We stayed a week in this hotel. The staff were really friendly and told us of a local restaurant which was great. No real issues the first night. Breakfast the next morning was included (which I did not no about, informed on check in) - was ok… esp for vegetarian. There was a couple of dishes of meat slices and a dish with cheese slices. Some white rolls and oats. Orange juice was long life and weak & milk was long life too. Apples and oranges in fruit. This was the same breakfast every morning, so it was boring by the 3rd day. The second night I was scratching and had an asthma reaction and felt v hot and scratchy in bed. Following morning I was covered in bites on my arms and chest especially. I mentioned to the staff on duty and she said that there were mosquitoes around. I have had mozzy bites before but I was ready to accept her explanation. I did ask for a room change. I was given another room key immediately and we moved. The bites continued in the new room and I complained again. By this time I had spent money on a plug in mosquito repellent, antihistamine tablets, ann anti bite cream and a roll on mosquito repellent, which I rolled on my body prior to bed. I did this for the the rest of the week. The bites did eventually stop… the bed in the first room was the culprit but I did not want to take any further chances. The bites were extremely sore and itchy. Completely ruined my holiday - I have never experienced bedbug bites but when I looked into it, that was exactly what I had experienced. I am sure that the hotel staff were aware of the bedbugs problem and still placed us in that room, which is completely unforgivable.
