"I had a really enjoyable stay at Loccal Collection Hotel Labuan Bajo. The hotel has a very unique and stylish concept, with architecture and design that stand out compared to typical hotels in the area. The atmosphere feels modern, aesthetic, and relaxing — perfect for a getaway in Labuan Bajo. One of the best parts of the stay was definitely the view. Overlooking the sea and surrounding hills, the scenery from the hotel was beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. The pool area and common spaces were also great spots to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I appreciated the overall ambiance of the property, which felt calm and cozy throughout the stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever needed, making the experience even better. The location is also convenient, with easy access to cafés, restaurants, and the harbor area. Overall, Loccal Collection offers a memorable stay experience that combines comfort, good views, and a unique design concept. Definitely one of the more interesting places to stay in Labuan Bajo, and I would happily return again."

"Staying at Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo was an absolute delight. Despite being a relatively new property, having opened about a year and a half ago, it runs with the precision and grace of a seasoned resort. The warmth and hospitality of the staff were unmatched from the moment I arrived, and I must give a special compliment to the efficient and helpful luggage service. The security team, the front desk personnel, and the F&B team were all incredibly proactive and obliging, making sure I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after throughout my stay. Special mention to the front desk staff who were very helpful with our queries, reservations and check-out: Denal and Amelia 😊👋 I also want to highly compliment the day tour I took, which covered six different destinations. It was a perfect crash course of the entire national park and was well worth the money. I highly recommend anyone staying here to take up that one-day tour for an unforgettable experience seeing the dragons up close, frolicking on pink sands, snorkeling with turtles and manta rays and basking on a Bank crescent sandbank surrounded by crystal blue waters. While the breakfast variety was impressive and the chefs did a fantastic job keeping dishes stocked, the coffee/tea service was prompt...there is a small room for improvement in plate clearance. Being a bit more attentive to clearing used plates would certainly elevate the dining experience even further. Adding to that, we noticed that salt and pepper cruets weren't always consistently placed on every table, so ensuring those are readily available would be a great way to enhance convenience for guests. Additionally, Katamaran could significantly boost its appeal by offering complimentary access to its aquatic sports amenities, such as paddle boats, water bikes, and kayaking. We realized the free activities were not as popular though. Overall, with stunning views, excellent warm personalized service, I would highly recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again."

"This is my second time staying here. It's a great place to relax between activities. It's close to the airport, and you can walk to the main street with bars in about 20 minutes. Yet, you feel like you're in a secluded spot with a beach and a pool. The staff and rooms are all excellent. The buffet breakfasts are delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the laundry service. My friends and I sent our clothes for washing, but all the stains remained – they were just refreshed. And the cost was quite high for that."

"An excellent hotel where everything is thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable stay. The rooms and the entire property were very clean and well-maintained — everything looked neat and pleasant. The water in the shower was always running well, and there was consistently hot water, which is especially appreciated after a long day. A special thanks to the staff: kind, smiling, and always ready to help — you can really feel that they care. We were especially impressed that they prepared breakfast earlier than usual for us because of our early tours — a small gesture, but it says a lot about their attention to guests. At night, it was quiet and peaceful, nothing disturbed our sleep, and the room had a cozy atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful and green, clearly well looked after. We were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to our friends. Truly well done!"

"I highly recommend this hotel for a Komodo day trip, it's super convenient! It's right near the pier, so you can easily walk back, and there's a bustling food street right next door with Starbucks and KFC. It's also very close to the seafood stalls, making transportation a breeze. However, the infrastructure is just barely up to a five-star standard."

"What I didn't like was that we booked a room with a double bed and the option to add another single bed. We were a family of 2 adults + 1 child aged 10. We can't all sleep together on one large bed, so the request was specifically for an additional bed to be placed in the room. However, when we arrived, there was only one double bed in the room. I showed them my request, and they decided to arrange an extra bed for us on the spot. But it wasn't a proper bed – it was just a mattress they placed on the floor and covered with a sheet. A duvet wasn't provided either, just some kind of throw. The hotel isn't in the city center; it's a bit further out. You need to get to the city either by car (ordered through reception, as there are no regular taxis in Labuan Bajo, or by calling a motorbike taxi)."

One of the standout features is the private outdoor bathroom, which makes for a special experience—showering under the open sky and even catching a glimpse of the stars. The laundry service was also convenient and added to the overall comfort of the stay. There are a few practical considerations to keep in mind. The final stretch of road leading to the guesthouse is in poor condition; while it wasn’t an issue for me, it could be challenging for those who are not confident riding a scooter. Additionally, the nearby mosque broadcasts prayers late at night and early in the morning (around 4:45 am), which can be quite loud and may disrupt sleep if you’re sensitive to noise. I would recommend this place for travelers who appreciate unique stays and don’t mind the outdoor bathroom setup, the rough access road, or the early morning and nighttime noise."

"Fantastic location, stunning coral reefs, and superb, attentive service. The location is excellent; you don't have to leave at the crack of dawn for day trips—you can leisurely enjoy breakfast first. Every staff member, from the front desk receptionists to the transfer boat and car teams, restaurant, room service, bar, and diving services, is enthusiastic and professional. Having stayed at many top resorts in Southeast Asia, including the Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay in Bali recently, I can objectively say that apart from a few minor hardware differences (such as room soundproofing, mosquitoes, interior environment, and dining variety), this place surpasses it in every other aspect. It offers all the natural conditions and professional services of a top diving spot, combined with excellent hotel room service—it's perfect. Just one piece of advice: absolutely avoid the plain noodles!"
