"This so-called five-star hotel may enjoy a prime location next to the Eiffel Tower, but the reality is deeply disappointing for the price they charge. The central issue, and one that ruins the entire stay, is the ancient air-conditioning system. It can only produce either heating or cooling—not both—and the creaky controls offer no real control at all. We stayed in late September when the afternoons were still hot and sunny, and the room became unbearable. Opening the window wasn’t an option either, since it just brought in street noise and light, making rest impossible.
When I complained, the staff first tried to mislead me by saying they would send a technician to “fix” it, as if this were a problem isolated to my room. Of course, they knew full well this is a general, long-standing issue built into the system. Instead of any actual solution, they then attempted to placate me with complimentary coffee and champagne—which I pointedly returned.
Reading other reviews confirmed I was not alone. Many guests describe the exact same problem, and management appears content to ignore it. For a hotel that charges luxury rates and claims five-star status, the lack of a modern climate system is unacceptable and feels like outright negligence.
My advice: avoid this hotel entirely in spring or autumn when temperatures fluctuate. If comfort matters at all to you, spend your money elsewhere—this place is only trading on its view of the Eiffel Tower, nothing more."

"First off, the location is incredibly convenient. Montparnasse Metro Station is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to reach any part of Paris. The front desk service was also quite good, and the facilities were very comprehensive. The free mini-bar was a pleasant surprise, and the security measures were excellent. However, the biggest drawback was the hotel's hygiene, which was genuinely concerning. Upon arrival, I even found residual body hair on the bedsheets and duvet cover. Luckily, I had brought my own. Room cleaning was only average, and the mini-bar wasn't restocked for two days after its contents were used. Overall, there's significant room for improvement."

"I recently stayed at Shangri-La Paris and had a mixed experience. I had specifically paid for a room with a view, but unfortunately, for the first two days, I didn’t get the room I had booked, which was disappointing—especially considering the high standards expected from a luxury hotel like this.
However, after raising the issue, the hotel finally provided me with the correct room. The next two days were much better, and I must say the view was absolutely breathtaking—definitely worth the wait. The iconic sights of Paris from the room were truly unforgettable, making the experience feel special.
Overall, while the initial inconvenience was frustrating, the hotel did make up for it in the end with the stunning view I had originally hoped for. I’d recommend double-checking your room upon arrival, but once everything is sorted, the experience can be magical."

"Good customer services.The place is very close to terminal 3 and also close to the metro which makes coming in out easy when you early morning train to catch. However not closer to Paris, you have to pay 13 euro in and out for the subway or metro. I came in with my wife for two days stay, the room is just basic. The washrooms are very small and very inconvenient.
When coming for more than a night stay come with your toothbrush, paste and your disposable bedroom sleepers. The hotel do not have it."

The hotel breakfast offered very limited options. The elevator is on the 0.5 floor, so if you have a lot of luggage, you'll need to carry it up half a flight of stairs to get to the elevator, and then another half flight to your floor. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly though, and will assist with luggage. Overall, the service was very warm and nice.

But they still clear my table, also take away my card for telling them if I am still here. That means they treat me as already left. When I come back, I asked them to change me to another table for two to avoid misunderstandings, one staff told me that he will clean the table for me but he forget it. After take away the card for telling them if I still occupied the table, no one give me back. I asked one of the staff give me back but he simply requested me to ask other staff to do it. Later, they cleared my table again because there is no card. A lot of mistakes. If charge this price, service is fail.
The food is generally good. Good position and can appreciate Efital tower every night.

GGuest UserThe people were fantastic! Very helpful and accommodating and deserve good tips. The location is nice, not that close to EiffelTower but close to park and restaurant choices. You need to learn the metro and bus system in order to visit Paris or if you have a family just Uber. Two big issues: the indoor pool water is cold and my 11 year old refuses to swim in it. A pool was a huge selling point and ended being unusable. The place caters to families, and a 24 hour payable washer and dryer would be very useful on the premises. Otherwise, the beds are very comfortable and I definitely recommend staying there as a couple or with family.

The interior design of the hotel was a masterpiece in itself, with Raphel Navot's talent evident in every detail. The ambiance exuded elegance and sophistication, creating an atmosphere that truly enhanced the overall guest experience. Additionally, the rooftop bar provided breathtaking views of Paris, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment.
Regrettably, the overall experience was overshadowed by a combination of disappointments, notably the service at the ground floor cafe. The male employee with a beard exhibited a dismissive and inattentive demeanor during my interactions with him. His lack of attentiveness made me feel overlooked, leaving me hesitant to further explore the cafe's offerings. While I typically do not demand exceptional service, this level of inattentiveness fell short even of my usual expectations.
This attitude displayed by this specific employee overshadowed the positive hospitality offered by all other employees at the hotel, leaving a bittersweet impression of the overall service.
Furthermore, my stay was marred by a billing issue, resulting in double charging for my fully prepaid reservation. Such an oversight was embarrassing.
On a positive note, I must commend the other hotel staff, particularly those at the reception and rooftop bar areas, for their accommodating nature, contributing to a more pleasant overall experience.

