"As a Ronaldo fan, you must stay in this hotel! The decoration style of the hotel is very cool, and the design of the corridor is also very handsome! Above the bed there are paintings of Ronaldo’s career from childhood to adulthood, which is great! You can swim and bask in the sun on the hotel's terrace. Opposite is the sea and cruise ships. There are also jerseys signed by Ronaldo in the hotel. Ronaldo's museum is next to the hotel. Guests staying at the hotel can get tickets to the museum for free at the front desk, siu! ! !"

"Due to a cancelled flight, we had an extra day and decided to stay here again. We booked a slightly smaller family suite, but it was still very spacious. With two large beds and a small sofa bed, it easily accommodated four of us. We spent the unexpected extra day relaxing at the hotel, enjoying the beautiful scenery and delicious food. The hotel restaurant charges the same as places outside, and there are plenty of options across the street, plus a supermarket. Buying drinks and snacks to enjoy back in the room was also a lovely treat. The pool is saltwater, so it's best to keep your head above water when swimming. There's another pool a few levels down, and if you're a strong swimmer, you can even go for a dip in the sea."

"This was our 6th time here at the Royal Savoy and we love it. From the moment we arrive we always have an amazing experience. We have become close with quite a few members of staff and look forward to seeing them each time. The catering staff really make it for us, especially Pedro, Miguel and Joao. Food is delicious and always presented beautifully. Breakfast is well stocked. The pool area is amazing. I love how each seating area is quite private and offers a different view. Always plenty of places to sit. Inside pool is also really nice but I have to say that this time it was overrun with kids. Sometimes they were even in there unattended which doesn't seem safe. With the kids dive bombing into the pool and splashing/screaming it means that no one else is able to use it. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and house keeping do a great job. The rooms are outdated but I understand if the hotel is closing in a few years then there's no point in renovating. Great time as always and can't wait to be back!"

"I liked the location of the hotel up the mountain and close to the tropical gardens, but it won't suit everybody. Nearby dining opportunities outside of the hotel are limited. Buses to Funchal are fairly frequent or there is the cable car if you can afford it. The hotel has an old world charm and is surrounded by lovely gardens. The staff are helpful and were able to arrange days out for me with a local guide. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with views of the sea. My only complaint is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are cleaned every day. The hotel has a large indoor swimming pool, although I found the water too cold for my enjoyment. Overall my stay at Quinta Do Monte was value for money."
