GGuest UserFor anyone visiting Xipo and looking to explore the local produce markets, I highly recommend this guesthouse. It's very close to Changbaishan West Station, but I personally think it's more suitable for those traveling by car, as Changbaishan itself is a mountainous area. First, let's talk about the location. Driving to Songjianghe Grand Market, the morning market, and the local produce market takes less than ten minutes. This time, I didn't hike Changbai Mountain, so I'm not sure how far it is to the West Slope, but it felt very convenient. It's also about a 30-minute drive to Fusong County and the Wanliang Ginseng Market. Now, for the environment. The rooms are ground-floor courtyards and small wooden cabins, very quiet and clean. Our room was right next to the linen room, and the staff kept it meticulously tidy. The common area in the courtyard is quite spacious, offering plenty of photo opportunities for those who enjoy taking pictures. The guesthouse also has a few friendly cats. Here's the crucial part! If you can wake up early, you absolutely must try their breakfast. It's included with your stay. Songjianghe is actually a small town, and apart from a few breakfast stalls, there aren't many substantial places to eat breakfast. The hotel's breakfast is freshly made, not pre-prepared, and features authentic Northeastern specialties.

This was my first time booking this type of resort hotel, and they offer shuttle service from the train station to the airport – you just need to notify them a day in advance. The facilities within the resort are all fantastic, with lots of activities to enjoy. I booked for three nights, and on the last day, I went to the airport in the morning, after visiting Tianchi Lake one more time. I simply couldn't use up all the hotel benefits in a day and a half. Looking at it this way, a suite for just over 1000 a night was incredibly good value for money!

NnurelyaImpression: The hotel is so cute and really kids oriented. Its newly built and opened, hence not all taxi driver knew about the location. In Trip.com - English, the name is Sunggari Club Hotel. But if you want to ask taxi driver or bus, you should mention Sungouli instead and search in Amap using chinese name given in Trip.com. Location: West slope of Changbaishan. If the weather permitted, you can see the peak of Changbaishan from far away but very nice view. It was more happening at night around Swissotel area and more shops and restaurant around that area. Hotspring located in Clubmed building not far ifrom Swissotel and Burger King. The shuttle bus will only drop and pickup at Swissotel and not Clubmed, so you have to walk back to Swissotel once you finished with the hotspring. Pros: 1. Kids friendly - decorations, play area, room. All so cute and pretty. 2. The room package inclusive of the entrance vouchers and activities - skiing, deer place, hot spring, special event, breakfast. So it is really worth the money. 3. All the staffs are so friendly and helpful - even tried their best to communicate with us in English. 4. There is laundry room with washing machine and dryer and the detergents to wash and dry your clothes. Cons: 1. The hotel supposed to be kids friendly, but smoking is allowed inside the hotel. We've requested non-smoking room and we've got it. but the problem is, it is not non-smoking floor. Shockingly, there is smoking area in the hallway of the rooms besides the elevator in every level. So the smell will travel to the entire hallway and into the room. Since it was winter and heavy snow, we can't really open the window to let the smell get off. It was so suffocating. Really frustrated in regards of this as I strongly suggest for the hotel to consider implement a strict rules not allowed smoking in the premise and have a dedicated smoking area far from the room and eating place to promote safe place for the kids. 2. Even the hotel considered new, the toilet bowl still old-school, not automated as most of the new airbnb/homestay that we went. So for Malaysian, no bidet is the big concern 😅.

GGuest UserAfter staying in the Swiss town for two nights in Huamei Resort, experience a night RV. The RV belongs to the hotel in Pine Fruit. The RV is very clean and the equipment is complete. The most important thing is that the environment outside the RV is really beautiful. The view of the performance of the iron flower at night is very good. There is no need to squeeze with people. If there are many people, you can also barbecue outside the RV, which is very good.

Its location is practical — only 10–15 minutes from West Changbaishan train station — and there are plenty of dining options nearby, with Korean restaurant being a real highlight. Breakfast is acceptable, though having eggs cooked to order would make it more appealing. The real advantage of staying here is the access to the hot springs, included in the room price. While several pools were closed during our stay, the outdoor baths were open and provided a very enjoyable experience. A small detail that could improve comfort would be adding a hook on the bathroom door for clothes and towels. Overall, this property combines modern facilities, a convenient location, and relaxing hot springs, though a few small adjustments could make the stay even better.

GGuest UserStayed with my family during Chinese New Year. We booked a club suite and a club king room. The rooms were a bit dated but generally well-maintained. The club rooms come with executive lounge access. The light meals are served in the lobby on the first floor, and while the selection wasn't huge, it was convenient. We had a butler who added us on WeChat, recommended some local attractions and activities, and helped arrange transportation, showing good service. If you're bringing kids for skiing in winter, definitely book a coach in advance via the mini-program.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit old-fashioned, and there's an odor in the elevator. However, the room hygiene is excellent, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. You can also enjoy hot spring water showers and direct cold mineral water. The price is very good. The complimentary hot spring tickets offer great value, allowing you to try all the indoor (bicarbonate/strontium pools) and outdoor (herbal pools) hot springs. There are also some spa treatments that are perfect for a family outing. Most pools are warm, but you can also challenge yourself with a high-temperature pool to work up a sweat.

NNimodian/ouyadianTo catch a glimpse of the beautiful Heavenly Lake, I changed my itinerary and chose to stay here so I could go up the mountain first thing in the morning. It's a 5-minute walk from the West Slope Tourist Distribution Center. The lobby is bright and spacious, and the front desk staff were very helpful, answering all my questions. There's also a small convenience store where you can buy snacks. It seems there are two elevators, one for the hot springs and one for guest rooms. The room was quite large, the air conditioning was good, and the bed was comfortable with large, soft pillows, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, no strange odors, and plenty of hot water in the shower. The breakfast offered a good variety, and the taste was decent. There's a supermarket next to the lobby if you need to buy anything small. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from the high-speed rail station and 5-10 minutes from the town, so transportation is very convenient. I've attached a beautiful photo of Heavenly Lake from this morning.

Concierge Xiao Chen provided excellent service~ He proactively asked if I needed any assistance and checked on my stay experience, and all my requests were met~ What's interesting is that I had already reached the airport when I remembered I hadn't returned my ski pass. I asked the taxi driver to take me back, and Xiao Chen also helped me retrieve my ski equipment deposit. Northeasterners are truly kind!