AAvelineI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Artus Hotel and I was lucky to chance upon this hotel during my search. There are so many options and recommendations out there. I'm glad I chose this hotel for my maiden trip to Paris.
First, the location. I can walk to the major landmarks like River Seine, Louvre, 'Dorsay museum, Notre Dame, etc. It is located close to St Germaine, so there are many charming streets to roam about and many options for food and supplies. I feel safe wandering around on my own as a solo female traveller.
Second, the place is tastefully decorated. I like my room which has windows that overlook the streets as well as the decor. The bed is so comfortable that I slept very well during the three nights I was there. The housekeeping staff also kept the room clean and I like that the hotel embraces environmental practices. The only thing is that the yellow lights in the room can be a bit dim, but the white light used in the bathroom is bright.
Third, the staff. I was greeted by a lady when I checked in and she is so understanding, patient and nice with me. I would like to commend her for her great personality and attitude, but I missed getting her name. The other staff I met are equally friendly and nice (two young ladies, one named Li/Yang; and another gentleman). Even if they don't know something, they will look up the information for me. They will also provide me with recommendations. I also must compliment the driver who picked me up from the airport and drove me to the airport (hotel transfers). He is very polite and considerate and he makes me feel at ease when i was travelling in his car. Even the gentleman who helped me with my luggage wore a big smile on his face. Thank you to everyone I've met during my stay and which made my experience a pleasant one.
I learned only on my last day that they have another sister hotel a few steps away. One of the staff recognized me and invited me to take a look inside. Again, the place is tastefully done. If I have a chance to be back in Paris, I will check out both Artus Hotel as well as this hotel. I would also like to take this opportunity to make a request to the guests who are going to stay in the hotel - let's make an effort to treat the room as if it is our own. That way, the hotel will stay in a good condition for a longer time and future guests will get to enjoy the stay as much as I did. Thank you :)

The room is relatively big and very comfortable, you’d have a tiny modern kitchen with cutlery, water boiler and hob as well as a fridge. Not to mention the blackout curtains did the job! We had a very good sleep for 2 nights :)
The receptionist was very kind and helping! He recommended a restaurant called ‘Au Relais’ for lunch nearby and it turned out absolutely amazing!!

DDaitieGreat little hotel on the outer skirts of Paris. It's decently located within a 10 minute walk of 2 metro stations. There's a small gym that's 24hr, co working space and a restaurant as well as a laundromat on site.
Reception is open 24 hours and they're very friendly and will try their best to cater to your needs.
The rooms are extremely clean, and has all the amenities you would normally need (except a spoon to stir the coffee). They provide a reusable glass bottle to take on your day out (which is purchasable if you would like) and they have water refill stations throughout the hotel.
For the price i can't complain. Brand new hotel, you can still smell the paint! Extremely clean. Comfy beds (though the sheets are quite thick and I felt a little warm even when the air con was on full blast!)
Would definitely recommend if you don't mind the travel into central Paris (I'm from London so the commute is nothing compared to the London underground). Supermarkets and small brasseries located nearby and there's also a restaurant thats open till late that provides drinks and food.

I stayed at the Originals with my friend for 3 nights, then another 2 nights. We pre-booked and paid for the 3 nights in FULL before arrival.
Upon arrival, we were charged a deposit of €150 Euros which was explained to be a security deposit to be returned after checkout.I had no issues with that and focused on exploring Paris.
There was a day my room wasn’t cleaned and I complained to a mixed lady at the hotel reception politely to inform the cleaner and she condescendingly looked at me and blurted “I’m not the cleaner”. I never asked her to be one, I only informed her so she can tell the cleaners to make a stop at my room and refill the shower gel, replace soap and toilet paper.
The day I checked out, I missed my flight due to the Paris traffic and had to reschedule my flight to the next available date which was in 48 hours which meant I needs to stay in Paris for another 2 nights. I headed back to the hotel.
I don’t know why but our cards refused to work despite being funded. We had some Euros cash left in cash and paid for one extra night.
The next day, we asked to extend but our cards wouldn’t work. We informed them that we needed to get some sleep but would try an ATM or go to a BDC to change some Dollars.
In between, the cleaner came to the room and yanked off our key card cutting off the light supply, we were barraged with calls from the reception threatening that security was going to escort us out of the room.
It’s wild because most of their staff is black and yet they treated us like ****.
We saw how white guests were treated and black guests and the difference was clear.
Maybe they had an assumption and became discriminatory towards us.
Note that 4 nights out of 5 was already paid in FULL and they had a security deposit of over 200 Euros with them.
We had to abandon everything and rush to an ATM to withdraw more cash💰 to pay for the final day.
Let’s not get into the fact that one of their staff ******* almost tried to be ****** with me.
I got into the elevator to go and get water at the restaurant on the 8th floor, he kept looking at my boobs and made suggestive comments about wanting to spend the night with me. He also insisted on a hug.
I cried from the experience of that hotel and very horrified. As a travel content creator, I will document my experience with videos when I’m back home and share YouTube videos. If you’re a Nigerian or black woman, please avoid THE ORIGINALS. I was excited to be here but it turned into a nightmare.

-The room was clean and the bed was comfortable

-The shower has a curtain that was not very clean (the curtain tended not to retain the water therefore)
-Above the toilet on the ceiling there was a fire shower head where every 2-3 minutes a drop of water fell
