YYigexihuanzhenshidianpingdeyonghuI didn't take any photos this time. First, let me talk about the facilities: I forgot to check for a bathtub, assuming there would be one. It's my own fault for not checking. The sink and shower were fine, no major problems.
Cleanliness: The walls upstairs in my room were black, but the grout lines were peeling off, making it difficult to place anything on them and leaving black residue. This wasn't a good experience.
Environment: The environment was okay, but it's located in an area full of guesthouses. I recommend renting an electric bike; riding one in the evening is incredibly relaxing.
Service: The service was impeccable, deserving a 5-star rating.
The downside: One bad thing was the swimming pool! We've taken our child to Sanya dozens of times and never had an ear infection from swimming, but here, one time we had to go home to see a doctor. The doctor said it was from swimming; something got in. Looking back, I don't know why the pool water in Beihai is salty—was it just seawater? Sanya's pools use disinfectant additives, which I suspect this one didn't.

We stayed in a pool-access twin room for two days, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great design aesthetic. Opening the balcony door led directly to a beautiful private pool, which connected to the public pool area. Both the private courtyard and public areas were perfect for photos. My child could swim directly from the room to the outside, which was a huge hit! The atmosphere was completely different between day and evening.
What touched me the most was the hotel's meticulous service, which warmed our hearts from check-in until we left.
**Welcome Gifts:** Upon arrival, the hotel presented us with thoughtful and practical welcome gifts, including a tote bag, an umbrella, mosquito repellent spray, mosquito repellent bracelets, hair ties, and other useful small items.
**Breakfast:** Every day, the ingredients were fresh, and the food tasted excellent. We could even reorder dishes. Even my picky eater at home enjoyed it thoroughly.
**Fruits & Afternoon Tea:** Fresh fruits were provided in our room daily. The afternoon tea pastries were exquisite and delicious. Sitting by the pool, enjoying desserts while watching our child swim in the courtyard, was incredibly relaxing.
**Goodnight Desserts:** Every evening, there was a warm, comforting dessert waiting for us, which helped us sleep soundly.
**A Special Birthday Surprise for Our Child:** We had booked the hotel's photography service for our child's birthday that day. To our surprise, the hotel secretly prepared a cake and delivered it to our room. Our child was both surprised and delighted! The cake was also very thoughtfully made and incredibly delicious, with cream that was sweet but not cloying. This level of thoughtfulness is truly not something every hotel can achieve.
I must also highlight the hotel's complementary photography service! I initially booked it with a 'let's just try it' mindset, but the photographer was professional and patient, incredibly skilled at finding the best angles. From the public areas to the unique pool in our room, every shot was exceptionally high-quality. Communication was smooth throughout, and the photos were delivered quickly, without the assembly-line feel of a typical photo studio. It left us with perfect travel photos for our child's birthday, which was incredibly meaningful! All the best photos from this trip to Weizhou Island were thanks to Reef Hotel's photography service.
If you're looking for a hotel with attentive service, stunning surroundings, and the bonus of free high-quality photos, Reef Hotel is definitely the top choice on Weizhou Island. A little flaw is that the room is not very soundproof, the guest activities will be louder in the morning and evening, there is a five or six hundred meters away from the Shiluokou style street where you eat, there is no light on the road, pay attention to the vehicle a little.

Not only is the room clean and tidy, but even the lobby is bright and comfortable. The landlady is even more warm and thoughtful. Originally we were older. Unfavorable legs and feet. I was scared when I saw the room on the second floor. Unexpectedly, the landlady had already thought of it for us. Unexpectedly, we were moved to the next floor without even saying anything. We are very happy. I forgot to bring hand cream and the lady boss brought her own for me to use, which really touched me. This inn is considerate and considerate for its guests. The room is clean and smell-free, and the price is right. We made the right choice to come here.

Disadvantages: The location of the hotel is slightly biased, it is not good to come back at night, and there is no food nearby. Following the route the boss told us, we reached Silver Beach in less than 10 minutes. I sincerely recommend it. There is also a swimming pool in the hotel where you can swim in the afternoon. EEdmund GerardIt’s a perfect spot for visiting Beihai. You get amazing value for money. Quality room and a lot of space too , as well as a great location close to shops and railway station. Beach isn’t close but it’s easy to reach with DiDi. No issues with getting around town either. Great power shower, good a/c , bed is comfy, and the soundproofing works!
A negative is SMOKING! Even though it’s covered in no smoking signs it still happens. Rooms can fill with smell of next door smoking or some ignoramus walking along the corridor puffing away. It’s an issue for most hotels due to the high number of smokers in China, but if they enforced fines consistently then maybe it would stop more doing it. Having said that , I still use City Comfort because the POSITIVES massively outweigh that single negative.
No frills. Just delivers on quality at a value price with good staff.

GGuest UserThe room we got was on the fifth floor, and the view was pretty standard – mountains to the side, buildings in front, which was a bit of a shame, but overall still good. The location is a bit out of the way, but ordering takeout and getting taxis was super easy. We also tried their travel photography service, which was decent, but they didn't offer many photo choices. We stayed for two nights, and I'd definitely recommend it for the sea view; it’s much better than Wan H's view, no complaints there. As for cleanliness, some details might not hold up to close inspection, probably because it's an older place. Overall, I'd still recommend it.
