"No complaints whatsoever, apart from the hot weather. The location is fantastic, and the environment is stunning – it truly felt like a scene out of the 'Wizard of Oz'. Jintan Beach is right downstairs, perfect for taking the kids to catch small crabs and collect seashells. However, compared to Yintan Beach, the water quality here is slightly inferior. On the bright side, Jintan offers better value for money, and most importantly, the sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking. The swimming pool downstairs is also excellent – clean and well-maintained. Dining options nearby are plentiful, and if you don't feel like going out, you can easily order food delivery to your room."

"We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express by Intercontinental and liked it so much we extended for two more days. The hotel is located within the Silver Beach scenic area, and the rooms are brand new, featuring a Japanese minimalist design with a dry-wet separation bathroom. The front desk and concierge service were both very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. It's definitely our top choice for a vacation, and we'll come back again if we have the chance! 🌹🌹"

"The living room is still relatively clean and the refrigerator is not bad, but there are still many shortcomings. First, the toilet is a bit narrow. When taking a bath, the water will splash on the washstand. The toilet flushing setting is not very convenient and the ventilation fan should not be used. It should be broken. I am worried about carbon monoxide poisoning and the bedside plug is too much. Few others are not bad, I hope I can improve these a little bit."

During this trip to Guangxi, staying at the Hilton Garden Inn was the best sleep experience. 2. The hotel facilities are new and clean. 3. The hotel has a rich breakfast. 4. "The biggest highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly our butler, Lulu. Before our arrival, she proactively contacted me to understand our needs and went above and beyond to fulfill them. She was incredibly helpful with anything she could coordinate and actively sought solutions for things beyond her direct control – truly commendable! 👍 During our stay, she was incredibly responsive and efficient in booking activities and arranging a late check-out. So, these 5 stars are definitely for our butler. Another great point is the lifeguard at the pool; they are, without a doubt, the most responsible I've ever encountered at a hotel. They diligently watched the pool every single minute, never getting distracted. The staff at the kids' activities also did a fantastic job, engaging with every child and ensuring everyone felt included. On the downside, the room cleaning could be improved. The non-slip mat in the bathtub had a greasy film underneath (though when I informed the butler, she immediately resolved it and provided disposable bath liners). Replenishment of amenities was also inconsistent. The hot food at the executive lounge was disappointing and didn't match the quality expected from a five-star hotel at this price point. Lastly, the kids' club was very small and lacked proper ventilation."

"This stay was on the night before leaving Beihai at the end of our trip. The Wyndham's room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also excellent. When we checked out, the staff enthusiastically helped us with our luggage to the car, so the service was great. The only downside was that the hairdryer in the room was very old-fashioned, making for a very unpleasant experience. I suggest they update it immediately to keep up with the times. (The other hotels we stayed at in Beihai and Weizhou Island all had Dyson hairdryers.) In comparison, this one felt very subpar and didn't match the hotel's positioning."

"Traveling to Beihai with my parents, I immediately booked a suite at the Marriott when I saw they had one! The actual experience was great too – the room was huge! It even had two bathrooms! And three separate AC controls, so we could adjust them as needed! Location: The hotel is right in the surging wave area of Yintai! You can use your room card to walk from the hotel straight to the beach! It's not too far from the airport, and getting to the high-speed rail station is quick too! Facilities: This is the only thing I'd complain about. First, on our second day in Beihai, we encountered strong winds, and the howling sound from the door gap was really scary! That night, the living room AC wasn't cooling well, so we called someone to fix it. When I mentioned the wind noise to the staff, they proactively adjusted the door's weatherstripping for us! I think the hotel should have informed guests about this as a standard procedure. Also, the hotel's refrigerator didn't cool at all! The pastries I bought on the first day molded overnight, so I had to throw them away. When I reported the non-cooling fridge, the hotel replaced it. We later figured out it was a ventilation issue – the fridge cabinet door couldn't be closed, or it would stop cooling again! Breakfast: The hotel breakfast was very rich. The bowl of noodles every day was delicious! There were also many dessert options, I recommend the Guilinggao (tortoise jelly)! Overall, I'm still very satisfied, especially since the price was so reasonable! All the staff were also very warm and polite!"

The hotel has a children's swimming pool where kids can play in the water, and provides sand digging tools so they can take them to the beach. Silver Beach (near Happy Harbor area) is a short walk from the hotel. Afternoon tea is served on the day of check-in, but since we arrived late, we were able to enjoy it the following day. The hotel service was excellent. Upon arrival, someone greeted us, helped with our luggage, and escorted us to our room. They patiently answered our questions and offered suggestions on activities and dining. The staff were very welcoming. They even thoughtfully provided a gift bag upon departure. Overall, this stay was excellent. Although we initially encountered a room issue, the hotel responded promptly and provided a good solution. The environment, facilities, and location all met my expectations for a relaxing vacation, making me feel right at home!

The environment is great, the hotel beach is uncrowded, and the sea here is the most beautiful I've seen during my stay on Weizhou Island. The service was warm and attentive; several staff members greeted us upon arrival. Our butler was always available to answer questions. Every day, we received breakfast, fruit, afternoon tea, and a goodnight stew, which made us feel really pampered, haha! The room was clean, and all the amenities were complete (facial towels, eye masks, and earplugs were all provided). Overall, it feels like a very thoughtful hotel, and the experience was excellent.

I was very curious how a property with such an affordable price has a such a high rating. I was immediately convinced by myself. The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

The homestay is beautifully laid out and much thought has gone into the design. It’s very quiet and relaxing, and has lovely benches and swings outside surrounded by beautiful plants. The owner is very eager to please. You can walk about 10 minutes to get to the beach - the beach and the park next to it is beautiful and stretches for miles. When I stayed in March/April, the weather was miserable and cold so I didn’t make use of the pool. One thing to keep in mind, is that this is a homestay catering to Chinese people - that means breakfast is standard Chinese and the mattress on the bed is also Chinese-firm. Neither of the owners speak English, but you can add the lady on Wechat to communicate with her. Being a homestay means less crowds and more relaxing. The owner was very kind to refund me one night when I decided to shorten my stay due to the crappy weather. I really appreciate that she was flexible and accommodating with this.

Quickly booked in. 1st room Chinese toilet, one with sitting toilet smelled like smoke, then 5007. Then kettle's plug's 1 point was broken off. Give other kettle. Still very nice ... Cheapest on my trip from Dongxing on Vietnam border along coast to Zhuhai, but most comfortable! Very long duvet for me as I am 1.83m tall. Plenty of nice hot water! Clean bedding. Spacious room with large place to make tea etc, to charge devices and put luggage on... Bathroom also has place next to basin to put your vanity case or bag.... (I travel with my own toiletries as I am allergic to many stuff). Everything is clean. There is a lift - convenient for 5aking luggage to room. Parking in backyard very convenient. Only draw back: Glasses didn't look clean. Carpet could be vacuum cleaned. One bed light didn't work. @
