凯文范I was exploring Guizhou and decided to hike Fanmingshan. Compared to others, this was a reasonable price and distance to the scenic area. The immediate surrounding village 寨沙东 had some restaurants and stores (although I walked up the road to eat) and was 40 min walk to the entrance. A few other lodging choices are in more remote sections of the river, with only 1 or 2 store fronts or none at all;while a bit cheaper may have no easy transportation or drive options. I was the only person staying and got upgraded, and enjoyed their light breakfast in the morning. The room was well furnished and had a built-in mattress heater which was excellent in the winter. The owner also helped drive me to the entrance and also arrange the 35 rmb shuttle back to Tongren HSR. All in all excellent value and hospitality!

KKristymaomaoStaying at Xieshan Jingshe, nestled at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, felt just like going back to my grandma's house when I was a child. Stepping off the car, crossing a small bridge, and entering the courtyard, there was an immediate sense of familiarity and peace. A babbling stream flowed in front, while silent mountains loomed behind. The courtyard was lush with greenery, exuding the scent of damp earth and the passage of time. Moss slowly spread along the flagstone path, and bamboo shadows swayed gently. Koi fish glided serenely in the pond, and the bell by the entrance chimed softly in the breeze, making you instinctively lighten your steps. This wasn't some contrived 'Chinese style,' but a place truly lived in. Their attentiveness was subtle but profound. Knowing roughly when we'd arrive, they'd already warmed the room, even the comforter was toasty. A wisp of sandalwood incense was slowly burning, and the tea set was neatly arranged, as if awaiting its owner's return. The moment I opened the door, my heart felt at ease. The furnishings inside reflected a restrained and tasteful Chinese aesthetic. Carved wooden window lattices, soaring double-leaf Chinese doors, and soft, warm lighting – each item seemed to have stepped out of an earlier time. The collected artifacts and calligraphies were not flashy, yet each quietly told its own story. For dinner, we decided to stay in rather than venture out, opting for a 'home-cooked meal.' Upon hearing our request, the auntie immediately sprang into action – she went to another part of the property, caught a chicken, and stewed a fresh pot of chicken soup. Then she dug fresh fiddlehead ferns from the vegetable patch, still carrying the aroma of earth. There were also her homemade salted duck eggs, not overly salty, yet oily with just one bite. The firewood slowly burned, the soup in the pot gently simmered, and the aroma of the food gradually filled the air. That scent wasn't the refined fragrance of a restaurant, but the long-missed, comforting taste of home. This isn't just a 'chic' guesthouse; it’s far more touching than many of them. It's like a well-preserved slice of life – quiet, authentic, and full of warmth. This is a place one will remember and want to return to for another short stay.

GGuest UserThe B&B I carefully selected is great: the small building is located at the foot of the mountain. The architectural style combines modern simplicity without losing the local folk customs. It is backed by green mountains and surrounded by swaying bamboos. There is a swimming pool in front of the door, and there is a small bridge and flowing water when you go out. There is a treasure ”jelly-colored” water area a hundred meters away, which is convenient for children to play in the water after climbing the mountain. Adults can sit on the rocks in the shade and dip their feet in the water. In the stream, all worries and fatigue disappear. When you return to the B&B, the owner will cut watermelon, make tea, and prepare special handmade summer sparkling drinks. The creek is rising, the breeze is blowing on my face, the moon is setting and the sky is filled with stars, that's probably it.

MMengmenghensongThe butler service at Fanjingshan Yunshe Courtyard is absolutely top-notch. Even before check-in, they proactively sent warm reminders and travel guides. Upon arrival, they helped with luggage and offered locally brewed welcome tea. When the weather turned cold, they brought extra blankets without us asking. Any requests were promptly handled, and their 24/7 attentiveness made us feel right at home. The village where the courtyard is located, Yunshe Village, is truly a fairyland. Known as the 'First Tujia Village in China,' it's framed by green mountains, with the Longtan River winding through. Tujia wooden houses are reflected in the water, and flagstone paths connect fields and homes. There's no commercial hustle and bustle, just ducks and geese swimming, and windmills turning. Strolling through, the natural beauty and slow pace allow for complete relaxation.

SShibazi123The environment here is fantastic, with a babbling brook in the front and lush mountains in the back. The proprietress is lovely, very easygoing, and provides excellent service. She even gave us some homemade beer! You can also host parties right on the premises.

RRaghunath C G NairAmazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

22036192201This is, without a doubt, the best place to stay when climbing Mount Fanjing. As long as you can make it to the Fanjing Mountain parking lot, the owner will take care of everything else for you, including accommodation, meals, parking, tickets, and getting you in with the first group. The guesthouse is located within the scenic area, a two-story wooden building with all rooms on the second floor. The shower water is wonderfully hot and has great pressure. The owner and his wife are fantastic! They provide pick-up and drop-off service between the scenic area parking lot and the guesthouse. We even entered the scenic area with the owner as part of the first group in the morning, and successfully summited Red Cloud Golden Peak with my 80-year-old father.

KKAREN_ROAMSLocation is best in town, The service is good, the owner of this hotel helped me a lot for my transportation from Guiyang to this hotel, she even help me buy the car pool ticket and then I pay her back when I check in. About this hotel room, This is not the hotel I booked and it’s totally different name! the actual name of this hotel 天福大酒店is another name which has lower rating in Trip.com It’s an old hotel, majority of the room are old, only small quantity is slightly renovated. Bathroom is not clean, towels has smell. I don’t sleep peacefully in this room. I check out and move to another hotel.

GGuest UserThis is an ideal hotel for taking children on summer vacation. A highly recommended summer resort hotel. The hotel is a garden hotel with excellent amenities and a good breakfast. The hotel is also located next to a crystal-clear river, perfect for swimming and fishing. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from Fanjing Mountain, offering stunning scenery. If you're driving, this is highly recommended and a great value. I'll be back next year. The service was also excellent. My only suggestion is that the toiletries could be better; those with more sophisticated needs should bring their own.

GGuest Userto be honest, This hotel is definitely good value for money. Compared to hotels near shops, I prefer accommodations that are some distance away from Fanjing Mountain. One of the reasons is that if you want to walk around shops or go shopping at night, you will be disturbed and forcefully sold to by many people. The hotel provides many services including transportation to the entrance of Fanjing Mountain and breakfast. This is a very thoughtful service and I am very satisfied with it. There are many restaurants near the hotel, and many locals dine there. Choosing 3D2N is definitely the first choice. Going up and down the mountain consumes a lot of energy. After we came down the mountain, we went straight to the hotel and slept for 14 hours. The only downside to being near Fanjing Mountain is that it is very far to other attractions. Make sure you can catch a car or bus back to the hotel before nightfall.
