Mountain Fanjing Qixi Resort

The environment is beautiful and the location is unbeatable, just a 5-minute walk to the scenic area. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping were all very warm and proactive, especially 007 Xiao Ma, who left a lasting impression.

It might have been the rainy season because the hotel corridors were quite damp, but the view was excellent! We got a free room upgrade from the first to the second floor, and the balcony had a screen door, which was great for letting in fresh air. They even allowed us a late checkout until 2 PM the next day, which was very thoughtful since we went hiking Fanjing Mountain in the morning and could shower afterward before leaving. This hotel was much better than the Anantara we stayed at. The best part was our butler, Xiao Man (007). Since we had just come from Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, we needed to wash two days' worth of clothes, and Xiao Man thoughtfully brought us a portable drying rack! That was a lifesaver, as we didn't have to wait in line at the laundry room to wash and dry our clothes. The view from the balcony was amazing.

The hotel's location is perfect. After crossing the Wind-Rain Bridge, it's about a 5-minute walk to the entrance of the scenic area. However, on the way back, you *must* ask the Fanjing Mountain staff to open the gate for you to return via the entrance road. Otherwise, you'll have to take a very long detour. The family room was very spacious, with two rooms, and very comfortable.

The environment is beautiful and it's close to attractions. The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are enthusiastic and able to help with any issues. Very satisfied!

Overall, the location is unbeatable, super close to all the attractions, and the landscaping is beautiful, creating a really nice ambiance. However, the room was quite damp, so that's something to keep in mind for future guests. As for the service, compared to boutique B&Bs, it's a bit lacking, but the breakfast was pretty good. All in all, it offers great value for money.

We embarked on a 14-day trip to Guiyang this time. We took a direct bus from Zhenyuan Ancient Town bus station to the East Gate of Fanjingshan. After a short walk of a few minutes, crossing the Heiwuan River Wind-Rain Bridge, which spans the Taiping River and features typical Dong ethnic architectural style, we arrived at the hotel. I'd say the transportation was incredibly convenient. During check-in, we met front desk attendant Xiao Le (No. 02). He was very enthusiastic and smiling, taking our two pieces of luggage and escorting us to our room. He also presented us with complimentary welcome fruits and shared a Fanjingshan travel guide, which we found very touching. Since this was our first time in Guizhou and we were traveling independently, we weren't very familiar with the transport connections. Before our trip, I called the front desk to ask which Fanjingshan gate the hotel was closest to. The person who answered the phone was impatient, said they were busy, and hung up after just a couple of words. It's the same hotel, yet due to differing service attitudes, guests experience very different feelings. If Guizhou wants to develop its tourism industry, even with the national government building highways right to its doorstep, the service awareness still needs significant improvement.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk from Fanjing Mountain's East Gate. The overall environment is decent. The room price mainly reflects its prime location; the room amenities (coffee cups, showerhead limescale, towels) aren't as good as those at a chain hotel. You're definitely paying for the location.
