Hot Springs Hotels in Baishan

Tucked away at the foot of Changbai Mountain, this tranquil courtyard offers a serene and healing escape. There's a pristine lake, and the private courtyards are quiet and elegant. The rooms are clean, and the owner is warm and thoughtful. You can even book a hot spring experience. In the evenings, there's a bonfire and fireworks – a truly rich experience after coming down from the West Slope. We were incredibly satisfied with our two-day stay.

Traveling with family, we weren't familiar with this hotel, but after checking in, we were pleasantly surprised by the Swiss-inspired views. We were very happy with both the room and the overall environment. The breakfast was quite extensive for the West Slope area, and the facilities were well-maintained. The two young men who checked us in on the 5th were very enthusiastic and helpful, giving us lots of information about our stay and local attractions. Overall, we were very satisfied.

During my stay at the hotel, the service was excellent, especially the concierge, Xiao Hui. He was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and taking care of every detail – a huge thank you to him! Also, the young lady at the front desk on the night shift on the 19th was very enthusiastic. However, I have to complain about the Chinese restaurant. My dad took my child there and ordered black truffle fried rice and stir-fried beef. I don't know if it was because they ordered too little, but the food never came. When they asked a female server about it, her attitude was extremely dismissive, just saying, ”Just wait!” I'm not sure if she wasn't properly trained or if she was just being selective with customers. Later, they asked a manager, who also couldn't give a definitive answer. In the end, they just ordered takeout to the room. Besides this one issue, everything else was great.

The bunk beds alone deserve a perfect score! No child can resist them. They even provide bed rails. The hotel lobby has toys, so waiting for the shuttle isn't boring. Plus, the shuttles are frequent and the signs are clear. While Songguoli is a bit far from the commercial street, the shuttle service makes it acceptable, and the price is much cheaper than hotels near the commercial street, offering great value for money. The complimentary activities were also generous. We had two adults and two children, and even though one child wasn't tall enough for some activities, they let the older child play twice, which was very thoughtful. The hotel concierge was also very responsive. The evening firework show was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommended! The other performances were also good. I prefer it here over Wanda. The shuttle buses are more frequent, making for a better experience.

The twin room was spacious enough for two kids to run around! It even had a small balcony. The furnishings inside were clean and new, and the whole room was equipped with smart devices. Downstairs, there's also a washing machine and dryer. The ladies at the front desk were all incredibly nice! They answered every question we had. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so one of the lovely ladies at the front desk specifically helped us call a restaurant owner to arrange pick-up and drop-off to and from the hotel. The room also came with complimentary access to the nearby hot spring, which has both indoor and outdoor sections. It might be a bit small for adults, but it's still enough for a good soak. For kids, it's paradise – they had so much fun! Getting to Changbai Mountain is super convenient too; the West Slope scenic area is only about a 5-10 minute walk away. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for visiting the South Slope the next day. The room was clean and tidy, and we could easily access the hot springs downstairs. The hot spring water was clear and sparkling, very comfortable. Dining at the restaurant downstairs was also very convenient. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Facilities: RV facilities are basically complete, can meet the needs of accommodation. Hygienic: The sanitation in the RV is very clean, there is no big problem. Because it is located in the forest area, the friends should pay attention to closing the doors and screens in time to prevent mosquitoes when they check in. Environment: The surrounding environment is beautiful, embracing the feeling of nature, the light pollution is less at night, and the sky is full of stars, which is beautiful. Service: It is recommended that the hotel can remind the guests how to open the electricity and water of the RV. Many people do not know how to live for the first time. Breakfast: Breakfast is eaten at a nearby hotel, pay attention to go early, there are many people on holidays. Dining: Driving to the commercial street there are some food, eat Burger King, not bad. With the rights: The sky glass of the resort bridge must be punched in, it is beautiful! Then there is Luyuan, just look at it, there are not many deer. Camp activities: The iron flowers at night are beautiful! Recommended! Other: pet friendly on big points! Recommended for parents with hairy children!

Trusting an established brand, I chose The Westin, but was utterly disappointed after checking in. The front desk staff and hotel butlers were all very warm and attentive. The parking garage attendant was also excellent and very considerate, especially when the garage was full. While I had anticipated the hotel facilities would be dated, given it's been open for many years, my actual stay was a huge letdown. I really hope the hotel management seriously considers renovating the property. Firstly, the room number design and signage on the same floor are confusing. I stayed in 33xx, but there were also 32xx rooms on the 3rd floor. When looking for my room, it was easy to assume and I ended up taking many unnecessary detours. Secondly, not only was screen mirroring unavailable, but the hotel's cable TV signal displayed noticeable static. I even wondered if the TVs hadn't been replaced since the hotel opened. Screen mirroring is now a basic feature in most hotels. The bathroom had a very strong and distinct urine odor. After reporting it, staff cleaned it and it improved somewhat. Cleanliness was an issue: I found spiders 🕷 in two different spots. Many surfaces were old, moldy, and blackened, which looked very unappealing. The housekeeping staff needs further training. Shoes left in the room were not neatly arranged, some were even askew, and the advertising flyer by the bed was just haphazardly placed. The toilet paper was far too thin. Is it normal for the shower gel to produce no lather when used? There were food residues, similar to rice grains, on the back of the information sheet on the desk. Clearly, the previous guest had left it dirty and it hadn't been cleaned.

The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from Wanda Resort. We rented a car ourselves, so staying here felt very convenient. Compared to hotels within the resort, the facilities are much newer and the price is more affordable. We, two adults and two children, even received a complimentary breakfast. Additionally, we bought ski passes for 400 yuan. We rented ski equipment at Haidongqing, and there were very few people there, whereas the town service center was packed. Overall, we were very satisfied and recommend staying here. Just a heads-up about the water park: the admission is free, but you *must* rent a locker for 30 yuan per person.
