online tickets were sold out). Then they prepared breakfast and snacks for us before climbing the mountain. It is only a bit over a kilometer from the scenic area entrance. Our concierge Xiao Wu and his hospitality was beyond anything we ever experieneced in any hotel, he helped us organize a transportation, helped with translating, recommended the best restaurants in the area and even handled discounts for us.
When it comes to the hotel itself - beautiful smaller place but with lot of rooms. The pool is nice relaxing treat after hard walking the main attraction in the area. Always clean and well organized. The only thing we did not understand was that big rooms had only one double bad, and room with two double beds was comparatively smaller..
I wish more international tourists would visit this area and this hotel in particular, the staff would appreciate practicing some English.. :-)
