This surprise wasn't sudden; it accumulated little by little throughout the stay, transforming into a constant sense of awe and wonder. Initially, the hotel's color scheme seemed a bit odd, but I later learned it was the color of the sunset glow on the old buildings. This nostalgic and genuine warmth permeated every aspect of the hotel's service. Because the hotel was still in its soft opening phase, I was upgraded to a suite! I was overjoyed. 🛏️ Suite Experience Over 100 square meters. The suite included an indoor soaking tub and swimming pool. The color scheme was simple and elegant—a combination of off-white, light brown, and dark wood tones, instantly creating a relaxing atmosphere. The view from the window overlooked the Silver Beach! The room amenities were top-of-the-line, from bedding to toiletries, with attention to detail everywhere. 🍽️ Dining Stunning Completely unlike anything I'd expected from a third-tier city. The selection of breakfast items was simply unbelievable for a city like this. Makana Bakery, located in the bakery, offers locally inspired bread innovations—Guangxi Liubao Tea Croissant, Pandan Coconut Croissant, Lychee Sea Salt Croissant—bringing local flavors and French baking techniques together beautifully, rivaling boutique bakeries in first-tier cities. I tried the coffee shop, Chinese restaurant, and ice cream shop one by one, and each exceeded my expectations. The hotel dedicated significant space to local cultural exhibitions. As a keen citywalker, I was exhausted from exploring Beihai's old streets and various seaside areas, but surprisingly, the most insightful experience of the city came from the hotel's exhibition hall 🤣 The curation was excellent. The curatorial text and style were tasteful. It wasn't just a perfunctory display of folk customs, but a genuine exploration of the city's historical context and way of life—from maritime culture to the memories of the Tanka people, from the old street fabric to the evolution of contemporary Beihai. It was also a photogenic spot. Another feature of the hotel is the inclusion of a collection space showcasing several high-quality niche brands. From luxury lifestyle products to carefully selected souvenirs, everything was practical, stylish, and imbued with Beihai's essence. These brands offer excellent taste and value for money. Although I also visited other places and tried several hotels, I felt that this hotel was enough for my trip to Beihai. I could relax, enjoy the sea view, shop, and eat to my heart's content. Finally, let me talk about the service. It wasn't the professional hotel service I'd expected. Having stayed in top-tier hotels, I understand the natural and welcoming atmosphere of a butler. But perhaps because it had just opened, many people's eyes held a touch of naivety and unfamiliarity. They were cautious yet attentive, which was especially endearing. That simple, unfamiliar sincerity was touching. You could see their dedication. As a Ctrip Black Diamond member, I've stayed in countless great hotels. This is the first time I've written such a thoughtful review. Because this place is more than just a hotel; it allowed me to rediscover Beihai. It also solved the pain points of traveling in a third- or fourth-tier city regarding dining, service, and the aesthetics and practicality of souvenirs (and the value for money was excellent). This wasn't just a place to stay; it was a key to understanding Beihai and a haven for my short stay."

I have eaten breakfast, Chinese food, and buffet in the hotel. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The Chinese food is plentiful and reasonably priced, but the waiters in the Chinese restaurant are not as enthusiastic as the front desk and appear to be slack. The buffet is okay. The good food stall on the left side of the north gate of the hotel is good, and it feels better than the internet celebrity restaurant Yuexiang Kitchen in Qiaogang Fengqing Street."

Holding an umbrella to help us carry our luggage, and taking care of it in the rain, especially warm heart. \n I want to eat local fresh seafood, the boss took the initiative to drive his own car, took us to the seafood market for free, and taught us to avoid pits, arranged for the hotel kitchen to help us process, the processing fee is still below the market price, It really saves a lot of trouble; go out to visit the attractions at any time to tell the boss, enthusiastic advice, more warm heart is to give raincoats, prevent rain. \n The hotel environment is clean and comfortable, the rooms are spacious and tidy, and the supporting facilities are complete. The breakfast is very good. The boss does not treat us as ordinary guests at all, and he is concerned about everything. "Asaka is a newly popular hotel and community in Beihai, bearing a striking resemblance to Aranya in Qinhuangdao. The hotel's prices are very budget-friendly, offering great value for money in Beihai. We visited during the National Day holiday, when prices at popular hotels typically soar 2-3 times. While Asaka Hotel also had a significant premium, it remained quite competitive compared to the beachfront hotels at Silver Beach. We initially stayed two nights at Silver Beach, then explored the Asaka community, found it impressive, and decided to move to the Ferris Wheel Seaview Resort. **⛲️Environment:** Asaka Hotel currently primarily consists of the Ferris Wheel, Summit, and other sub-brand resorts. These are essentially hotel-style apartments designed and decorated within the community's high-rise residential buildings. They feature IKEA furniture and appliances, with a Nordic design aesthetic. The main differences lie in location, orientation, and floor level. This time, we stayed in a Deluxe Seaview Room in the annex building of the Ferris Wheel Resort. It offered expansive views of the southeast-facing beach and the adorable Ferris Wheel 🎡 nearby. The room was a one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom setup, similar to a small suite. There was also a private small courtyard at the room entrance with a washing machine and exhaust fan, perfect for storing odds and ends or drying clothes. A sizable balcony allowed for enjoying the view, relaxing, and catching the sunrise if you woke up early. Both the hotel and the room were relatively new and very clean. The living room had a small refrigerator and a stove (though not used). Breakfast was served as a set meal in the staff canteen; it was simple but decent. Alternatively, you could dine at one of the restaurants within the park. The service was quite good, with quick responses to inquiries. Overall, it felt like a well-serviced hotel-style apartment, suitable for an extended staycation. **🎡Facilities:** Asaka Park boasts a large outdoor water park, a children's pool, an indoor children's playground, and a children's library, making it ideal for families with kids—this is its biggest selling point compared to other hotels! Unfortunately, we encountered Typhoon 🌀 Muifa, which led to the closure of both indoor and outdoor children's facilities for several days. There are also adult pools, a cinema, a bookstore, an art gallery, several specialty restaurants and bars, and charming plazas with art sculptures and installations perfect for relaxing and taking photos. Around the park, you'll find numerous art installations and landscaped gardens with a similar theme. To the south are the landmark Ferris Wheel and a larger water park, though they were not open during my visit. Overall, Asaka is a community with a strong sense of design and plenty of recreational opportunities, well worth exploring, photographing, or even staying for a short visit. **🌀Typhoon Days:** We happened to be there during a direct hit from a typhoon, which significantly impacted our experience. The water park and children's playground were closed, and park restaurants were overcrowded. Waking up in the middle of the night, I could hear the howling wind outside and the slight swaying of the ceiling lamp inside 🫨 After the typhoon passed, the outdoor areas were a mess… However, I was impressed to see many service staff standing firm at their posts, ensuring the normal operation of the hotel community. **Finally, let's talk about the downsides:** The hotel rooms are all located in high-rise buildings, but each building only has 2-4 elevators. When you factor in delivery personnel, you can imagine how busy it gets during peak hours. Our luck was pretty good, but we still had to wait a long time for elevators a few times. I suggest strictly enforcing the rule that delivery personnel are not allowed into the hotel. Surprisingly, the in-room phone in the annex building couldn't dial the front desk. We had to use our mobile phones to call the hotel's main line, and some front desk staff weren't even aware of this issue. I recommend fixing the direct-dial phone problem or at least informing guests upon check-in and providing alternative contact methods."
